New player, was told to say hi so this is me saying hiiiii. My family has been nice and helping me out but other suggestions would be nice. Lots of reading involved to understand the game so anything helps !

Oh, ya. There is definitely alot reading involved when it comes to being a new player. Tutorials and whatnot. But the best way to understand the game, in my opinion, is to just focus on one thing at a time.

We all have to start somewhere, don't we? 

Since you're a new player, I suggest familiarizing yourself first with the petty, felony, and OC crimes. The basic ways to get cash. And while you're clicking away with those, jailing plays a major role in increasing your drug units. So bust a lot of people out as well. I don't want to write a whole tutorial in this reply, but that's basically how I would go about trying to understand the game. Take it slow.

Lastly, this is a roleplaying based game. If not wholly, then partly - because I know that's not all the game has to offer. Have you checked out the forums yet? If you ever get to thinking about immersing yourself in the world of roleplay, there are plenty of people I'm sure who would be happy to write with you. 

Sorry if I'm not being much help. I'm not entirely sure of what you know and don't know already about the basics of the game. I've been playing for a while and somehow I learn something everyday.
