Arrival in the Windy City Started by: Silvio_Canicatti on Dec 02, '18 16:18

For Silvio, the knock on his door in the early morning of November 10th was enough to make his stomach turn for the next week. His brother from Chicago, Louie Canicatti, had been clipped in his sleep. Louie was a Captain for a boss operating out of South Side known as Paul Klint, but in the New York Times, it looked like a massacre in Chicago. The man came with an envelope with $15,000, and a letter from Louie.

My dear brother Silvio, if you are reading this, it means that I have befallen a terrible fate, although you probably already know this news. I informed my lawyer while writing my final will that you receive this envelope containing enough money to get you on your feet. Silvio, you're smart like me and I know you can make this cash multiply. Use it, and do me and our family proud.

From, Louie Canicatti, Esquire

Silvio decided he needed to go to Chicago, he needed to find answers on what happened to his brother. He needs to go and continue the Canicatti legacy. He wasn't sure what he would say to his old lady, and instead, during the late night of November 30th, he left her a note.

Dearest Marta,

Marta, you know I'm going through a rough time because of my brother right now. I have decided that I need to go to Chicago, Illinois, and I need to go looking for answers. I didn't know how to say this to you, Marta. I am so sorry, and I just hope that when I come back for Christmas to visit you, that you still love me.

Silvio's lip quivered a bit as he wrote to his lover. He didn't want to leave like this out of the blue but he didn't know how to confront anybody about it. The entire situation was too disturbing to him. All he knew is that he needed to go to Chicago, and he needed to rebuild what his brother did. He counted out $10,000 cash out of Louie's envelope, and slipped it underneath the note to Marta.

*Ding!*

Next stop, Chicago Greyhound Terminal.

Silvio stepped off the bus and received his bag from the driver, and here he was. The Windy City, with no contacts, $5,000, and a simple objective. Find out what happened to my brother, and rebuild his legacy. This was step number one.
