So because I've been making quite a few suggestions as of late I've decided to put both of these suggestions into one thread and to avoid clutter in the forum, also because they're both simple suggestions that don't require much jibber jabber. 

Vacation Mode:

This is honestly a very simple suggestion, simply a Vacation or In Hiding mode. All this would be is a little drop down on your Manage tab where you type why you're going to be away as well as give the admins a return day. Once the admins review your request and they approve it then your status part of your profile where it shows alive will simply say Vacation or In Hiding, which name is decided on. I'm suggesting it has to be approved so as someone can't simply go into hiding to avoid dying in a war that's already on going. Vacation mode would fall under the follow:

• Player cannot be killed while in Vacation mode
• If player logs into game at all while on vacation mode their vacation status is terminated and they are now "Alive" again.
• Once vacation mode is over they can be allotted a 48 hour grace period where they cannot be killed just in case their family was killed while they were away. If player uses their gun at all then their grace period is revoked and they can then be killed for a +1.

Bonus Defense while Offline:

This suggestion couldn't get any simpler, the title says it all. When a player is offline then they receive a bonus to their defense, the bonus should be a value only known to the admins. Something between +50 and +250 that way the player base doesn't know it and it makes the planning strategy for a war just a little bit harder.

I disagree with this. Simply because people should be able to kill people that end up inactive. You want to go on vacation and not log in? Risk it like the rest of us.

I feel like this could be abused if someone caught wind of an impending war etc.

Which is why I say it must be admin approved, and only for real reasons such as going on a business trip, or going to be away training for a job. Things of that such that a person with a life outside of this thing of ours cannot control.

Yeah this will get abused hard AF man. 

Its a cool idea, but is guaranteed it be used to protect people for big wars. 

It's a no from me, I'm afraid. Just seems unnecessary and easily abusable. Besides the rather rare circumstances similar to what we experienced with Scofield just recently, there's very little that could stop you logging in entirely. I've been in a position where a family crisis happened and my activity went from 80-100 hours/week to 0-10, I ended up just retiring the account because I couldn't offer my crew nor my city what they needed to survive with the other cities - interaction, socialising, etc. However, them circumstances really are few and far between. We all have busy lives, but I doubt very many of us are so busy on a regular day that they can't log in for 30 minutes and answer mail.

I guess when making the suggestion I though of my situation too much and not the vast majority of people. Being in the army I leave for weeks at a time very regularly I know much people do not tho

Absolutely not. Heavily abused and 100% not in the spirit of the game.
