A Surprise Meeting Started by: Ju_St_Ice on Nov 19, '18 15:17

It had been a long week. Between collecting debts, intimidating witnesses, and running the day to day businesses, Justice had had little time to himself. The stress had started to take its toll. His shoulders ached, his fists swollen. Each cut and graze was a story in and of it's own. Gone were the days when Justice was merely an errand boy, trying to make his name heard in the world. Despite this, he still liked to get his hands dirty now and then. Who didn't? He smiled to himself whilst massaging his hands. That eased the pain a little, if only momentarily. Sighing to himself, Justice pulled out a tin, opening it to retrieve a cigarette. Placing it to his lips, he lit it and inhaled sharply.

Walking down the familiar streets of Corktown, he noticed all the usual people doing their usual things. Mum's taking care of their children, Dad's returning from work. Bums begging for scraps, whilst well dressed mobsters walked past, oblivious to their plight. Corktown was a melting pot, different people from different backgrounds, congregating in one area. Justice liked this, it meant he could learn from others and use it to further his own family's enterprises. Los Guerreros had made a name for themselves in this town, and with Assunto having recently become Godfather, Justice owed it to him to expand their revenues and keep the family's good name intact.

Turning the corner onto the main street, Justice instantly noticed the increase in volume. The place was bustling, with people from all over the country. He recognised mobsters from Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, Detroit and Chicago. Philly were ever present. Walking past a newsboy, Justice grabbed a paper and gave him a dollar. There were weird reports of monster turkeys having appeared over the weekend. Scary stuff.

He'd arranged to meet someone here in the streets, but for the life of him could not remember who. Something about a new business opportunity. Justice loved money and the life it afforded him, so if he had to chance to make more, he would take it. He decided to post himself up on the corner, slowly working his way through the paper, page by page. Whoever was to turn up would notice him and make themselves known.

Suddenly, a cold object was pressed against Justices back. He knew a gun when he felt one. A man grabbed his shoulder, and putting his head next to Justices, whispered "Now if you want to live, you're gonna do everything I say. You got that?". Justice nodded slowly, not wanting to startle the man into ending his life early. He was directed to walk towards the alley to the westside. There was another man waiting there, who grabbed Justice by the arm. They strong armed him into a building just off the alley. Sitting Justice at a table, they then left the room.

The room was dimly lit, a single candle providing the only source of light. It was sparsely furnished, just the table, two chairs and a bookcase, which seemed to have forgotten its original purpose, as it now only contained cobwebs. Justice could smell the dust in the air. This place wasn't visited frequently. Why was he brought here? Who wanted him? Would he leave here alive? As these questions raced through his head, Justice heard the door behind him open. Someone slowly walked into the room their boots sending a thundering reverb into the air with every step. As Justice turned to look who had entered, something crashed over the back of his head. And then, only darkness.

The dull thud of his blood pumping through his ears woke him. Slowly moving his head, a sharp pain shot through his temple. "Fucking hell" he thought "that hurt". His eyes were still blurry, and it took him a second to take in his surroundings again. This time he was in a normal family looking room. Portraits adorned the walls, breaking the pattern of the god awful wall paper. A few lamps around the room provided ample light. He was sat on a sofa, arms tied in front of him. Across from him, face shrouded in darkness, sat a figure in a high backed armchair. Looking them up and down, Justice swore he recognised their demeanor. The way they sat and held themselves seemed ever familiar.

"So...I'm guessing you're a little confused honey"

Fuck. Not her. Anyone but her.

The captor leant forward, the darkness dropping from her face. Justice couldn't help but smile. She was gorgeous, wide bright blue eyes, full red lips and a figure to die for. For how good she looked on the outside, it was a shame that she was a tyrant.

"Molly, what is going on here?" Justice asked, whilst holding his bound hands in the air.

"Well a little birdie told me that you're doing quite well for yourself now. And all those years ago you promised you'd take care of me. And now? Not a single letter or phone call."

Back when he had first started his life of crime, Justice had invested in a local brothel. Molly had been his best earner, and lover. There was something about her that lit a spark within him. No matter how hard he tried to stifle it, it always came back.

"Look, if its cash you need I can sort that out" he said, trying to appease her. "but please just untie me".

She slowly stood up, making her way over to Justice. She had a natural rhythm to her body, her hips swaying. Molly placed herself on Justices lap, and began to untie his hands.

Once they were free he grabbed her waist. Her lips met his and a passionate embrace began. All of a sudden, the door flew open, and a glint appeared in front of a shadow in the door way. A gun. The figure moved forward into the room. He recognised his long time ally, HA_SHTAG.

"Hash!" Justice said in astonishment "what are you doing here?"
