Smoke and moon Started by: Secra on Nov 11, '18 05:48

Secra stood, staring at the sky, the moonlight started to shine as duck turned to the blackened night. She walked quietly through the streets, her eyes dull and yet torn from the face of reality. She was unsure what she was really doing anymore. Walking slowly past the buildings she found herself wandering searching, yet stuck without any clue to where she was going.

The air chilly yet stale, like a calm before the storm. She followed the road she once knew from long ago. Walking, down the beaten path, she was going home. Home? Her home she knew when she was growing up.... the home her mother raised her in. She stopped at the front step looking at the sky once more, the beautiful lights of the night stars flickered like dew on a blade of grass.

Staring before she looked back at the door she walked to the porch yet there she stood, unlocking and opening the door she would step into her eyes looking around the walls, the pale paper covering the wood. As she walked into the kitchen eyeing everything. She looked around before finding the old papers and pictures she found. Taking them from the box she had pulled out she stared, the chard paper... the corners, browned but yet safe from the faces being destroyed. She muttered, "If only you knew mother...." She turned and went to the door her mothers room was at. Opening the room she went in looking for anything that meant something to her. Only thing left from her mothers keepsakes, was her own gun... the holster made of dark leather, but the gun, instead of clean, was spattered in her own mothers blood.

She took that and a pack of matches and the small scarf and book with a star and what looked to be a wave stitched into the fabric and cover, with her before heading back down to the main room. Out the front door she placed the items before entering the house once more. She went to the kitchen finding a old bottle of whiskey and threw the bottle at the floor with a loud shatter she stood.

Staring at the alcohol soaked floor she took out three matches. Striking them on the box at once she dropped it right in the puddle backing up as the flames burst up and started to spread.

She kept watching, she remembered her mothers death... the fire, the pain she went through. The smell of chard skin, fabrics and wood. She could not forget it. The corners of her lips twitched until she smiled, before turning from the spreading flames and heading outside. Picking up the items as she stood back. Watching as the fire slowly filled the house with smoke. Her birth home, was to become nothing more then ash. She stood, tears welling up as she stood with a smile. She wanted to cry.... why? Why was this pleasing her? Did it please her mother? What was wrong with her mothers daughter?

As she stood as the night went on. The fire climbed through the house, burning long and hot as the sky filled with smoke. Trees visible from the flames light she watched, the silence was pleasing. The fire, she knew her mother was watching her, but she wondered what her mother thought of her. It was nothing to her, her home, her feelings. Were they even real? Her life was it hers? She had no answer yet for herself.

She turned, scooping up the scarf, book and gun she walked down the path, her home slowly becoming nothing but ruins. She walked closing her eyes and letting out a small sigh as her smile faded to a frown. She was happy but yet... felt so empty. She made her way through the grass, to the lake she used to visit at the park not far from her house. Avoiding the fact any late night strollers were watching the smoke wondering what was happening. She made it to a bench, staring at the water, reflecting the moon and stars, but,.... the stars were gone from the water it seemed. Looking up, she saw the stars but the smoke had blocked them from the waters view.

Vezux had just came from his family meeting, when he looked up and say smoke, from the direction for secra's home. Not knowing what think of such incidents, he started up his normal speed, praying to the stars she was alright, he needed to get to her and maybe check in on her more often, he probably should have just brought her with him.

As he got closer, he could smell the wood of the house burning, he could hear the crackle of the wood being burned, as he ran, he became nothign more than blur, he wore his normal attire, because well, he prefered such attire, it kept him comfortable, and it made him feel like he was wack at his old home...from along time ago.

As he finaly stood before the house secra was burning down, he put his mouth mask over his mouth, watching the place burn, he sighed, trying to figure out what she was doing, he had to save her, she needed him, and she was his, just as he was hers, he couldn't leave her alone, not while she was going through such a problem...and such pain, for her to burn down a home, that he had helped her rebuild, it meant she was making a statement, and she needed him now more than ever.

As he watched the fire raged on, he could see secra moving around, walking towards somewhere, he dipped down, quietly, and quickly picking up her trail, seein here walking in the tall grass, wondering what she was even doing doing, or what was even on her mind, she had been going through a lot, and he wondered if the though of her mother still popped into her head every now and again, he sighed, as he noticed she walking towards the grass, he saw the gun, her mother used to own, he raised a brow, shaking his head, he stepped out and started to match her pace, walking along side her.

"Secra...what in gods name are you doing with this...and you mother's house?...what have you done?" He said, as he gently grabbed her hand, remving her fingers from the gun, so she wouldn't do anything stupid.

As he gently took the gun from her hands, he then put it in his jacket, pocketing it, keeping it from her eyesight, incase she wanted to do something stupid, he sighed, as he then stepped infront of her, now facing her, trying to at aleast her get attention, he knew if he didn't something worse could happen, or she could do worse.

"Secra...hey...everything is going to be alright...I promise." He said, as he started to getnly pull her into her hug, thinking maybe it might do her some good, if he hugged her, and gave her some love.

Secra stayed still listening to Vezux speak, standing up with the book and scarf on the bench she held the holstered gun. Staring at the sky, she was just not wanting to think about anything more. Staring at the water, when he took the gun her attention snapped back to him, looking at the location the gun was placed.

She stared at him as he moved in front and blocking her view she looked dead at him not wanting to speak as she stayed silent. She felt herself being pulled into a hug, closing her eyes after a few minutes. She thought of the flames she had watched grow and eat away at the house. The smoke thick, she sighed and opened her eyes. raising her hands she softly hugged back, but now her tears fell. She made no sound, smiling small as she kept her head against him hiding her face in his shirt.

What was she, why was she doing these things, how long until she stopped the path she had chose? Those were the questions she could not answer, for now she had Vezux, keeping her still and not letting her do anything else that may cause trouble. "Vezzy.... I had to..." She whispered.

He sighed, as she finally gave in, hugging him back, could hear her breathing, as she would finally hug him back, wrapping her arms around him, feeling her teasrs finally soak into his shirt, staining it, he held her to him, as if he couldn't let her go, he kind of pulled her to the ground with him, as he sat down with her, feeling a small smile playing around her lips.

As a small smile appearinf on her lips, he felt her cheeks kind of going up, he held her tightly, to his chest, "Secra.. I am sorry...I am here...I wont leave you.." He said, softly, as he wondered if she was even crying, but the tears was her only proof, for hi to know she was cryin, he sighed.
