"I'm sorry to tell you, Charlie Pavanno, former Business Owner of the Casinos, Tops, and Ultra-Luxe is dead. Charlie was regarded as an innocent man, one of the few businessmen that were said to never hold a grudge against anyone, he understood, it was apart of the business. Ladies and Gentlemen, Charlie was stated to have no children and his companies-" Audible sounds of anger had come as the radio was smashed to bits, a young boy, who could be no older than 15, his Father had been gunned down, all the while, he was here. Being protected for his own safety, did it matter that his Mother had run away? Did it matter that he was nothing more than a stain on the legacy of Charlie Pavanno? He could not guess, all he knew was that his Father was dead and it remained up to him. Was he going to lead the family legacy? His only name, Mael. His only hope, no one. He had no one and that left him with no hope, all he had was the determination to prove that his family, his flesh and blood was remembered on these streets. He would never forget those that his Father's people had mentioned, those who could help him with his problem and find him some work, and he knew where he could start. "Santino, my Father's adopted son, the one that had replaced me and gave him something I could not. The true love of a Son, let us see where you are now, brother." With this, Mael walked out of his home, heading to the place where he knew he could find Santino, the place where it all ended for the young DiCaprio. The Pavanno Compound, Mael had entered his car with an impassive look adorning his childlike features. He shrugged, knowing that this was going to be involving him something deeper that his Father would not want, but that would not be possible. He had too, it called to him, it lusted for him. "Your Manuscripts helped Father, they gave me the right choice in life, they gave me the direction I needed in certain directions and now? They will help me find out what happened to you, how you died and who pulled the trigger, you were supposed to be protected, safe, and come home. Only that did not happen." Mael was talking with no one, his hands clutched his steering wheel with such tightness that his knuckles were turning an alarming white. He had taken some deep breaths, knowing that becoming angry towards the dead would not do him any favors. Especially his Father, instead, he started the car and started to drive at a leisurely speed, knowing that Santino DiCaprio was not going anywhere. "You better have some answers, Santino, my Father trusted you and that means, you must know something. You have to know something..." |

Pavanno Family Compound -South Philly Servants, Maids, and bodyguards are seen running around frantically, wanting to obviously pack up and leave, but to where? That was anyone's guess, among them was Sonny DiCaprio, watching them with puffy eyes, obviously, he had been crying, not wanting to believe what everyone had told him, that the great man that was Charlie Pavanno had perished in the war. Now? He was being ordered by Alphonse Varietta, telling him to get everything that he needed, they were leaving the states, apparently. Only he did not want to do that, he was Charlie's adopted son, he had just been beginning to find the family that he wanted, now? It was ripped away from him, he did not think to contact Isabella-Luciano, knowing that she would be dealing with her own grief, he was going to handle this on his own. Knowing that he would be protected by these people, only then, he heard the familiar sound of a car's tires coming to a hasty stop, the screech of the tires made him cover his ears with his eyes closed as if he had swallowed something sour. It was then that he looked at the person who was walking to the compound with such determination that it was like watching Charlie walking back home once more, he had stopped himself, knowing that he could not be seeing the man right now. He had rushed out of the door, colliding with the very man that seemed to be needing him for something by the way he looked at him. Only Alphonse had stepped outside, eying the man with a glare, before his eyes widened for a short amount of time, also noticing the same features on this boy as Sonny had noticed before, only then, the boy had spoken with such a cold tone that it sent shivers down their spines, it was only then that they knew this boy was not here for friendship. "Are you Sonny DiCaprio?" Sonny nodded mutely, not having any reason, knowing that he could not speak in front of such a man that radiated such coldness, it was almost breathtaking and not in the good sense, it was one that spoke of certain death. "Then I believe that we have much to discuss." No one had said anything, no one could say anything, all that remained were three people that each held a piece of Charlie within them. Neither of them knew and it would be better to keep it that way, but, would the secrets remain hidden? Only time would tell. |

