"Should I go now, or?" Transistor is clearly shoved forward toward the crowd. He always heard there was a soapbox. There wasn't. Transistor begins to speak. The crowd cringes as his voice is inappropriately loud in relation to the ambient volume. The general consensus is that Transistor has massive hearing damage due to the humbling volume of gunshots that had whizzed past him and his colleagues over the past 18 hours. "The time has come to fill the void left by our beloved Old City District support pillars, JaceCorso and HughJorgan! After hours of deliberation while @ConstanceBonacieux and the Java Cartel family heads were protecting their family, cookies, and bacon; the decision was made to give a young lady the position she has proven that she can not only handle, but thrive at!" Transistor squints and looks around. He gazes at the pained crowd in front of him. He extends his pinky finger and rotates it back and forth in his ear canal. "Oh, Jesus. Sorry." The crowds eyes widen, an an audible sigh of relief is expelled skywards. "After a significant gaggle of time in the Java Cartel saddle, she has proven time and time again her ability to handle both ends of the spectrum of our thing of ours. In times of crisis she is strong. In times of celebration she is jovial. She is as knowledgeable and aware as a leader should be, and is the perfect fit to help us regrow the seeds of the Old City District." Transistor clears his throat. "Ladies and gentlemen, MollyMalone will be assisting OCD in our expansion and rebuilding process." |

Molly stepped forward when Transistor had finished screaming at whoever was unfortunate to hear him. A blissful hush came over those gathered as their ears recovered from the assault. Addressing those who hadn't fled, Molly hoped her dulcit Irish tones would soothe the senses. Ladies and gents, you think that was bad? You should hear his singing, I certainly won't miss that! Glancing over at Transistor she gave a cheeky grin and a wink of her bright green eye. Seriously though, it has been a rough night for Philly. So many great lives lost on the whims of some rogues. May God rest their souls. I'd like to thank Transistor for his kind words. Truly an exceptional mobster, who will strive to make Philly great. And ConstanceBonacieux, my love, thank you for having faith in me to take on this role. I will do my very best to serve this great city. I hope you will all join me in a drink and a toast to our fallen. Sláinte. |
