Come one come all! It’s a great event, a chance to have some fun and make some money. I, Rico, am now holding a football pool. What is this football pool you ask? Is it a pool filled with footballs? For what insane reason would you fill a pool with footballs? Well ladies and gents it is NOT a pool filled with footballs, let me explain.

A football pool is a 10 by 10 grid and consists of 100 boxes. The way this works is the top side and left side represent a team. For each team there are numbers 0-9, one number in each of the 10 boxes. Those numbers represent a score of the game at the end of a quarter. Let me give you an example. For this example Baltimore will be the top and Pittsburgh will be the left. Let’s say you have box 17 and the numbers that have been chosen for that box are Pittsburgh 3 and Baltimore 0. If at the end of the first period the score is Pittsburgh 3 Baltimore 0. Congrats! You win the prize for the first quarter since those are the numbers you had. Now what happens if there are double digits? If this happens we simple use the last digit. For instance if at the end of quarter 2 the score is Pittsburgh 23 Baltimore 20 you win again! In my pools there are always a winner for 1st 2nd 3rd 4th quarters as well as one for the Final incase the game goes to overtime. If the game ends at the 4th quarter you win both the 4th quarter prize, as well as the final prize.

Let’s get down with how to bet. Originally this was only going to be for the Super Bowl game. However, I have chosen to do a few preliminary games to gain some interest and to get people acquainted with how this works. The Super Bowl game will be $100,000 a box. All other games will be $25,000 a box. You are allowed to buy as many boxes as you wish. I am also allowed to participate since I will be having somebody completely unrelated to MR choose the numbers. I am also not collecting any sort of money except whatever I may win. This means for the super bowl game each quarter and the final will be worth $2million and for all other games I chose to make this pool for the prizes will be $500,000 a quarter.

So in order to choose a box there is a spreadsheet. There is only one box per person so it is based off of first come first serve. If I receive a 2 mails requesting the same box the first person to choose that box gets it and the second will be given the option of any available box. If there are no other boxes your money will be refunded and I apologize in advance if this happens.

So send me a mob mail with the numbers of the boxes you want and the correct sum of money for those boxes and once the numbers are drawn I will send you your numbers for that game. Prizes will be sent out once the game is officially finished.

The first game I will be doing this for is the Pittsburgh @ Baltimore game on Sunday December 5th at 8:20pm (EST). The spreadsheet can be found here. Please send in your bets.

All betting will end at 00:00 EST the day of the game. So for this first game betting will end on December 5th at 00:00 (12:00am) (EST).
