National News"Zooming to the Top" "Los Angeles Gains a Speedfather Chairmen" The west coast saw some growth today as the previously named 'Don' Zoom took out the reigning Godfather in order to take on the position of Godfather Chairmen of the city. This is a position that not many are able to reach during their life of crime and it is an impressive feat. Zoom has come incredibly far from his rise through the ranks of the Philadelphia Mob to now hold the reigns of his own city on the opposite coast. I'm sure that those who know the man well are quite proud to see him achieve this rank. Last issue of the Outlaw Gazette we had quite a nice interview after sitting down with Zoom for a short time. Make sure to check out The Outlaw Gazette: Issue 2 if you wish to check out that interview. Now, what Zoom has done with the city of Los Angeles has been great after taking on such a difficult task. His job is far from over, but this newspaper congratulates him on the job he has done so far. They still have plenty of rebuilding to do and that will take time, we saw a very big first step towards the finished product though with his ascension to Godfather Chairmen. Zoom's rise also led to the authorized set up of ralph_lombino in Downtown, Los Angeles. This mafioso has been around these shores for much longer than probably anyone who is taking in air at the moment. Mr. Lombino has set up 'Los Angeles Shipping Consolidated' which has become a branch of the Pocket Meats Incorporated group. The launch of this new business is another small step towards a fully rebuilt City of Angels. The west coast has been my home for quite a while now and I am happy to see it's rebuild continue. The mafia underworld needs to have a strong hold on the East, Central, and Western cities of America if it wants to survive. Hopefully this is just the first of many stories cataloging the growth of the West Coast moving forward. The Outlaw Gazette is a paper for the people, but will always have a soft spot for the West Coast that we call home. Soon enough we will see the strength of organized crime return to a normal level as Godfathers rise and crews are set up across the country. Author JohnMarston
"Distributing Districts" "The Criminal Underworld Must Grow..." The cities of Seattle, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas have seen some great opportunities land at their feet recently as business ventures saw some success. There was a secondary attack by rogue criminal elements in these cities and once they were removed, there was only opportunity left behind. These cities now have interesting new business opportunities in the form of a third district in their city in which they may now operate in. These new districts are not only a new opportunity, but also a challenge for each of these cities to face as they continue to build up their operations in an attempt to successfully expand there. These districts are known as Waterfront, Hollywood, and Paradise respectively. I'm sure I am not alone in imagining the future that these districts could hold for the criminal underworld. Waterfront district is full or shipping opportunities with strong control over the port and warehouses found there. I know that in the coming weeks my beautiful city of Seattle will happily set up operations there in order to continue building the city. Hollywood clearly has many things that will allow for plenty of money to be earned whether it's the movie business, new storefronts, protection money from actors, or the strong drug scene that is hidden underneath the top layers of that beautiful district. I know that I'll be a bit jealous of the person who gets to take over the reigns of the district with it's sunny weather and that lucrative movie business. Paradise over in Las Vegas is just going to be another expansion of the already lucrative businesses that exist in the City of Sin. Whether they invest in more casinos, businesses, residential developments, or whatever else the mind can come up with. Although there was already plenty of rebuilding to be done across the nation, the findings of what we were missing out on in the Waterfront District made us quite excited for the future. I'm sure that the other city heads of Las Vegas and Los Angeles feel quite the same as Coltrane and Seattle about their own cities. Even if it is a challenge to fill, it will also be exciting to see if they can take that challenge head on in order to find success at the end of that journey. Author JohnMarston Page 1 |

The Morris Poetry Corner
Will of the Wisp Would I deserve you at any era? How powerless are my sails
Because I can’t fathom your touch Should I write all night? God, I love you harshly
