Third Time's The Charm Started by: cutie on Oct 27, '18 08:25

The family's urge to haul in more alcohol and money was growing incredibly strong.

This was exemplified through their acknowledgement of the arrival of a new drug lord in town, a short and stubby man built with a mind of his own. Many people were curious about his ways and often expressed their hesitance about getting too close to a man who is unknown in the mob society. A silent achiever could be deadly. If they ever thought to strike unexpectedly, it could do alot of damage. A fuckton.

Alas, cutie came to her senses one night after this mysterious man's arrival to The Windy City, and brought up the lunatic idea that they should trash everything he owns and everyone he KNOWS.

Now, this wasn't going to be easy, she knew that, but she was only a minor part of the plan. She clearly needed help from the people above her. To her, she would describe them as the top guns. Needless to say, in terms of rank, prestige and skill - they outdid her. She knew exactly who to approach as they were the only people she knew in Chicago - John and Bachelor. Third time's the charm, is it not?

She often thought that they were like two peas in a pod. Not only did they have similar traits, but according to her unlicensed psychologist analysis, they were questionable. This didn't have to necessarily be a bad thing, but cutie would often wonder if Bachelor had an oppositional personality. Who knows - maybe in his younger years he had to deal with ODD, but she shouldn't assume anything since she never asked him before about his childhood life.

Maybe that could be a topic for another day. On a brighter note, cutie found that she could easily put her trust in him. He was an all-round, nice guy with a lot of love to give.

Oh, yeah, one more thing - there was alot of bromance in the HQ. She always thought John was a complicated person. Although she had no business trying to figure out his sexuality, sometimes cutie couldn't help but stick her nose in situations that she wasn't supposed to be in. That was besides the point though. He could seem complicated to other people, but cutie knew for sure that what lies within him was a wonderful man who is bursting with happiness.

Truth be told, he didn't need a large circle of friends or popularity to boost his happiness and perception on life. cutie admired that, solely because of the fact that having alot of connections and being given lots of recognition wasn't always rewarding in the long term. It could bring about grudges and bad blood in The Honoured Society.

cutie was on a roll with her luck this time though. She was fucking excited for what her involvement in Outer Heaven would offer. There were currently three other people housed in the crew headquarters, but cutie figured that they might be too busy or occupied with something else in their lives to allow time for a big drug heist. So instead, she brought the proposal along to John first - since he was the head of the family, but she didn't mind if Bachelor was to crash the office meeting.

"John, I'm telling you... this is a realistic opportunity. This man has got drugs by the boatload just waiting to be sold to the public." cutie worked herself into a frenzy of gentle rage. She was completely sober, but to anyone else they may think she was off her head on something. She flicked her ash brown hair over her shoulder and widened her eyes at the confidential file in her hands. cutie cleared her throat nervously before sliding it to the direction of her crew leader.

"Okay look, I have evidence. This right here is a document of all his personal assets, so yeah - that's including his investment accounts, corporate bonds, business relationships, you name it. The reward is huge. Take a look for yourself, captain."

Suddenly, while in the middle of her determined rant that she rehearsed the night before - she was excused by Bachelor, John's right hand. cutie looked up unexpectedly to notice Bachelor looming over her shoulder. She didn't mind a third person as long as John was cool with it, but he seemed too invested in the file that cutie handed him so she sat back in her chair patiently.

cutie leaned back with her eyebrow raised, and arms crossed as if she was a serious business associate having a manly talk with another serious business associate. While John was assessing the outcomes of the situation, cutie couldn't help but also bring up all the other information about this man she dug up from the archives and private detectives she had hired.

"Uhhh John," she glanced at Bachelor for a brief second before turning back to John, "one more thing - yes... slight problem. He does know alot of people, and in fact has brought two other allies with him. So if we plan to take him down, we're not only knocking over the trunk - but also the damn branches. That's only a brief summary of what's going on though. I know we're gonna have to plan this out carefully."

Him, along with two other mob bosses, one from The Cordelia Family and the other from The Milano Family, have opened up multiple speakeasies over the Chicago district. These drinking loopholes were very popular among the thugs that lived around these streets, and they were also one of the very few places that would have heavy profit flow. The casinos were good too, but it would be good to start off with the small businesses. Testing their luck, you could say.

cutie was about to propose hitting one of the drug lord's illicit establishments first, but she waited for John's observations, as well as Bachelor's input - if he wished to do so.

There were a lot of things to take in that cutie was saying, but listening was definitely not the strong suit of the man who once won back to back years of lowest literacy rate in pre-school. It only took a few moments for his eyes to gloss over and the large machine gun sitting in the back of the room to call his name, not literally of course, but a nice gentle whisper of "Use me." went in one of his ears and directly out the other; much like most of whatever his associate was saying right now.

Before she could say anything else, Bachelor grabbed her shoulder and nodded.

"I've got this."

Brushing past Johnathan, he made his way to the rather large gun with a note above it which simply read Bachelor OFF LIMITS  which to him obviously meant that it was for his use only and no one else could touch. Picking up the bad boy, he winked at cutie and smirked towards John, neither of who were paying any attention to him anymore as they continued making their plans. He wasn't sure where he was going, but at some point he heard gold, maybe?

"I'll bring back the gold by tomorrow morning. You can both count on me.", again he was ignored and again he smiled brightly and pushed past John and outside of the room. Now what was he doing again? Oh, yes. Off to the old mine shafts! He'd find this gold or else he'd let down everyone in his headquarters.

Where would these people be without him?

"That man is going to die someday and it's going to be the most hilarious death that has ever happened on God's green earth." said John as he looked over the documents.

"This is pretty solid stuff cutie." said John as he looked up.

John spun around in his chair a bit before planting his size 14 boots on the ground to stop the revolutions. He rose from his seat and stared at his typewriter gathering dust.

"I'll finish it one day." whispered John to himself before turning to his associate.

"I'm green-lighting this operation. On one condition. We have to wait for Bachelor to get back from the mines. I have no idea what he does down there but he takes his time." said John.

Cutie nodded. John approached her slowly. He kept approaching until he was face to face with cutie.

"I have no fucking idea where he goes. I've searched the whole city; there is no mine." whispered John with a concerned look on his face.

cutie was ecstatic to hear of John's approval for the suicide mission they were about to embark on, and continued to let him speak as she leaned back in her chair. Funnily enough, Bachelor had been in the office the whole time while John was wondering where he was.

She raised an eyebrow before letting out a chuckle.

"John, john.. he's right here. See?" cutie pointed her finger in the direction of Bachelor, who was standing not too far from the boss.

When that was cleared up, she shook her head in an amusing manner. "Anyways, boss - you're the boss. So what should be my first 'task'?"
