Ideas for when the next city falls Started by: CloudRider on Jan 20, '19 20:43

As yours truly draws a final circle on the paper, marking the ultimate goal, the all-to-common sound of the paperboy hitting the front door with that mornings freshest was evident. The headlines were clear: A norse God and a masterless Samurai were to introduce some cultural diversity and aid in the rebuilding of Seattle after a meteorite, amicably labeled by scientists as NY180119, crashed into the area and levelled the place.

After the crash of ‘29, we all remember the words of President Hoover when he ensured us that perseverance and innovation would bring America to the rise again. But innovation takes planning and considering variables like time, economics, geography and leading emotions. The fact that our country is doing good, qualifies for maintaining the pattern. But if we would allow for more time to introduce innovation, we might push the collective further than we could’ve ever imagined.

Like Socrates said: "The sky is the limit"

But wait, he never actually said that!
And that’s fine. After all, we don’t have to be led by wisdom and knowledge of the past. If it’s innovation we seek, by default, the experienced ones are not the people to look at. Since solutions of the past are quicker in place than the possibilities of the future, I figured we’d introduce a spot where we can launch ideas. This gives us the opportunity to test their viability before the need of implementation arises. That means that when the next city falls or is born, we have the choice between good and an opportunity.

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $80,000 Tip

When: The next city dies of the plague or any other human- or nature inspired event.
Title: Battle Royale

Description: Every Friday at 18.00pm a group of 25 pre-registered associates compete in a free-for-all battle in the vacant city. To battle age and protection differences, we can open up to different variations based on interest.  “Under ten days”, “(Slightly) Protected only” for example.

Restrictions: Only attacks on registered contestants can happen. Can’t have any help from sponsored people who are not registered. Unsponsored can help. Unsponsored can be killed by the greater community.

Prize: Each other city contributes 5 million to the prize pot. Winner takes all. There’s no one else left after all.

Benefits:
- Some fun for all, bets possible
- Opens up to small-scale politics / grouping
- Opens up to inviting help (inviting people over from the civilian side of life)

Report Post Tip

When: The next city dies of the plague or any other human- or nature inspired event.
Title: That Next Talent

Description: Every month, each city launches a single crew leader into the vacant city. On the first of that month, at 00:00, it turns into a free-for-all.

Restrictions:
No parties from the other cities/crews can be involved in determining the winner.

Prize:
The winning crew leader can pick a city of their choice, assuming the city extended an invite. This means you can put your undesirables in the competition, but if they win, some other city might get their talent. You might put your talent in, but it might be that another city is more appealing to them afterwards and they might change location after the competition.

Benefits:
- Fun
- Opens up to bets
- Opens up to politics, working together and competition between cities (who gets the winner?)