Ocean Oceanic blues play around me The breeze betrays my soul Poet RobertMorris
"Short Story" "Rushing River" There isn't much left in these rooms as more days pass me by and the past gets further from my reach. It's hard to fathom reality from memory when I pass by areas that used to be filled with so much more than dust and darkness. How could things have changed this much in just one year? Emptiness can always be filled by something, it just depends on the person when it comes to what eventually takes that role. Change can be good and it can be bad, but what really matters is how you deal with what comes after. There would be choices to be made in the time after your departure from my life. I cannot really describe the emotions that were developed during the months of your absence as they shifted like the tides. Things came and went just as the objects that were swept ashore or dragged out to sea. Your loss cannot be the end of me as well, although it cannot be the beginning of me either. It is just one stepping stone across a large river that is always trying to knock me from my current place as it did to you. Friends and family will always try their best to fit a square peg into a circular hole when it comes to the healing process of hurt that only time can give you the treatment for. That's what I would need and there was no guarantee of a successful treatment, just the hope of a full recovery. For most full recovery would never come, leaving the wounds to open over and over. This was not something to view as a failure in regards to containing emotion, just part of the river attempting to knock you from your stable position on those stepping stones. The best thing is to brace for it and push forward once the brunt force of those emotions weakens. Sometimes you may find somebody else on the stones just ahead of you that will reach out and help you steady yourself. These people may not always be there to help keep you out of those rushing waters, but be thankful when they are. These are the things that I've learned during the time you've been away and I won't ever forget them. I'll keep pushing forward from one stone to the next and sometimes I'll be the one turning around to help keep people from falling into that river. Thank you... The man stood up from the grave where he was having a silent conversation with himself and somebody who was no longer there. He wiped some dirt from the grave stone and smiled as he placed his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "Miss you Dad. Rest in peace." He made the sign of the cross and began to make his way out of the graveyard. Author JohnMarston Page 2 |

"Riveting Speeches from Ronin" "Pushing for more than the minimal." Lately the streets have been alive with debate and discussion with the speeches brought to the people by Don Ronin out of Manhattan. His topics have been differentiated in regards to their focus and what sort of responses they have received. The latest topic to be brought to the streets was that of the past concept of a Godfather Council. Prior to that we saw topics such as 'Why do our standards keep falling?' and 'Power Couples'. We also heard some good discussion points brought up by Ronin during the topic of Loyalty brought to the streets by Zeitgeist. These topics have brought up great discussion and in some cases heated arguments that still brought well structured points to the streets. Although some topics can end up being recycled over time, it is always good to come back to them after a while in order to see where we are. This helps us know if we have evolved or if we need to possibly make our way back to how something was done. It also can sometimes light the spark for others to bring their own discussions to the streets. While I cannot say that I agree with every single thing that has been said in these speeches or during the discussions that followed, I find it refreshing to see people discussing as well as disagreeing over important topics. Too often we see arguments over whether or not the streets have gotten too quiet or gone 'dead' which in some ways can be seen as ironic. I think that if we are to argue over something in the streets in the view of the masses that it should be something a bit more important. Unfortunately I have not made the time to join the discussions myself besides the discussion on loyalty thus far. I hope to make the time to join them more with the completion of this issue of the Outlaw Gazette. Luckily I can use this newspaper to share some of my thoughts on the topics at hand. Before I get to that though, I have a special 'mini-interview' with Don Ronin in regards to his recent street presence and what we can expect for the future.