Standing at a window with a smirk on his face was Alphonse Varietta, his eyes, distant and a smoke lazily in-between his fingers. He kept looking ahead towards the trees that lay on the land that was owned by Charlie, which would now go towards Santino and Cassie, who were his adopted family. Only Alphonse had heard something impossible, something that would have had the boy killed in certain circles and he was only fifteen years of age, Al shook his head, a bitter chuckle escaping him. "You're telling me that Charlie had an affair? Charlie? Pavanno? We are speaking of the same man, right?" He could not believe it, his mentor and best friend had an affair? The man was not known to partake in the occasional whore or even frequent the Black Horse in South Philly, he was a man of grace and yet, he had an affair? That did not seem like the Charlie he knew and had to question it, wondering if the boy had gotten the correct information, yet, it was the boy's eyes. They were a sea-foam green, almost magical in quality, obviously the mixture of Charlie's Grey eyes and another woman of green eyes, yet he could that be? He did not know of any woman like that, well, he did. Only she had died, didn't she? Al once again shook his head, noticing that the kid had spoken to him, while he had been mulling his thoughts over, wondering what to do with this new kid on the block. "You want me to what!? This ain't no rodeo kid! These guys are killers, the worst sort of people and I, am one of them! Your Father would not want this for-" Al was stopped when Mael had raised his hand, stopping his questions from going any further, not wanting to hear anymore on his Father, as Mael had noticed that this man seemed to be the propaganda manager behind the 'Charlie Pavanno, good guy,' campaign and that was something that he did not want to hear, he had read his Father's manuscripts and knew what he had done. "Them. He would not want this for them, he did not care for me or know me. Charlie Pavanno may be the good guy in everybody else's eyes, but he had left me for whom? The people that would now ransack his home and run with their tails between their legs, I am not them, nor will I be controlled by you." Mael walked forward with slow steps, he brushed a hand over his well-done hair, he looked a bit older if one looked at him differently, but he was still a teenager, something that Al did not forget, trying to cow the boy into Submission, but that would not work as the boy looked at him with nothing but a smirk and a light in his eyes that one would not mistake, it was cunning, it was smarts, it was all Charlie. "No - You will not be speaking Al, I want the location of either JackWaltz, AlexanderKnight, or GavinAndTaraByrne. They are the ones that I can trust with this, or do you know something regarding my Father's untimely death." Mael would pretend not to notice how Al had shifted under his gaze, but he continued to 'mindlessly' play with the buttons on his shirt, looking at the Right-Hand of The Tops Casino with a slight smile, trying to ease him into informing him, to which it worked like a charm as Mael heard the tale of how his Father was 'murdered in war.' "Tara Byrne will not be able to help you in this matter, neither will Alexander Knight, the only one that can truly help you is Jack Waltz, there was an F.B.I Agent, he was supposed to investigate, find out what he could, well, your Father had just done a sweep of his businesses and the agent John Whitmore had shot your Father with an M1977 Pistol, our guys were not ready and your Father died in South Philly in this war, that's all we know." Mael nodded mutely before leaving the compound with staggering steps, he had to find Jack Waltz, he had to get help in finding this fucker of an Agent and putting a bullet in his head, he would never be safe if that agent was around, he could not live a full life if that Agent was around, it was time to put a stop to him. |

Jack had just returned from a short stay back in his hometown of Las Vegas a few hours ago. When the shooting started, he had been directed to leave town for his own safety. Jack visited with his wife for a short while, waiting for the bulk of the war to blow over. He was standing in front of the window of his apartment, looking over the city. The ambiance of the Philly was so much different from what he had grown up with in Las Vegas, he soaked it up every chance that he got to. The paper still sat on the dining room table. The headline was Charlie's death, with a gruesome picture on the front page. It angered him that he was unable to prevent this death. Putting on his shoulder holster, he slid his .38 revolver into the pocket of the holster and then slipped his suit jacket over his shoulders. "Let's see if that agent has the balls to show his face around town." Jack said to himself. He decided that today he was going to take the stairs. Something about the elevator had made him nervous as he walked by it. Once he was down to the ground floor and walked out of the lobby, he began walking towards the known hangout spot for the police officers in this district of the city. He may not be a normal cop, but Jack was sure that he would be hanging out with them until he was requested to leave town. While he walked down the street, he kept his head low. He was unsure how many people would be able to recognize his association with Charlie, but it was better safe than sorry. The brim of his cap was low over his eyes, and before long he could see the top of the hotel attached to The Tops Casino. Jack knew he was getting closer to his destination. He wasn't sure what he would do when he got there, but his blood boiled at the thought of running into his target. |

