A long day for me and those who are in my family yesterday. It is with a heavy heart filled with the pain of losses that I come to speak to you today. I lost four people yesterday due to the misguided loyalties and an extremely poorly thought out plan of action. Rogues decided to take action on things that they clearly knew very little about, and four of my most loyal members paid the price. Wingz, the woman this is centralised around, Hulk, a man I trusted with my life, Black_Widow, a woman I trusted infinitely with the protection of my family as my Left Hand, and finally grendel, a woman I adored and cared for.

To clarify the situation from both points of views as far as I understand it, I'd need to explain what actually happened and what has been perceived as happening.

A certain bloodline joined my family hoping for a chance to prove herself to me by gaining my trust, then telling me who she was later on due to the fact there was a ban on her joining any NY families. I was unaware of who this person was until two or three days into her life within my family when I discovered her identity. Once I found out who she was, I decided that I'd like to give her one final opportunity to prove herself to me, being the soft touch I am. I seeked out TheDean, who gave his approval to me under the terms that if she stepped out of line for a minute, she'd be out the door. Hence, the pact between NY leaders was waived for a final opportunity.

This woman, masquerading under the name of "Wingz", proved to be a great asset to my family. Loyal, unquestioning, infinitely helpful and the perfect role model to younger members in my family. In my opinion, she was more than proving herself. She was becoming integral to the functioning of my family, and I was happy to let that happen. Unfortunately, she was struck down by TheSmilingAssassin.

This seems like an appropriate time to address his reasoning. By my reckoning, his justifications for the shot seem mightily flawed. Questioning my own loyalty, when he quite happily shrugged off his own loyalty to TheDean by taking it upon himself to shoot someone who had been explicitly allowed into my family by TheDean himself? Selfishly deciding that by shooting her, he would give up his own life and thus end the family known as The Gigante Family, without considering the effect this would have on his numerous members?

I refute any claim that I was "disloyal and uncaring", while all the time being accused of breaking a pact. The pact was waived, as previously stated, by the Godfather of our city. That should go without questioning from any New Yorker, crewleader's inclusive. TheSmilingAssassin shrugged off his responsibilities as an upstanding member of New York when he took it upon himself to shoot one of my members. As it stands, I lost four key members yesterday due to the misgivings of a delusional crewleader. That's the truth of it, and I will not stand and have my reputation tarnished by the son of a man who's idea of having "balls big enough to actually stand up and take no shit" is going rogue against his own city and disobeying his Godfather's rules.

Rest in peace to my deceased members, you will all be missed by The Next Generation and New York as a whole.

I was going to let this topic be put to bed, because one thing is for certain, the family line of Melis is not worth all this.  I think we've all been through that hurricane enough.  However, here is what I can say to this whole matter, because I feel I've bit my tongue long enough. 

What TSA did was certainly wrong in the aspect that you never kill a Boss from your own city without checking with the Godfather. However, that is not what I'm here to say, that is just the effect of what you caused.

I need a new paragraph for this, Altidore.  What you've done is far worse than TSA.  You have done the worst thing any Captain can do to a Godfather, you forced your own leader into a situation where he had to make a choice in either going back on a decision he made or upholding it, either way people leave unhappy.  Let me tell you something, you may feel like a savior, like someone who finds a wounded and completely warped bird with a broken wing (no pun intended) and nursed it back to health, but you put your city in a FAR more precarious situation by essentially blackmailing your own Godfather.

For those who don't know, the line of Melis was banned by New York, Altidore brought her into his family, found out who she was a few days after, and then, as I'm told, informed TheDean just last Saturday.  At that point Melis was still banned from the city.  In another speech, Whatsername said that a Godfather has the right to veto any decision he has made, which is absolutely true.  However, do not kid yourself, you should have killed Wingz based on the law of New York as soon as you knew.  Instead you plead your case, and put a Godfather in a position he hates to be in.  Your job as Captain should have been to kill her, and then approach TheDean about bringing her back when she was no longer in your crew. 

Here's another thing I would like to know, in your speech you mentioned you found out who she was 2-3 days after her joining your family.  However, according to someone who I'd rather not name because he's been through enough with this bullshit, TheDean learned her identity around last Saturday (November 14th-ish).  That leaves 2 weeks unaccounted for.  Now one would have to call into question that you intentionally deceived your Godfather, not me necessarily, but if one were to look at the timeline here, there was enough time for Wingz to rank up and make the decision harder for TheDean than say if she was a Goomba.  TheDean is my best friend and closest confidante, and any time someone tries to mess with him you BETTER believe I will be there defending him.

Altidore, I'm sure former New York member, Luc will be hurt as you don't consider him important enough to mention, he too was killed.

I would love to stand here and make an intelligent reply to your outstanding, yet quite misleading speech sir, but I believe Roman has pretty much cleared it all up.
I will however say sir that in my opinion, TSA had every right to take out Wingz after you had shown no interest in doing the deed yourself. She may have well been a loyal member and hard working, but that doesn't excuse the countless time her line has fucked over NY and the Godfather and it certainly doesn't excuse how you purposely hid the truth about Wingz' bloodline and only chose to approach TheDean once you had no other choice as people were beginning to talk.

TSA may well be considered a rogue, but he done nothing that so many other people didn't want to do themselves, if anything, I think you should be shot purely on the fact of putting TheDean into an awkward situation which he hates and knowing full well Wingz was banned from New York anyway.

I myself see two main problems with the situation, two leaders, who both defied their Godfather's wishes.