There you have it folks, a few words from Ronin himself in regards to what he is trying to accomplish in the streets with his well crafted words moving forward. You cannot ask for much else from a leader in this thing of ours than what he has done when you're looking at 'street presence'. There have been plenty of leaders over the years that never touch the streets in hopes of starting up a conversation or bringing light to a topic, so Ronin is clearly making sure that his run does not follow in their footsteps. At this point he has caused others to come out and share their opinions or ideas based upon his topics, but maybe we will finally see more people inspired to start their own discussions with the streets. So, following all that I'll share just some brief thoughts or points from my perspective when it comes to the topics of a 'Godfather Council' as well as the topic of 'Why do our standards keep falling?'. Now I hope that nobody reads too far into what I may say as I won't be going too deeply into my own thoughts on the subject here. I'd rather add to the conversation in person with people on the street who are currently discussing it with Ronin and others. There are some pros and some cons when it comes to a Godfather Council that I think I will put into list form below. Pros Helps keep standards high Brings organization on a large scale Could help bring change at a faster pace Avoid Stagnation and Promote Activity A place to share ideas and have well structured discussions Cons If everyone is too like-minded it could cause a large majority to not be represented It could cause more issues if people cannot agree "High/Acceptable Standards" can be very different to each leader which leads to disputes People tend to want their "sovereignty" Now these are very short lists and could be expanded upon quite a bit as I stated earlier. I want to avoid going too deep into this subject here in my own paper when I could bring my thoughts to the streets themselves in person instead. Another thing is that some of these pros and cons could be shifted to the other list depending on how you view this life. There is plenty that can be discussed in regards to this topic moving forward. As for the idea of 'Standards' I think that they can be highly impacted by a thing like the Godfather Council. They're also hard to define since so many people have a different idea of what high standards would include. Again, I think this topic is so deep and can be discussed at such length that I'll leave you with all my previous thoughts and statements before I take time to go to the streets and talk with people in person. I am quite interested to see where these topics go and what sort of impact they may have on the mafia world across the nation. Author JohnMarston Page 4 |

The local coffee shop seemed like a nice enough location to meet up with acting Godfather Chairmen HandsomeRob for this issue's interview. He had paid the owner to keep it closed for a few hours so that they would avoid any interruptions. Rob was not only handsome, but quite punctual as John's car pulled up to the store at the same time as his. They walked into the coffee shop one after another with just a few of their bodyguards. There was a table at the center of the room that was set up and cleaned up nicely for them to sit at. John sat down and pulled out his notepad, "Evening HandsomeRob, how are you doing today?" Across from him HandsomeRob took a seat and smiled, "I'm doing pretty well. No complaints. Don Rafa was able to take Godfather in the district of Summerlin and he was able to setup a captain. So today has been a good day so far." The man was already a few steps ahead of him as he brought up the ascension of Don Rafa to Godfather in Summerlin. So John being the resourceful and skilled reporter would roll with the punches, "Good to hear everything is going well. So how is the City of Sin doing up to this point? You've had quite the monumental project since taking over the role of acting Godfather Chairmen of the city. The rise of Rafa is something I'm definitely interested in hearing about as we get further into the interview." There was a couple of cups of coffee brought over and placed in front of the pair. John pulled out a flask and added a bit of whiskey to his as he waited for an answer to his question. "It was a hard project to take over to be honest. But Las Vegas is doing well. It has slowed down a bit but after the invasion of the NPCs, we were given another district. While filling it may be challenging because of our numbers, I fully expect the new district of Paradise to flourish." He spoke with a strong sense of confidence. "Aye those NPC's definitely put a toll on everyone across the nation with some sleepless nights and plenty of hard work put in to take them out. I know Seattle understands how you feel." He paused for a moment as he scratched out a couple things and made some marks on his pad, "Actually circling back to the topic of Rafa. How has that relationship been with him? Did you have many interactions with him prior to his coming over to Las Vegas?" He paused for a moment as he gathered his thoughts which seemed to be him making sure he was not forgetting anything, "The hard work was a bit challenging but it was a great way to work together to