Walking the streets, Mael found himself looking at the man himself, he narrowed his eyes, knowing this man to be a former associate of the Race St. Company: Tops. JackWaltz, walked down the street and Mael rushed to head him off, knowing that this man could help him find the corrupt cop that had murdered his Father. "Jack Waltz! Jack-" Mael was cut off as his supply of air was suddenly gone, he looked up, noticing an agent of the F.B.I, suddenly, he was pushed to the ground as kicks and stomps on his face was soon to be rained down upon him. He caught the flash of this man's face, already noticing that this man was the officer had killed his father. "Lookie here, we got a little bastard, tell your Father hello for me!" Mael could only groan as he felt the bruises already forming, knowing that he was either going to end up in the hospital or in a ditch somewhere, listed a gangland death, either way, he had no intention of dying. Although the kicks and stomps had already stopped, it seemed the corrupt bastard of an officer had decided to walk away, leaving him to lick his wounds... |

Jack heard a faint call of his name coming from down the street. As he turned to look he saw a struggle taking place, a man being dragged into an alleyway. Jack started to walk to the alley at a brisk pace. Once he got to the alley, all he saw was the man laying on the ground and the shadow of someone walking away. Jack leaned down to Mael, keeping his gun in its holster under his left arm. "What happened here? Who dragged you back here? You the one the called for me?" Jack asked, "How do you know my name?" Jack didn't realize how quickly he was asking these questions, not leaving enough time for an answer before he started asking another question. It was a cause of the chaos going around the city in the aftermath of a war. He wasn't sure who he would be able to trust now that everyone he knew was gone or was refusing to associate with him in Philly. Jack help the man off the ground and back up to his feet. "Are you ok?" |

"You ask more questions for a man of your position Jack Waltz, one would think that you work for the police. Only your state of stress and the gun that is only viewable to me proves differently." Mael used his wit, knowing that humor was the only way that he could win in such a situation. He sighed, bringing his hand across his cheek and winced as he felt the sharp sting of pain shooting throughout his face, proving that the bastard of an agent had possibly left him with a few cuts and bruises. "Well, it seems that Agent John Whitmore wanted to finish off my family line, the one that killed my Father and well, your boss, Charlie Pavanno. I heard that you were one of the close friends of his, or so he spoke, I don't know if the Mob Boss ever spoke of such friendship with you." Mael used his dull tone once more, looking off, into the streets and noticed the passing people, many of them, legitimate people, who worked their asses off and here he was, talking with a man like Jack Waltz. A man that is known for bribing judges and getting some protection money that would be held back for his Father, this man? Well, perhaps he was a good guy, but he could not know and would possibly never find out. "I'm good, just a few cuts and bruises, nothing life-threatening, but with that agent lurking around the corners now, I don't think I will be safe for very long. He needs to be stopped before anything else happens to me or your organization, a man like that, well, I can only assume is not best for business. " He groaned as he was helped up by the former associate of Tops and leaned against the wall for support, knowing that in these times, he would need all the help he would get and his leg was already starting to hurt him, due to the beatdown that was given by the cruel and vicious, John Whitmore. |

Jack looked around, wondering if he should take off to chase after the agent or not. It was a decision that was tearing him up, because the only reason that he was still here was to take care of the agent in the first place. After seeing how busy the street was now, Jack decided to let the agent go for now. Jack knew that the agent wouldn't keep his head down much longer. These federal types always wanted to take credit for the damage that they have done. "We'll get to him, don't worry about that. He's my last bit of business before I leave this city," Jack told Mael, "I was a friend of your old man. The last thing he asked me to do was to take care of this agent, he was causing trouble for our business. We had people disappear because of this guy, we're not letting him take any more men down with him. He apparently recognizes who you are. That's not a good thing for you. You may want to skip town, you might want to go after him, but he's going down, whether you help out with it or not." Jack pulled out a cigarette from his pack. Damn, he thought, he was down to his last smoke. Lighting it up, he leaned against the wall and stayed in view of the street. Now that they were on alert, it was highly unlikely that the agent would show his face so quickly. Jack decided that they would have to find him before he found them. Jack knew where to take him once they got him, but had to make sure that Mael was up for the work. "I'm going to find this guy. Is this something that you want in on?" Jack asked. |