I normally try to avoid heated debate's in the street, but like my Godfather Roman, my family line goes back far with TheDean, and it hits me very close to the heart anytime anyone tries to take advantage of him.

TSA defied his Godfather's orders when he learned Wingz was given a pass to 'try again'. He should have swallowed his pride and let it go, BUT how easy is it to swallow your pride when you know that you shouldn't have been put in the situation to choose to follow an old standing order vs a new order. How easy is it to swallow pride, when you know what this person can do to a city?

Altidore defied his Godfather when he learned Wingz was of banned blood, the moment he learned he should have followed his Godfathers orginal order and slain the stained line where she stood. Once a order goes out it should be followed to a T, not what you think you should do. I can see if you learned who it was and rid your city of their blood line once again, and then went to Dean and told him what has happen and then offered her a new chance and then let your Godfather decide.

Let me preface this with a few tidbits about me.  I always take on the charity cases.  I root for the underdogs.  I'm the first to give a second, third, fourth, fifth chance.

I always want to see the good in people, I guess thats just the bleeding heart in me - however - the older and wiser I get the more I look deeper into things.  The day she joined your crew, she knew the lethal consequences it could have on your entire family.  She willingly accepted the fact that her actions may very well lead to the slaughter of you and your entire family - and she was OK with that.  She joined your crew under false pretenses that she knew put thousands of hours of hard work in jeopardy. She stared off with a very dangerous lie and she was felt that your entire family was not worth a whole lot, and you were all acceptable risks in her mind.

Altidore, you are charged with taking care of the lives of 26 people, this is a huge responsibility.  I know it is a monumental task to keep 25 people safe from outside threats - but one would imagine that it only gets increasingly more difficult if one of those 25 people from your flock are more than willing end all 26 lives with a single shrugged off action.

Its a good trait to have a soft spot in your heart - but remember that it can be used to take advantage of you and cause to you possibly lose focus on what your true priorities are.

The fact that TSA knew he was going to die for it before he shot and even with that, he shot only that one person, he didn't go on a killing spree just because he could and he knew his time was up. He took care of something that needed to be sorted and paid the ultimate sacrifice for it, which I hear was worth it on his part.

TSA pissed off a lot of people via his actions which I find quite amusing considering the mails he received after he shot her, I was listening in on a conversation between TSA's son (my brother) and one of the NY heads who out in public, will bitch and moan about it, but in the coffee shops, they have a completely different mind set.
Of course, I wouldn't expect any leader or upper structure to come out here and put their life at risk just to simply say they agreed with what TSA done, but I also don't expect two-faced words either, so have one opinion and stick to it, don't use this situation as a chance to boost your speech counts while wasting everyone's time with false opinions.

This is quite shocking Altidore, I agree with everything GF Roman has said. People are asking you questions and all you have to say is no comment. You fucked up, at least you should own up to your mistakes, coward.

The only mistake TSA made was taking the shot himself, many of his members would have gladly taken the fall for him, something your crew wouldn't, since you desperately tried to save a boss' life who had been banned from NY.

From what Altidore has said here, TheDean allowed Melis this chance to make up for it. Perhaps they didn't make it publicly known because the less attention the less people watching and criticizing every move?

However the timeline doesn't add up as previously states as well as putting the Godfather in a bad position in itself.

It wasn't his call to make on taking that shot. Wingz was in another family within New York if anyone would have the auth it would have been TheDean. If TSA had such a problem he should have gone to TheDean and expressed how heavily his emotions were. Also, TSAs' kin made a speech about how it was his fault that there were rogues and they started shooting Altidores members. So yes, they did go on a killing spree.

After reading all the information in this incident it seems like things could have been handled better than they were. But then again I was not privy to any kind of talk that was going on in between the NY families or their Godfather. Was TSA right in taking the shot on someone who has done bad things to the NY city, I'm not sure that is up for everyone to decide on their own. Should he have talked to TheDean about it before he pulled the trigger, who knows but thats not the way that it happened. I feel like dwelling on what could of happened or what if scenarios don't really help out anything. I believe now is a time to mourn those who have been lost and pay our respects to them. But then again that is just my opinion on the matter.

While I know that mistakes may have been made I think that we should leave this matter to the people of whom it concerns. I didn't want to enter this debate but I fealt the need to step in, I agree with marcus, good things can not come out of talking about this. I feel like the people who are saying that Godfather TheDean should not have been put in this position are trying to push him into another. I want to ask NY to stay out of this, if you have views about it talk to your hierarchy about it and let it be voiced from one person alone.

Disrespecting a NY family no, however a captain who went against his godfathers wishes and allowed an unwanted figure to remain in their family after finding out who they are then yes.

In my eye's there are three people who have not only disrespected one New York family, but the entire city of New York are as follows:

Wingz for trying to fly in under everyone's radar knowing full well that they weren't welcome here and by getting in, putting the family they joined at risk. Against the Godfathers wishes

Altidore for not only allowing Wingz to remain, but putting Godfather TheDean in a position where he has to backpeddle on a previous order that has been issued, there by going against the Godfathers wishes

TheSmillingAssasin for while he removed someone who was not welcome, the way he went about it was totally wrong and again went against the Godfathers wishes.

Wingz was killed because she was not welcome, TheSmillingAssasin was killed because he violated direct orders. So I have to wonder why is Altidore the man who could have stopped any of this happening long before this incident is still walking around.

Surely his actions concerning this issue have shown that he is willing to not only go against the Godfathers wishes, but he has also put the Godfather in a position that one of his captains should never do.

There seems to be only one real mistake here on behalf of TSA and that was via not taking down Altidore too while he had the chance.
