| Id love to see someome actively from the rogue communinty in help desk, there is abosuletly no representation for the rogue community, its as if its not part of this game. No one can speak up for us, half the time i post threads on suggestions i dont get replies. Id love to see someome who i can relate with on helpdesk. Most of you gonna give me shit but so be it. I know some far better players mechanically than those you have on help desk currently. So knowledge is not much of an issue. | |

| Shouldn’t help desk personal be impartial as they’re there to help players, not influence change they want to see? | |

And you also missed the point most of these ppl on helpdesk are auth right now or have been in the last 3 months. So if you wanna talk about influence change 🤦♂️🤦♂️ your pointing the wrong way. But thats not why i made this post has nothing to do with influencing anything in game. Its about knowledge and representation. |

HelpDesk doesn't exist to influence any type of change, or to express any particular type of playing style. I don't see how specifically having someone with a "rogue mindset" on the HelpDesk would help anything - 99% of HelpDesk's job is answering mechanical questions about the game or fielding bugs. The other 1% is monitoring the Streets. Users in general should be able to speak for themselves - if you're not getting replies on your Suggestions, I would float the idea to tell your friends to post there to raise the hype on it. It has been repeatedly shown that most Suggestions in the past that have enough support do get put in, and those that don't... well, you get the point. It's possible that the suggestions were just not that great, I don't know which ones in particular you're speaking on. Can you elaborate on how some of HelpDesk having recently/currently being authed plays into anything? |

(Alright those %'s aren't exactly legit, there's fielding questions to Coders, and monitoring for Spam as well - but close enough) |

I agree does not just taking a jab at what the other guy said. But if i had a question about going rogue or anything in the rogue category, none of you would be able to help me and actullay correlate with what im trying to do. Help desk is for informational purposes in game. Rogue mindset is such a small detail. If the player has been a succesfull rogue multiple times. Hes clearly got the job down. Where are the guides to rogue? Players wont allow them why because of how that tittle is viewed in this community. But it exist non the less. Not sure what you mean when u say you have no influence on anything as help desk. You are explaining to the masses fact by fact when asked a specific question. Leaving certain facts out can influence a players decisions. Im not sayiny it has been done or is done. Nor does it influence anything on a scale that matters. How am i gonna go to anyone on help desk and ask them anything regarding rogues. From a players point of view you are all on the same side in game. None of you rogue, im sure no one is comfortable with asking help desk anything about going rogue. Id like to see some change. Id like to see rogue and incogs thrive more. Represntation matters it has for years in real life and in game. If a rogue help desk were active maybe people will accept its part of the game and not some sort of real life sin a player is committing . Maybe we will see regimes use rogues more to knock people off. But as of right now the only exciting thing in the game is being portrayed as rag and bone. |

Hey Clank, You're talking about an aspect of the game that has too many variables to confidently produce a "how to" guide. "Going rogue" has a spectrum of scenarios which many have conflicting opinions of. What's more, nobody likes voicing those opinions in case they turn into a target for those who prefer to do so. Examples being, someone who sits in a crew with the sole intention of turning rogue to disrupt the current regime. or Someone deciding that, after months of commitment to a cause, they decide to break away and change things because their CL won't. We also can't control who receives what mail to helpdesk, it goes to a single inbox. Whoever is online or can answer it, will do. Just because some people have never turned rogue, doesn't mean they don't understand the purpose of it. They might just have a conflicting opinion on how that particular approach threatens their own. And "Going rogue" isn't something HD would really be able to advise on anyway. It's a method of play, not a mechanic or bug. We would advise to seek advise from the community, the same can be said for questions on how many bodyguards a person can shoot through. Hope this helps. LG |

