Meredith stood among the citizens of various cities. She wandered through airports and through the alleys of the main cities. Meredith ventured far and wide on a journey of going through the paces of the ancestors before her. She had spent so long training in medical school that now she was venturing for something different. To put her training to use in the most unlikely of ways. Who needed medical attention more than the people hiding from the law? Who paid better? Deciding that the shadier parts of life would be worth the risk she began her journey slowly. At first she ventured through docks and airports her ancestors had seen. She took in the sites of each city and listened to the things being talked about in the streets. After traveling through most of the country, Meredith penned a letter to her person. Cristina Yang. "There seems to be a lot of stability around. Crime rates seem to be lower and there are far fewer murders. I am starting to wonder if I will be needed at all in these parts. Perhaps I should have stayed and worked in the hospital instead. -Grey" Sending the letter to Yang made her feel nostalgic. Like she was missing a piece of her while she was away. Instead of dwelling on the feelings, she turned back around and began to plot the rest of her visits. Where she would go next was unknown, perhaps draw on a random place her mother visited or something she had read. The future of hers awaited her in some unknown dark alley, lying there and bleeding on the door step of death.... or something. |

DorianGray had some across Meredith a couple of times already. One morning, he noticed her sitting down, writing what seemed to be a letter, and it made Dorian curious. DorianGray decided to walk past her, trying to read her words as he slowly passed her, but her handwriting was close to a doctor's, so Gray couldn't find it out immediately. Dorian then decided he needed a different approach to find out what Meredith penned down, without letting her notice. He waited and waited, knowing she busy travelling around, it could nevertake too long. When she did stand up, DorianGray followed her at a distance, far enough to be unnoticed in the crowded area, close enough to intervene if needed. At the moment Meredith approached a mailbox, holding the letter in her right hand, DorianGray decided to take a sprint to make sure the letter would end in his hands instead of in the mail. Just before Meredith posted her writings, DorianGray was able to push an old lady in between the mailbox and Meredith, making the old lady fall over and the letter fly up in the air.. I am terribly sorry! DorianGray told the old lady, as he looked at Meredith and the flying letter from the corner of his eye. He helped the lady up and told her Oh, Miss.. DorianGray shifted his look to Meredith Dorian extended his arm, holding his hand open, looking Meredith, who had picked up her letter, straight in her eyes, As he asked, he tried to remember the magic card tricks his father used to teach him when Dorian was still a kid. If he could get a proper hold on that letter, maybe DorianGray could find out what was on Meredith's mind and maybe, just maybe, he could take her to a Random place where she could flourish.. |

Meredith had kept the letter firmly in her grasp. She was always wary of strangers and knew that no one could be trusted. She certainly would never leave her mail in anyone elses hands. What if they forgot the postage or something? Shaking her head, Mereditch smiled politely. "I am sorry Sir. I did not see you there but you see I must get to the post office right away. Do not fret about the clothing or the letter... I will see to it that everything is looked after. Sorry to have bothered you." Thinking that the encounter was over, Meredith turned herself around and began to head in the direction of the nearest post office. Earlier in the day she had managed to get the directions. |

God damnit! DorianGray cursed internally as he tried to act the opposite way, calmly smiling at Meredith. You sound like a wise person, Miss.. I'm Dorian Gray, and it would be an honour for me to walk you to the most trustworthy mail office around here. As you know.. Dorian started whispering now DorianGray hoped to buy some time this way to think of a new plan to intercept the letter Meredith was holding, as he pushed the old lady away to the side once more, to create some space for Meredith and himself to move along |
