Adebayor, You are very correct in that statement, all that we say are nothing but words and words carry messages based on opinions and interpretations of facts. On the flip side however, I always hold that the way your words are seen and understood by the public, are in someways even more important than the actual meanings and intentions behind them. I shall not claim to be speaking for the masses when I say what I say, but its a perception and I for one, care greatly about the perception and reception of the statements that I put forward. Putting a spin on facts or even putting forward a mask on the facts to make them easier to accept might drive the message better than facts that even if they are true, leave a sour taste in the eyes of your listeners. Words ARE everything. |