There have been plenty of handbooks, since before my time about going rogue etc. Im not really sure what "what having an conflicting Opinion" on aspect of the game has to do with implementing representation. Are you insinuating the rogues should just be ignored because the community deems there actions as "conflicting"? Are rogues not paying players like yourself? Do they not get a voice?
Yeah i get the part of helpdesk singular inbox but im sure its not of difficulty to create something of a singular inbox for a singular account to read. Knowing the purpose and understanding are two very big different things, you guys dont understand the rogues thats the entire reason for there existence a point not getting across, that needs to get across, thus leading to rogue. For example You posted a thread about incogs, and how you felt the trust should not be there for incog players, and you tiptoed the line with basically saying they should be killed at 40 days. Due to rogues right? But the last 2 big rogues were not incog. It had nothing to do with being incog, its because rogues are a threat to what you believe in. Peace and prosperity. This is a mafia game though. I knew the minute you posted that you would be WS caught. You cannot disrespect part of the community and expect ppl to sit on there hands. Its no different then you being a GF and publicly calling out a rouge player, which is exactly what you did during Lollipop. And you died because of it, im 99% sure had you not gone on IRC and ranted about how scum lollipops was, youd still be alive.
Ay i dont know about the extent of help HelpDesk can give so thanks for that mate, im just looking too see some representation. As of right now every single position gives you a boost to something. When you drop and rogue you get nothing, the CL boost you would get is measly because you have no members. Quite frankly when ppl rogue they know the are going to die 100% of the time, so a CL boost with a full crew still imo is nothing. With the lack of wars, increase in BG cap, implement of heat, implement of distance , im under the impression the game is leaning towards a less aggressive sort of play style thats fine, but there are players who sole purpose of playing is to see an actual account swimming with the fishes. Increase in BG cap no increase in Mia limit im just no understanding the balance at all, but thats another convo thanks for the chat, my apologies if i came off hostile i mean no ill will. |

This made me laugh...
Rogue is actually the same as being a crewleader. |

A rogue buys himself a HQ. Shoots at other people on the game usually.
An authed Crewleader buys herself a HQ. Get members which boosts her gun and somewhere down the line might shoot at other people on the game in a war usually.
Tell me what the difference is? |

A rogue is not a rogue until he drops and shoots .
You just said the difference, one is Authed one is not ..... |

Now tell me exactly as the game mechanics are EXACTLY the same for both people and the only difference being that people tag one as Authed and the other as Rogue. Why would Helpdesk be indifferent to help either? |

Where did i say anything about helpdesk being indifferent to helping? I suggested some rogue representation among helpdesk. I stated the community view on going rogue, i never said helpdesk does not help the rogues, im not sure what they would even be able to help on as i have only asked one or two questions to helpdesk. Hence my suggestion, i was unaware game mechanics could not be shared by helpdesk until LG just said so. I think you are confusing some of what im saying as Rogue @ Helpdesk , when its Rogue @ Community , that is my fault as i did not specify well when i was referring to each topic. |

Fair enough!
If you want someone to represent the rogue community why don't you just take that mantle up yourself? No need for it to be coded into the game lol |

For someone who wants to build player driven features and community events, yes, rogues are a problem. Only a particular type though. My motivation to discuss comes from the types that lash out, often driven by old grudges and/or at random/convenient targets, or because they feel they have been 'disrespected'. Going rogue isn't a 'respectful' endeavour. In Goodfellas Tommy DeSimone 'went rogue' and killed a made guy, he was then killed himself for the act. So my solution was to raise the topic with the community and look for ideas and appetite on how to handle the situation differently. I did so knowing full well it would put a target on my back and that there would likely be little engagement as others don't wish to do the same. I wanted to find a turning point which discouraged hunting for rouges in the normal sense and broke the cycle of grudges that prevent rogue players from enjoying the game as everyone else does. I could have kept my thoughts to myself and converse in private with those in power. My solution may not have been the best or executed well, but that's what discussions are for. I wasn't met with discussion though, I was met with threats, ridicule and death. No attempt to change my mind from the rogue community, no attempt to argue the defending side, just the outcome I expected from the very start. Disrespect to part of the community or not, it was met with exactly the same approach that rogues tend to preach to justify their own actions. "You can't say anything in the streets without getting shot.". I've got nothing personal against you Clank and I have full appreciation for when a rogues actions can be progressive for the game. My animosity has only ever been directed to those that hide purposefully, play dumb and waste peoples time or shoot at random targets that have no impact to the direction of the game. On topic, HD Rogue representation is the same as ensuring HD has RP representation, or dice method representation, or the best way to build a gun representation. As HD members we do our best to advise on understanding functional aspects of the game without giving away or speculating the mechanics of it. In the event those questions come up, we refer them to their crew leader/upper structure. |