"You're leaving the city, where? This man killed my father, I have nowhere else to go, I heard of some other people, names, places, but they were abandoned. The only people besides you that were said to be said were Nikita and Itachi Uchiha, I've tried getting in contact, but nothing so far." Mael breathed, playing the orphan act, he hoped that Jack did not catch on, knowing that he did not have a true relationship with his father or his father's family. He hoped that would change, but for now? He would avenge his Father with Jack and see where his life had led him now, knowing that it could lead down many paths that would provide him with three things, two of which, were not options. "I'm not skipping town either, not until this fucker is in the ground, is that understood!? He tried to kill me if you didn't show up, he also killed my father. Once more, I am not leaving until this guy is six feet in the ground with a bullet between his eyes." Mael growled out, pushing himself off the wall with a limp in his step, but he shrugged it off, knowing that he would easily be fine in a few days or so. He was not going to be putting off finding this bastard, just so his leg would heal, he knew that he would be okay in the long run. "Of course I want in on it, but may I ask? Once we're done here, I need to find Nikita, I believe she can help me. Can you do that? Set up a meeting between the two of us?" |

"I'm headed West, out to Pasadena. I gotta make a stop in Vegas first, but I'm headed for Pasadena." Jack explained, "I can help set up a meeting between you and Nikita, but I can't guarantee that she can do anything for you. Your dad helped me out, figure I owe it to him to help you out. I had a tip about where this guy was headed, he may be there, he may not. We're just going to have to stake out the place for a while." Jack adjusted his suit jacket and began to walk down the alley. They were well within walking distance of the police hangout, so on they would be going to find a good spot to watch the front door. With the sun beginning to set in the city, it would be much easier to hide out as they cased the joint. "Once we finish this guy off, fly into Las Angeles. I'll help you get to the airport, and you can stop by my place anytime, but we're going to want to split up on our way out of town. Fed turns up dead and his buddies will start popping around trying to find out who did it. Not a lot of people know who you are, it should be a clean getaway for you." Jack explained. Jack lowered the brim of his hat, keeping his identity hidden from anyone glancing at them from in the street or down the alleyway. The last thing he needed was for someone else to recognize who he was. |

"May I ask, what's in Vegas for you? I thought you were a Philly Native?" Mael asked as he placed a hand in his pocket, before wrapping the other around his stomach, clutching it in pain, knowing that he would have to see a doctor after this. He looked beside him, noticing that the mobster had kept an eye out, looking to see if there were any undesirables that had continued to roam the streets. Mael had started to lag behind, his leg starting to act up with sharp pains, he hissed, not wanting to draw any attention onto himself, knowing that Jack would be able to hear him. He had covered it up with a small cough, continuing to walk ahead, not wanting to stop the man that had helped gain some kind of revenge on the officer. "And the meeting with Nikita, that would be most pleasant, I am told that she was the last person to speak with my father. Although I do doubt that she had ever been informed of me, my father did not discuss his business arrangements or anything regarding what came because of it, something that I should not be discussing right now." He gained a tint of red to his cheeks, not due to embarrassment, but anger. He had allowed himself a moment of weakness, something he would make sure would never happen again. He looked ahead, clearing his head of any thoughts regarding Charlie Pavanno, knowing that he had to be focused regarding this delicate mission. "You'd think that, wouldn't you? Not many people know of me, that is true, only my father has made some enemies and now they have transferred to me. It is the curse of being his spawn, a shame, nothing more than a burden, anyway, let us go on with this." Following his lead, he ducked his head, the same thought passed through his head, his father had made enemies and now? They would pass to him and he would not be needing that. He was not going to end up like his father, he would end up better, a legend. |

"My wife is in Vegas. I grew up there. I only came to Philly to work for your father. I only got to see my wife for a couple of days before I had to head back to Philly because of this whole war." Jack told him as they walked. Jack was careful to not hurry his pace up beyond his wounded ally. As they reached the watching point to where they could see the door of the hangout, Jack pulled up a chair by the window. With no cigarettes left, he knew it could be a long night ahead of them. There was a lot of movement on the street, but for now, no activity at the building they were focused in on. "If these enemies are following you, or have any idea where you've been hanging out, the best thing that you can do is to head out of town like we talked about." Jack removed his hat and took off his suit jacket before sitting down by the window. With a deck of cards in his pocket, he began shuffling them in his hand. It was hard to tell how long they would have to wait before they would see the agent show up. |

