The Dean this is your life Started by: Underdog on Nov 12, '10 20:10

The venue for tonight was The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, the casino owned by Underdog, it had been decked out especially for the occasion because it wasn't very often that someone made it to this age. Standing from his seat next to TheDean he turned around to address the people

First and foremost I would like to thank you all for coming to this special day for my boss. I know it is a massive risk having so many of the mob in one place at the same time, however I have scouts on every street corner to alert us in the feds try and raid us, cars are ready to take the major players out this place every possible thing to ensure your safety has been done. I have even taken the gun off that crazy scotsman.

Now on to the subject of the day, TheDean, my boss, my mentor and my friend.

Today is his one year anniversary and this party is to celebrate his life in this thing of ours, after me there will be a variety of friends, associates and crew leaders telling you all a little ditty about their experiences with TheDean so let me begin.

My father served TheDean before falling victim to a dodgy gun, my family line encountered him walking the streets in to be honest a bit of a state. A major war had been fought yet again it was the second in as many weeks and TheDean was clearly a tired man. All he could heard mumbling was El_Nino, El_Nino, El_Nino, someone find me El_Nino. My dad spoke to him, and asked him if he was ok, bought him a drink in a local bar. It was the beginning of a friendship which resulted in my dad becoming his right hand.

As I said Dad died to a gun malfunction and TheDean asked me to take over, what can I say its been a blast. From catching Caveman wandering around New York drunk and in a ladies thong, to catching Barnie in the bosses office naked from the waist down holding a cuddly toy.

Now I would like to take this opportunity to introduce a man who has known TheDean since the beginning when they were in the previous New York Godfathers family. I introduce the Godfather of Chicago Roman.

Roman stood from his seat and shook hands with Underdog as the Right Hand for the city of New York sat down.

TheDean and I have known each other as long as I can remember. From his start in New York to his current reign in that city I have witnessed him grow through our ranks as a mafioso, and also as a person and leader. At times our paths crossed just briefly, and then there were other times our paths ran alongside each other for a great deal of time. However, at no time have we ever waivered in our friendship and as I live on through the ages, it is that relationship that I will look back on my own life with as being one that I regard with the highest degree of affection.

When we started in New York we both followed the lead of Deimne. TheDean quickly ascended into becoming a leader under Deimne and established himself as a strong backbone to New York and its people. During this time we had some nice easygoing conversations, after all I was a Wise Guy and he was a captain to SpaceMountain, things were great. Little did we know that several months down the road everything would change.

When July came, there was a country-wide shake-up as Deimne fell from power and SpaceMountain, Gwarble, and TheDean assumed control of the cities as their Godfathers. I found my way to becoming the Right Hand Man to my dear friend Colin and parted with all I had known from New York. My stint would be short-lived as war came suddenly and Colin fell from this life as a Godfather. I became the Godfather of Chicago, and as I tried to collect myself from the loss that had struck our world, I was comforted by a familiar face in TheDean.

I think it was around that moment we knew that to bring this place back to the top, we would need to be a unified force and rely on the friendship we had developed so heavily over the years. TheDean and I have known each other for a year now, but our families' bloodlines run back to the beginning of it all. Each generation's bond grows greater than the last, and I'm proud to stand by him today with all the fine folks from New York and the surrounding cities to celebrate this incredible milestone.

The work we've put in has been endless and taxing, but we've kept on with our mission to repopulate our cities and make everyone who works hard successful once more. We finally accomplished that, my friend, and I can't think of anyone better to celebrate that with on what couldn't be a more special day.

Congratulations, Godfather Dean, you are a testament to hard work and dedication, and your journey for the last year has proved it many times over.

Roman straightens out his suit, takes a seat and awaits for Whatsername to take her turn.

Whatsername stands and walks to centre stage. She smiles brightly and begins talking about TheDean.

Fortunately for me, I have known TheDean all my life. I was born into New York crime and remember how generous TheDean has always been. When I was a young girl he used to bring me lollipops. It seemed like he always had one in his coat pocket ready to hand me the minute I walked into the room. As I got older and was now able to join in this thing of ours, TheDean was there, giving me a place to call home. He helped me tremendously and I know I would not be here if it was not for the patience and generosity my Godfather showed me during these early times of my life as a Mafiosi. Finally TheDean decided it was time for me to go out on my own. Since the time I have set up my family, an extension of his own, TheDean has always looked out for the best interests of New York.

