In a recent street thread titled Power Couples, Ronin made an off hand comment about my character's female anatomy. Nikolai decided to reply to the thread. He didn't reply to the thread's topic - relationships and the power and team work that may come with them. No, the ONLY thing dear Nikolai replied to was the off hand comment about my character's female anatomy. 

Nikolai's reply to the thread:

Hearing that a special vote had been called for by the Upper's, Nikolai boarded a private flight to New York.  A few hours later and weary from a flight followed by a long cab ride to Odin's HQ, he walked through the large doors and could hear his foot steps echo as he entered the grand hall.  All along the corridor were pictures of great hero's, both past and present.

Then he spotted a portrait that he found so alluring that he could not take his eyes from it.  For what seemed like an eternity within the Norse God's HQ's, he continued to ponder the question:  Is Aloisus's ample bosom real or fake?  He had heard legends of it's ability to charm the monster's of the Nine Realms, but he still was not sure.

Then he snapped out of his trance, finally breaking the charm that her portrait held over him and thought WHY AM I HERE AGAIN?

Remember kids, eat your breakfast and don't be a gross creeper. Women have boobs. Men have penises. 

Don't completely ignore the topic of the thread to write a lengthy reply about a woman's boobs, a woman you don't even know. It's disgusting.

Your character's whaaat? But hey, it was all RP. He was just following with the first post. No need to make a thread about it tbh. If you want to be mad about it be mad at the first comment describing YoUr cHaRacTer's "ample bosom" 

I have conflicted feelings about this. 

But honestly, Aloisus, the character’s thought processes, emotions and actions do not and shouldn’t reflect the writer. Obviously hints of people’s personality will shine through. But that was just some roleplay. Maybe that’s just how his character is? A creepy pervert? (Sorry Nikolai. You know I adore you).

Anyways, the point is - don’t take the things said in roleplay and make it affect you on a personal level. This is just a bit too much now, is it? Putting this in a thread? I can see your point though. Objectifying women is not the way to go. I’m sure Nikolai will try to undersrand though since this could be a lesson learnt for the future. 

You could also reply back to him? Turn the tables. Get revenge. Cut his balls off.

To be fair, I hadn't even read the comment you were referencing until you made this big poster sign pointing to it. So then I went and read it. Yea, it seems like a strange comment from Nik..but with all the spam happening in the streets in this era, it would have disappeared forever in just a few short hours.

Roleplay is exactly that, taking on a role of someone else and portraying their character or their emotions. I'm literally roleplaying a mobster climbing up the family, I sell drugs, I'm running prostitute rings as someone rightly said above and I'm quite literally roleplaying killing people. I haven't gotten involved in the street RP scene just yet because I'm still working up where and what I want to get involved in however a person portraying his characters shouldn't be attacked because of the roleplay, that's what we're here to do on the street section, is roleplay.

He shouldn't have been attacked so publicly by yourself is what I believe; a PM would've most likely been better seeing as you have taken offence from his comment even though we're here to portray mobsters.

My two cents on the matter. 

Nice to have women also in game and we must all protect them since they are more worth than all men in here.

Second wave feminism (the one I find most people tend to think of when they hear the term) didn't kick off until the 1960s so if I'm being honest, from a role-playing point of view (on a roleplaying game, I know, whodafunk it), he was actually a heck of alot more courteous than I expect most 1930s gangsters were to women.

If anything he should probably be getting publically shamed for being too nice and inaccurate with the way he went about it.

Saying that though I personally think that either a role play response from yourself advising your characters disproval or at the very least a PM to him to advise of the same would have been more appropriate.
