What does money actually mean? Presently, there is an economy with over £1Bn in it. Average holdings for each person are around $1.5M. Does this give a true reflection? Many of those on the streets today are offspring of former mob bosses, some of whom amassed tens of millions before dying. This wealth was ploughed into the marketplace and then surreptitiously left for the sons and daughters of the prominenti to find and spend. But how much use is it?
Those adept at playing the market place often make many millions. But they do so at the expense of engaging with the more traditional ways of earning money in this thing.. A marketplace speculator will follow the sound of the war drums – not to take part, but to use this information to generate more wealth for himself. So, essentially, does this make him part of a family? Or is he merely using a family as protection whilst he buys and sells? Of course, his marketplace profits are not bound by tribute. If they were, the upper echelons of this thing would be obscenely rich. |

I don't think the average holdings is calculated using a weighted average.. I think it's simply: Total Money / Total Members.
Does this give a true reflection? No, I wouldn't assume that the truly economy is evenly distributed through each of the members - but you already knew this.
I'd say there are four primary places where money is distributed from each person.
1.) Maintance - this would cover living/traveling expenses. (Flights, drug purchase, bodyguard training sessions)
2.) "Credit purchase." - which contributes to contract inquires, credit downs, etc etc
3.) Bodyguard purchases
4.) Tribute
The average person, I'd say focuses on #1, #4 - saving up for #2 and #3.
Now you mentioned how - the higher echelons would be obscenely rich. I do believe they are. You can't only consider what they have on hand or in the bank - as their family/city is an investment in itself. Money rises to the top and is often redistributed to the underlings. |

What I was hinting at was the 'hidden wealth'. Let's say everyone gave every credit a value of $200k - it would possibly add another billion or two (maybe more). But, if everyone was to sell at the same time, the price would plummet - I've seen them as low as $90k. So how much merit is there in investments?
Other than that, you're absolutely right! The biggest asset in this thing is a functioning family. A top GF probably clears several million a day. |