accomplish a common goal. Especially since we were new to Sin City. Rafa and I had worked a fair bit in New York before I moved to Las Vegas with the late Madeline. While I didn't have many with him directly I knew the people around us were vouching for him, and for me, for him. Working with him has been a pleasure really. We have the same goals and insights. Couldn't have asked for a better person to start fresh with in Las Vegas." John nodded and continued to take notes as he found out more and more about Las Vegas and the man sitting across from him.... "Excellent to hear things are going well. Success can always be easier when you end up working with people who share similar ideas and goals. Now shifting things a bit more towards your very own crew. So how does one impress you enough to join the Handsome SOB's? Is it just purely looks that can get somebody in or do you prefer less competition on that front?" He smirked as he hoped to switch the mood to a bit more fun. "Well I look for talents. I have a diverse crew. The talents I look for are really meant for me to know but to let you in on a few of them, we have a rapper, a wrestler who has special private parts, and a couple jokesters. And while not everyone is handsome or pretty when they first join, we make that a priority once they arrive in our headquarters and I prefer as much competition as I can get on that front. I did just win a handsome contest after all..." John shook his head at himself for not having that bit of information noted on his pad, "Very interesting group you've seemed to bring together so far from that little bit of information you were willing to share. I think the wrestler with special private parts will probably be the talk of the country when the newspaper hits." He paused to take a couple sips of his coffee, "So there is a certain business establishment in Las Vegas that has begun to gain some fame and it's name resembles yours. I'm sure you have an idea of what I'm referring to. How do you feel about this business and have you attended it yourself?" "I'm not sure what'll get more attention more; the RHM with the special penis or the lovely HandjobRob Brothel. To answer your question I am aware of the fine establishment. While I haven't been there myself due to other important matters that are unrelated to hand jobs, I hear the brothel is quite tasteful. The city of New York really know how to keep people entertained." Rob shook his head at the thought of the brothel. John kept his smirk back as he pushed onward with the interview, "Okay okay, we'll move on from the penis talk and back to some more serious business. You have that new district over there known as Paradise that you mentioned earlier. Any plans brewing for what you'll be doing with it? I know that sometimes that information can be sensitive so we here at the Outlaw Gazette understand if you're not able to give us much in that regard." "I just want to throw it out there that if any ladies reading this want to know about JoeyRyan and his penis powers, his mailbox is always open." Rob smiled at his addition and then turned back towards the subject at hand, "Moving onto Paradise, a few ideas have been thrown up in the air between the newly promoted Godfather Rafa and myself. While we have mutually agreed on a plan, I don't care to discuss it just yet. Lets just say I wouldn't expect someone to take the reigns of the district closer to the mandated date put forth by City Hall." The interview was going well and slowly winding down so he figured he'd have at least one more big question before wrapping things up.... "I wouldn't expect much more, but you can't blame a reporter for seeing if he can get some breaking news. Finally, your Right Hand Joey Ryan. How did you come to choose him to aid you on this business venture in Vegas? What can you tell us about him? This question was planned ahead of time and has become somewhat of a staple for my interviews. But perhaps this is where we get to dig a bit deeper in regards to information that was shared earlier in regards to him." John still couldn't believe the scoop he had picked up about Mr. Ryan for his newspaper. "Well we all know Las Vegas was known as the Sin City so choosing him was an easy decision. Not to mention both of our linage have known each other for years. But more importantly I thought about the shows or entertainment he would be able to provide to the city. All kidding aside about the handsome man, there is literally no other person in this world that I'd rather have work beside me." "Well I can certainly understand that with the people I've had beside me during my time here in Seattle in Marcella and William Walker. I think that's all I have for my questions Rob. I'd just like to thank you for taking the time to sit down with me. I'm sure that this will be a hit interview for this issue of the Outlaw Gazette. Can't wait to see the developments that come out of Las Vegas moving forward with that Right Hand of yours, Paradise District, and the city as a whole." John stood up to shake HandsomeRob's hand. "Thank you very much for the opportunity, it was a pleasure." He smiled as they shook and then the notepad went away so they could just chat for a bit without it being on the record. "Obituaries" "Death hasn't been knocking."