Not every day has been sunshine and roses but I can honestly say the majority of them have been. There have been disagreements but they have been short lived thankfully. TheDean is quite easy to please, one love letter and he spoils me like he did with the lollipops years ago. Nowadays I don't get as much candy but he still brings a smile to my face none-the-less.

Congratulations TheDean! I know you have worked hard to see this day come and I am very happy I could be here to enjoy it with you.

I have also brought an old friend with me who wanted to say a few words.

Whatsername nodded to the gentleman sitting to her left who arose and began to speak. Whatsername and the man both went back to their seat and had a toast to the Godfather of New York. Whatsername then speaks once more

The next person to congratulate our Godfather will be TheSmilingAssassin, please welcome him to the stage.

Ladies and Gentlemen..
What an honourable and exciting day it is, if TheDean had told me this time last year that he would be a Godfather of this fine city, I think I would have laughed and called him deluded..in a nice way of course.
What a year it has been, TheDean was just a Thug when my father, Frankie_Gogolak was here, they got on well, Frankie's uncle, also known as Frankie_Gogolak, was under TheDean's fathers family, MickeyRourke, that's where our family lines first met, December 14th 1932 (2008), before the unfortunate fate of gun malfunctions which took his life and the family was then passed down to former RHM, Hypno.

I suppose I should really thank Caveman for the honour of knowing TheDean, it's because of him that my family came of of retirement and decided to give this thing of ours another go, having previously told me that his good friend was being given the honour of running their own family in Detroit and wanted my father there..or something along those lines, he could have said he didn't want us there, but I heard what I wanted to hear.

From Don MickeyRourke, to Godfather TheDean, to being one of the very few mobsters who have made it this long, I must say, I am so very proud right now I could cry, but I won't, not in public anyway, TheCryingAssassin doesn't quite have the same fear in it.

I have many favourite moments with TheDean, some of which will remain undisclosed, but I suppose one the top 5 is lone night a little while ago, we were talking about absolutely nothing, just a random conversation that went on for hours and every other sentence that came out of TheDean's mouth had me "lmao" ..it was a good night, failed to get up in the morning for work, but there you go, sometimes a sacrifice is needed to have a good laugh.

I am so very happy for you, sir, many congratulations and may this 1 year turn into 2,3,4 and maybe more.

*Raises his glass and gives three cheers*

New York, BABY!!!

the middle aged wise guy steps up to the soapbox and look out at the people there.

Without the privilage of working directly for TheDean, I can't speak to well about him. But haveing survived a purge, and one that, knowing the facts, I could not disagree with, I was given shelter by one of the men that TheDean gave authorization to.

Since finding myslef in the wonderful city of New York, i have seen the firm but steady and gentle hand of this wonderful man on the reigns in everything he does. This city runs in near perfect harmony with itself and, from what I've seen, with the other cities.

And so, with hopes for the second year, I'd like to say My own humble congratulations to the best Godfather I've ever had the plesure to work for.

Godfather TheDean, My best wishes, and may the years to come bring you even more success.

Though we've never formally met, I've also been rather impressed with TheDean's achievements. Several of my ancestors have passed on stories to me of his feats, and, by and large, he seems to outshine many of the others of whom I've heard.

The man is a doer. Plain and simple. He managed to assist in taking out one of the strongest city heads in recent history, then to jump in the driver seat, take on the reigns, and become the next rising city head of whom that can be said.

Bravo, Godfather TheDean, for your cunning, resourcefulness, and fortitude during your long career. Best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors.

From the first day I came to work for you, you always had an excellent open door policy. Any time I had a question, concern, or just the need to vent, you where there to help. You made sure I had the tools I needed to succeed, and you made sure I succeeded. During my time working for you, I learned alot. I thought I knew it all, then you showed me the otherside of things and I'm forever greatful. TheDean, I'm proud to call you a friend, a mentor, and a ally. Happy Birthday sir, it is a most joyous occassion today.

Enjoying a good drink or two and hearing TheSmilingAssassin's speech, Grim decides to step up the courage to say a few words..

It's unfortunate on my behalf that I haven't personally introduced myself to the fine man, who is the Godfather of New York, but I have indeed heard great stories from my leader about what a great man you truly are in and outside of business.
I have always respected you as a leader and Godfather, you have done great things with New York, you have built us more loyal than ever thought possible, you have the up-most respect of many people around these fine cities and you sir, you deserve a celebration to remember.

You make me proud to call myself property of New York and I wish you many years of happiness and success with this fine city and everyone around it, you are what made us who we are today, TheSmilingAssassin always says that you are the reason he has become so successful in this thing of ours and I must agree, you are truly a New York soldier through and through.

Many congratulations sir.

Tony sits in a chair across the street from TheDean's headquarters in lovely New York City.. flicking a lighter in his hand.. watching the flames come and go as he waits for the right time

The large steel door to the Godfathers HQ open, out rushing multiple bodyguards into the street.. Tony approaches TheDean

My friend, my leader, my Godfather it has been a long road from where you are at and where you were in the start.. I mean any of these young thugs walking the streets would mirror an image of yourself at a young age, but with dedication and the help of some close friends and business partners, along with some bloody days for everyone you have made it to the top.

Tony shakes the hand of his Godfather.. noticing a long precession of mobsters and city members in the street to congratulate TheDean on his year anniverysary.

After sharing some drinks and laughs with Some of the other's Cherokee felt compelled to speak a little bit about his own experiences and relationship with TheDean

As most people know, just like many many others, I got my start in this life in New York. After the war with Deimne, things were in chaos for me. I was young and had no idea where to go. I had heard only good things about TheDean so I decided to try my luck in The Big Apple. It wasn't long before I found myself working as Joey_Cesari's Right Hand. It was in this role that I really got to know TheDean. Not only did I come to find out that he was a great person, I quickly found someone that I knew that I would be willing to give my life for.

Cherokee pauses to take a sip of his whiskey.

I have now been in St. Louis for some time now, and even though I do not work for him any longer my friendship with TheDean has grown even stronger than before. Our bloodlines go back a great deal of time, and although I never worked with him, he has always been a man who I have had the utmost respect for. TheDean has helped to lead our way of life in a direction that few ever have, and he can now add another accomplishment to his already massively long list. So from The Tribe and the city of St. Louis, I say Congratulations.

Cherokee lifts his glass in a toast and takes a long sip

Today is your day friend, Enjoy it.

Standing up and grabbing his drink Bruiser shakes friends hands as he makes his way over to the man of the hour. Once Bruiser reaches TheDean he reaches out and shakes his and and hugs TheDean with one arm will patting him one the back creating the first ever "Bro Hug".

Godfather TheDean, I wish I could say our bloodlines went back generations or that I have had the privilege of working along side you, or even that "I knew you when", but unfortunately I've not had that pleasure. It's truly an incredible milestone you have accomplished here. Not only in your long and successful life but the stability and peace you and Godfather Roman have established. Each of us one way or another owe you a debt to some extinct. I wish you all the best and I look forward to a long continuance working relationship. Enjoy your day sir.

"To some extent", excuse me, Bruiser says before sitting down.

(Totally fucked the top post ^^)

Kimble strolls into the New York street in his best suit and a smile. He was a bit late, but nothing considered unfashionable. This was an historic day for his STFU brother, and he wasn't going to miss it no matter what the misses said about taking the kids to the fucking park. This would be like missing his own fathers birthday, and that isn't going to happen. Family is everything.

TheDean, firstly I would like to congratulate you on this awesome achievement that you have done. Very few leaders could have come up the way you did and survived this long. You are a true testament to our day and age. You are one of the few that I call a comrade at arms and the only one that I would serve under. People say that leader come and go. This is true, except in the case of TheDean.

He has shown his unique brand of tradition and fairness that not many have been able to equal. I put you right up there with the greats such as Godfather Deimne and Godmother Marietta. You truly help set the standard for Godfathers after you even after our New York will be gone. We have been friends a long time man. We have faced countless wars together, faces the toughest obstacles in rebuilding New York after the devastating events of the Deimne war, and then after Jim_Levenstein and co came after us with everything they had. But we survived, you survived to build an empire in which the likes of this place rarely sees. A true testament to leadership you are.

TheDean, again happy birthday. I hope we are all around this time next year to celebrate it again no matter how unlikely that sounds. I truly call you my boss, my comrade, and more importantly one of my greatest friends among our world. STFU brother.
