......Is under new management. With the amicable breaking up of business affairs between poppyzeb promotions I'm proud to bring you the first of a series of ranking nights. Let me explain. I want any of you interested to mail me with your fighting weight (I want 'featherweight' heavyweight' etc rather than llbs or kilo's) and your fighting names. There will be divisions in which each fight will gain ranking points and the winner of each division will win the WBC (World BOING! Championship) in their preferred weight. The usual rules will apply and the usual costs will have changed slightly, to your own benefit. Those of you of the gambling persuasion can contact me about setting up an official bookmakers. However, your losses will be your losses and no inside information will be forthcoming. I'm looking for a pair of bruisers, nay, pugilists to take on my very first solo promotion tomorrow night. Never forget what Keats once said:- 'that Oscar Wilde is a right puff, i'll have him now!' thus spawning years of homo erotic satirical comedies. THIS COULD BE EVEN WORSE THAN THAT! Sledge, I'll see you have your very own dressing room. Really. Siobhan, I cannot think of a more perfect interlude. However 'ye foitin oirish' like to get your hands dirty don't you? I'm sure you can find someone 'begarrah' enough to take on? Failing that, I'd be glad to call upon your services. I'll provide the guinness and the potatoes! |
