Seattle’s alcohol market was slowly becoming more and more powerful, mostly due to WilliamWalker and The Walker Brand. There were still a few unauthorized sales going on, but Colt made sure to crack down on those as soon as he got wind of them. Recently, a large band of hooligans had tried to take over the market in Seattle, but the whole city had fought back valiantly. They were making a name for themselves and they were starting to be feared across the country. And Colt had other plans in mind, to expand their grip. He told his bodyguard Chu to go grab the Ballard Don for him and let him know he wanted to speak with him.
While he was waiting, he put on his favorite Duke Ellington record and poured two glasses of Walker Brand whiskey. Just as he finished filling up the second glass, his friend William walked. He smiled at him, offered him a glass of whiskey and invited him to sit down. He wasn’t sure if it was going to be a long talk or not.
Hope you’re doing well man! The brand is looking really good, we’ve got a solid grip on the local market now. The way we dealt with the crew that tried to take over a few days scared off most of the people who aren’t paying up. Cheers to that! he started off, lifting his glass and taking a sip. That had me thinking thought, there still are a couple of these guys out there. That got me thinking of a way to get rid of them once and for all, or at least most of them. What would you think of moving your HQ in Pioneer and open up another Walker Brand store here? We would keep the one in Ballard running, and having a bigger one in a more central area will scare away the competition. All we will have to do is concentrate on smuggling and maybe expand our market. What do you say? |

William arrived fashionably late, as it had been his mark for a while now. Coltrane's office always had this relaxed atmosphere to it while he imagined, would probably be a very practical space to work in. It was only sparsely decorated, but enough to set up a good mood without being over-incumbent. There was also a very detailed painting of this running cheetah behind the Godfather's desk, that he always enjoyed revisiting. He sat back on his chair, while listening to Colt's proposal and then back at the painting while his friend waited for an answer. This was not a proposition he could take on lightly, Marston had been essential to his growth in this career and he appreciated that he could work so closely to him. Ballard had also been the neighborhood of his criminal youth while he joined this family, but this move would definitely open up alot of ideas for him seeing that the central district always had that extra breathing space for business to flow naturally. He scratched his chin and looked at Coltrane who was just patiently looking at him go back and forth inside his head. "There are some ideas running through my head, that would probably see themselves better to be implemented in Pioneer. And I guess you've already talked with John and Marcella about this as well?" |

Colt watched the man bouncing thoughts inside his mind. He knew his friend was attached to Ballard, as it was his home district and he was a very close to the acting godfather, JohnMarston. Colt had also come to know his friend William was a very smart and thoughtful man. He made sure to evalute the pros and cons out every situation, before making any kind of decision that would come back at him.
I have! They've assured me that they would keep the running the Walker Brand store running as well, and I think they mentionned a statue in your honor? |

Will chuckled at the statue joke. "Alright then, I'll get my own ready for this move. I'm sure they'll be ecstatic to know." |

Robert had been rushing around all day. His office was on Pioneer Square, but he had a lot of stuff in a storeroom on the Ballard HQ. He was a bit bummed about leaving that beautiful building permanently, so he postponed the whole ordeal until it was really time to move. He had rented a small truck to pack his file cabinets, tightly locked. He had also recruited jackie to help him with the heavy lifting. The man was exquisite, but reliable. Robert truly enjoyed his company. As they were packing the exchanged few words. The job was tough, no breath to spare. Robert quickly realized how wrong he was to be bothered by the moving - Coltrane really outdid himself with the new building he made available to The Walker Brand. It was possibly the most beautiful building he had ever seen - right near his own HQ. Robert was delighted to be able to visit the Godfather whenever he pleased - his advice was invaluable to his job. The man had seen a lot more than Robert - and he had seen some shit. At the new building, the job was quickly done. WilliamWalker had a lot of muscle aiding with the set up and things got placed with little to no effort on Robert's part. Coltrane was there was well - having a drink with The Walker Brand's boss in the main office. Robert made sure to go upstairs to join them as soon as his precious files were safe inside a secure room. "Now this is a wonderful place to do business in. My congratulations to you both, on the outstanding job you did." he raised a glass and proposed a toast on the success of the move and subsequent expansion of the Walker Brand's reach. |