The events surrounding the holidays and the month or so prior included plenty of death and the need for obituaries. In the time since we have seen almost no deaths and a period of stability as things continue to progress or grow in each city. This should be something that is celebrated moving forward as people continue to try to fill cities and build their crews. Business may not be booming across the nation, but it is on the rise and that usually means good things for everyone. There isn't much more to say about this subject than what I've already said, but I don't like to leave any article too short. There can always be different ways to look at any situation, topic, etcetera. The periods of peace in our world always come to an end, it will always just be a matter of time and effort by all parties to keep that peace alive. At this point I see many people attempting to keep things stable and even look for ways to improve what is already being done. One strong example is the speeches brought to the streets by Ronin and Zeitgeist as they cause others to openly talk and ponder the way things are and how they could change for the better. So while we have a lacking need for this 'Obituaries' section as of this issue, I think rather than wondering when it will be needed we should be wondering what we can do to keep it from being needed. Make sure that we improve and work together in order to keep conflict to a minimum. Obviously I'm no fool and I do not expect that peace can be kept alive forever or that just because many cities are rebuilding that conflict cannot happen, but I do try to be optimistic. I hope that each and every leader, hand, and member can try their best to add to what is being built in each city across the country and help this peace last. Author JohnMarston
"Growth" "Dons become Godfathers"
Another section that I will most likely keep short and sweet as I know that at this point in the paper your eyes may be getting tired. In the past couple of days we have seen the West Coast growing in more than just the form of authorized crews setting up. I have essentially covered most of this either in articles or interviews, but I don't mind going back over a bit of that information. Los Angeles obviously had the rise of Zoom to Godfather Chairmen, but we also saw the rise of Nikita to Godmother in Pasadena. This was pre-dated by the authorized set up of Aimee in Pasadena who has obviously grown a bit with the incorporation of some members from Nikita's Black Rose Crime Syndicate. In a city not too far away known by it's nickname the City of Sin, we also saw the rise of Rafa to Godfather in Summerlin. With this news also came news that Saitama would be setting up his own crew underneath Rafa in Summerlin district. These two cities still have plenty of work ahead of them with their third districts to take care of. So this growth is promising to the continued success of these two cities. If you have not already, I'd say that everyone should take the time to congratulate these people from Los Angeles and Las Vegas. As I stated in earlier articles, this newspaper and I'm sure plenty of people in this country will be waiting excitedly to see what will happen with those third districts as they are filled and cities continue to progress towards a more finished product. When the time comes the Outlaw Gazette will make sure to be there to cover the news and maybe snag an interview with the people who take the reigns of those districts. Till then, we'll all just have to take guesses of what will happen. Author JohnMarston Page 8 |

Robert was in Philadelphia when he noticed The Outlaw Gazette hanging from a newspaper stand. He swiftly picked up his favourite paper and scrolled through it while walking, almost bumping into a stranger. It had been a good day and Robert wasn't looking to stir up trouble, so he apologized and moved onto the nearest diner. He ordered some coffee before sitting down reading.
He truly enjoyed this paper. It's attentive approach to business was what lead him to find some advertising space on it. He hoped his business could grow along with the newspaper, and he was very happy to see familiar faces on it. After a quick diagonal read through it, he hastily made way into the hotel, where he could finish reading it in peace and quiet. |

Wally was walking down the street when he saw a little stand selling magazines and newspapers on the corner. He walked on over and looked around for a few moments before noticing a newspaper labeled "The Outlaw Gazette: Issue 3" and picked it up. After scanning over the first couple pages the man in the stand yelled at him... "Hey! If you wanna read the whole thing then you need to pay for it you shmuck!" His voice was deep and angry. With a quick blur of motion he was in front of the man with his hand around his throat and the paper still clutched in his other hand. He looked down at the paper and then without even a second thought he let go, grabbed cash from his pocket, put it on the counter, and grabbed the paper before it had fallen more than an inch. "There you are. Keep the change. Let it remind you that sometimes you should think about who it is you're yelling at." He released the man who quickly backed off. As he continued his way down the street he was very amused with the paper and the content of it.... "Hmm. Maybe I'll get into the paper business myself. I need something to help keep me occupied in my down time..." With that thought he zoomed off to the family headquarters to start planning a few things. |