Mael watched Jack, his eyes holding a tiny amount of amusement, when he pulled out a deck of cards, causing him to wonder if the man had dabbled in gambling. Considering that he had once worked for an organization called Tops, he did not doubt it. He looked around, noticing a few beat cops, but nothing that would alert him to the presence of the federal officer. "You're married and working in this kind of life? To do what? Provide for her? If it is that course of action then I can do nothing but praise you, my father had obviously chosen well for those that worked under him." He stated with the blank look that always came up when regarding his father, he never seemed to notice that his lips had lifted into a smile, almost subconsciously proud that his father had chosen such a man to work under him. He looked across the street, noticing that a couple feds were hanging around a car, seemingly talking about work, one of them seemed to be looking at Jack for a while, before turning his head with a curious look on his face. "I'll be heading out of town once this situation is wrapped up, there is nothing else in Philadelphia for me, Mr. Waltz." He sighed, leaning back, soon though, the sun started to set and the sky began to darken, the evening sky starting to come to life. Mael started to notice that the group of feds had left their temporary hangout spot, one of them kept lingering, obviously watching them, only then his cheeks had gotten red from anger, clearly, he had noticed Mael, only he was angry for some reason and ran inside the station. "What was that about?" Mael had thought out loud, looking to Jack with an arched eyebrow, clearly, he was curious about what had just occurred, not connecting the dots. |

Jack carefully watched the agents that had been brought to his attention by Mael. He believed that if these men had shown up, it was much more likely that the man they were looking for was around, possibly trying to find the right time to leave. He set down the cards and stood up by the window. A smiled flashed over his face quickly. "My wife is a saint, but tough as nails. I watched my father toil away in a factory, working twelve hour days until he couldn't hardly walk. I couldn't see myself going down that path to barely provide for my wife, so I went looking for a different life. Your father found me, I pulled some jobs and he heard about it, called me into his office one day. Next thing I knew, I was setting up a plan for my wife and on the next plane to Philly." Jack pulled out his gun, out of view from the window, making sure that he had it fully loaded. On a rare occasion, he may walk around with one empty slot in the cylinder, but he was taking no chances today. "Get ready to move soon. I think he's going to be trying to make his way out of here. We're going to have to move fairly fast, unless he come out on his own and we can isolate him." |

"Why don't we just blast his ass now? He's obviously scrambling, knowing that we're here for him." Mael noticed a couple beat cops had driven out of the police garage, before pulling up to the Fed's Location, it was clear that the man had made a call, getting a couple of guys to drive him out of here. He sighed, looking to Jack with an arched eyebrow, his eyes holding a bit of curiosity, wondering what Waltz was going to do in a situation like this one. "What are we going to do? He knows that we can't take him out like this and he has a guard around him, either those fuckers die with him, or we can do this another day, me? I am voting for the former, this fucker dies today." Mael had continued to stare down the cop car that was a couple feet away from then, just across the road and he noticed that the Fed had exited the station, clearly glaring at them, thinking that he had stopped their plans of getting revenge. He entered the car, before it just sat there, clearly watching them, thinking that they had some form of transportation. "You got a car? Cause if so, I'm shooting, and yes, I know how to shoot. I may be young, but I've been trained, or should I drive and you shoot. Either way, this fucker and his guard are going to die." Clearly, the young teenager was pissed off about this guy getting an escort, the dirty fed was trying to ride off into the sunset and wait to kill them later on, either way, he knew that this man was going to die. |

Jack kept watch on the car that had pulled out of the garage. He knew that his gun would be able to get through the steel, but without knowing what Mael was carrying, he was unsure if he would be able to pull it off if there wasn't a clear shot through the windows. "You want to take him down today? then let's hurry. I've got a loaner car until I get out of here. They're going to get hit with that stoplight down there. Everyone does. The light doesn't stay green for long, we should have plenty of time to get right by him." Jack ran down the stairs and started up the car. He could see the agent from his car, and pulled his .38 revolver from his jacket, setting it on the seat, but not removing it from his hand. It was only a matter of time before they would need to take their shot. "This ends today. Nobody else is going to suffer because of this fed." |

Mael rushed after Jack, his eyes widening at the way he was running, thinking that this man was trying out for the Olympics, knowing that he was only rushing to get to the car, but damn, he was only 15, he could not keep up with a fully-grown man, while he was barely hitting his peak. He had seen Jack rushing down the stairs, never once missing a step, the same could not be said for him as he had tripped and bumped into a banister but kept upright enough that he was able to keep Jack in his line of sight. "Oh bloody hell, if I'm injured any more than before, I am going to be needing a fucking hospital for christ's sake!" Mael had gotten into the driver's seat, looking at Jack with a raised eyebrow, noticing the tight grip that he held on the gun, almost like he was making sure that he himself did not fire the gun, perhaps not trusting a fifteen-year-old teen to remain calm and not have some kind of nightmares regarding this crooked agent. Mael shook his head, starting the car and looking over at his supervisor at this point in time. "You know, holding that gun any tighter might just make it bend, I am not going to reach for the gun unless you are unable to fire, than I shall take the shot, anyway, let us get a move on, he's already pulling up to the traffic light. Make sure that blasted thing is loaded, otherwise, we are going to be the one filled with bullets..." He drove off down the road, matching the speed of the car in front of him, which just happened to be the one that was occupied by the Federal Agent. He smiled, thanking whatever gods that were blessing him currently, he looked ahead, noticing the slow-moving traffic, he looked to Mr. Waltz with a smirk. "Make sure you're ready, we're about to make the papers." |

"Either cover your ears or take your shot, kid." Jack said. The line of cars pulled up to the light and very quickly everyone came to a stop. Jack opened the door, stepping out the car with his gun by his side. The wood grip was tight in his hand, but he was able to hide it from most of the people on the street being able to see it. The agent was in the back seat of the car, just one spot ahead of them to the left. Jack stopped behind the car, able to see the fed through the back window. Raising up his gun, he pointed to the back of his head. Nobody in the car had noticed him, too focused on when the light would change again. The first shot rang out over the street, sending mass panic among the civilians on each side of the road. Shot after shot rang out, some cars pulling through the red light, risking the chance that they would be hit in the intersection by oncoming traffic. Jack refused to turn his back on the car as he walked back towards the car. He didn't stop firing on the car, just continued each time the driver and passenger thought that the bullets might have stopped firing. "Never should have came to Philadelphia. Your family will know how corrupt you were." |

As Jack had started to open fire, everything was in slow motion for him, everything had started to change, the sounds of screaming and feet rushing away from the scene had all but become a distant echo. He reached into the compartment, pulling it back with a creak, as he squinted, the sound of the compartment clearly making his ears uncomfortable. He reached inside, noticing a .38 Revolver, he sighed, shaking his head but he gripped the cold gun and rushed out of the car. He walked slowly towards the car of the crooked federal officer, he looked at the man, noticing a couple of Jack's bullets had in-fact penetrated the windows and killed the driver and the police officer who sat in the passenger side seat, only this little cockroach had remained alive, clearly clinging onto life, wanting to make sure that he made these bastards pay, Mael shook his head, before aiming the gun at the man, looking him in the eye. "Shoot the gun kid, become a killer, like your old man." Mael's hand had started to spasm, clearly uncomfortable with wanting to take a human life. His forehead starting to turn an alarming shade of red, as his teeth started to grit, knowing that he had to take the shot. Only he heard the words of the Federal Officer, the mocking tone before the man had started to choke on his own blood, falling back in his seat, he still breathed, but it was clear, he would not be surviving long enough for help to arrive. Mael looked to Jack, his head bowed, not looking the man in the eye, but handing him the gun all the same. "You do it, make sure this bastard is dead and nothing more, make sure that he breathes no longer. I-I Just can't do it." Mael dashed back into the car, not even sitting in the driver's seat, but in the back, knowing that he could not look Jack or anyone else in the eye. He just wanted to get out of here and head to LA, he placed his head in his hands, releasing a shaky breath before a single tear went down his cheek. He whispered softly to no one in particular. "I'm sorry Pop..." |

Jack pulled the trigger one last time as he got into the car. It hit the Fed right by the heart, taking him out of this world and pushing him down to the floor of the back seat. Pulling his hat back down low, he made sure not to make eye contact with anyone still nearby on the street. He put his gun back into the shoulder holster, trying to remain calm in the madness that had taken over the street. "Don't worry about it, Mael, it'll be alright. You're a young guy, taking this guy out, it would have taken a lot out of you. Don't sweat it." Jack told him. "Just keep the car headed for the airport. You did good. That Fed knew who you were, now he knows why he's dead." As they continued to the airport, Jack heard the police sirens heading for the intersection. The airport was busy, swarming with taxi cabs and other people who were preparing to head out on their vacations, or back from their trips into Philly. They abandoned the car in the parking lot, walking towards the terminal. "Look me up once you get into Pasadena. I should be there in a couple days. Take care of yourself, don't let anyone on this plane or in LA try to throw their weight around on you." |
