The Block To Vegas Started by: Flexx-Mitchell on Nov 13, '18 08:14

Flexx was out on his hustle. Hitting his businesses and connects, as well as corners as well. He was with his guard Taga. Taga had just got out after a long stretch in the joint, and was ready to get back to work. Flexx had things in the works and a move was much needed. He was going to need to move base operations into another city and expand and grow. With all the activity recently going on, Flexx made his way into the new city with haste, but also with his head on a swivel. It would have to come out of nowhere for most of the crew, but everything is going to fold out nicely once the dust settles. Flexx was good for setting up a small function to jump things off, and he would hope that the family would arrive and make themselves at home just as they were in Detroit. Nothing wrong with a move to start fresh, get a spark going. Flexx landed with his guard Taga and was met by one of his guards that had came out earlier to scout the area and get the new HQ set up started. Flexx had been here before and was already suited for the moment. Business was always a jumpoff out here in this city and Flexx was ready for the challenge. Flexx had sent a kite with a carrier to alert his right hand. TwoB would be surprised but open for the opportunity. Flexx and Taga are met by a cab pre scheduled, and driven over to the Strip. The city was always a site and a vision to remember. As dusk arrives you can see all the lights in the city illuminate. Flexx reaches into his breast pocket and pulls out a blunt and lights it as he and Taga relax on the ride into the Strip. Flexx could roll in with a few of his guards and set it up. Everything will fall into place once everything is situation. The pull up to the HQ on the strip. An estates that took half of the block. A few guards already holding the location down was at the gate to check and open it. They instruct the driver to drop Flexx at the back entrance and continue on his way. As Flexx and Taga exited the vehicle with their few bags and enter the location. You could see a world of opportunity. Flexx had plans and was set on putting things in motion.

“Hey grab one of those rooms, get comfortable, and meet me down at the lounge in a few hours. Hopefully Twob and a few others would have arrived by then. Let’s get settled.”

Flexx says as he heads up to his office/apartment to settle himself in. The location was already loaded with a bar and lounge with a kitchen and dining area, so the breaking ground started here, Flexx had a list of things to get moving.

The bottle was almost empty and John was feeling a bit tipsy when one of his men came into the Saloon. Scanning the room for a moment before spotting John and then heading over. As the man approached John he hunched over to whisper something to John so that no lawman in the Saloon could overhear....

"Las Vegas is being handled by Flexx-Mitchell moving forward." The man then made his way to the bar to get a drink using a bit of cash John gave him for the news.

This was interesting and exciting news indeed. John knew Flexx somewhat well and his right hand Marcella had even been allowed to move over to help out his operation. That was something he was extremely thankful for. So he decided he would go get his horse, grab Marcella and they would ride on over to the airport to take a trip to visit and congratulate Flexx on his new move.

Some time later...

The taxi cab pulled up to the address that John had received from a friend. John still wasn't too used to the whole idea of motorized vehicles, but he couldn't fly his horse on over to Las Vegas. They went on up the steps and knocked on the door.

A man answered and they informed him of who they were and their business at the property and he allowed them in. Following close behind them, they were guided to where Flexx was at the moment. Although he knew Flexx would be busy and probably not have too much time for him, it was still worth the trip out there.

"Howdy Flexx, I see you've got yourself a nice operation going out here. I'm glad to see you rebuilding Las Vegas and getting an opportunity for more growth. It's always good to see quick action by the city heads in regards to refilling cities. Rebuilding can always be tough and exciting at the same time. If you ever need anything while you're out in Seattle then make no hesitation to come see me. I'd always be glad to buy ya a drink at the Saloon." He smiled and shook Flexx's hand.

"Oh I almost forgot, this is for you." John pulled out a box of cigars, "I know you're used to everything from Detroit and the central United States. These were made down south near the Mexico border. Although nothing beats a Cuban cigar, these come pretty damn close."

Joe wasn't always the best with timing things right. Sometimes he was late, mostly, he was late. Word finally reached him of the hustler himself taking the new position in Las Vegas, one held by another close friend, Uncle Joe Ligambi. Joe Adonis didn't use that term lightly. In this business you got a quick grasp of who you could slap that label on. And whether that relationship changed due to the nature of the beast, it was comforting to call someone outside the immediate family and organization a confidant. Some viewed friends as simply any made member into the life of crime. Joe liked the simpler take on it, someone you could trust and depend in or out of a pinch.

Not yet due for a trip to Vegas, Adonis instead sent a gift to the new Godfather, in similar fashion to when Uncle Joe received the same position. This time, it wasn't a shiny and expensive, rare pocket watch piece. It was a kilo of Midas Touch cocaine. If Adonis knew anything about Mitchell, it was that money spoke louder than anything else. And this, a key business opportunity, would be the perfect gift.

The key of coke was set in a gold bar. Well, that's what it looked like. A bar of gold, purposefully presented that way to show that what was being bought and sold wasn't your average weight being pushed. The product was tinkered with by a formula created by Le Strega herself and had been given the gold standard approval by the Midas operation. The product was, to their knowledge, superior to any on the street currently. And without a real need to undercut the competition, it would be sold at a better price also.

Three men were tasked with delivering the sample product to Flexx-Mitchell. Joe watched from his office in the operations tower as their flight from Philadelphia Municipal Airport took to the skies. Godspeed.
