"Graduation sir, law school in Chicago University."

"Chicago law school? You're a bright one, my son graduated from there too! Working as a cop now."

"Ah, cop! We be working together often then, will be starting out in the DA's office tomorrow."

"DA's office huh? First Asian chap they are hiring. Well good luck to you. The City's in a mess you know. Crimes happening day and night, 1 family going big over another. The cops having their work cut out for them you know. Anyway, good luck sonny, hope you get to work with my son one day."

 
Jonlowhc tugs his bags out to the customs officer. Work with your son. Doesn't sound like one of our kind. So long as he doesn't give me any trouble, we won't give him any either. But still, precautions. Can't be too careful. Jonlowhc now looks over to the 5 other asian ladies coming behind him.. 

"Purpose of visit?"

“说什么” （what are you saying?)
"Purpose of visit ma'am, what is your reason to come to Chicago?"

The package is stuck..
"Sir? Forgive my aunt, they can't understand English.. you see.. all the way from China, never been to the United States before. They are here to witness my graduation."
"I see. may I see their passports please?

"Sure, no problem..辐照，他要看你们的辐照."

Just one more problem left..

"This looks in order, can I see your bags please."

"Sure no problem, 背包,他要看你们的背包”

The officer didn't look very welcoming, but he still greeted them. "Welcome to America.“

Huddle 1 solved, now where do I find Mr MustachePete? Jonlowhc looked around for a phone booth, Call 745-6432 once you brought the package passed airport security. He recalls there was a phonebooth near the airport bus stop. He then motions the 5 ladies to follow him. They scuttle along quickly behind him. As the bus stop drew closer, the image of the phone booth slowly came to be. Dialing 745-6432

"Hello? The package has arrived from Malaysia. Where should it be brought to?" 
"Bring the package to Sunnyside Avenue. There is a car workshop there, to its left is a door. When you arrive, knock on the door and say It’s a smoking good morning”

The receiver cuts off just like that. Jonlowhc instinctively looks around. Not far from here, probably only 5 blocks away. He beacons to the Chinese girls to follow him.

Upon arriving, Jonlowhc looks for the car workshop, very run down he noted.  The door is just next to it. 4 hard knocks on the door will do. “It’s a smoking good morning” he said out loud.

5 minutes later, a shabby looking man came down and stare with bloodshot eyes at Jonlowhc. “Wheres the package?” But started staring at the 5 Chinese girls shortly after.

“The package? Here they are.” Jonlowhc beacons towards the 5 Chinese girls.

“I’m afraid you got the wrong idea. When we say package, we meant coke kid. These 5 asian girls aren’t coke. Unless you are meaning to tell me you are hiding it in them?”

“That’s precisely what I’m saying. Shall we go up, and I shall show you where its hidden? Unless you  speak Chinese, I don’t think you can figure it out.”

Not believing Jonlowhc. The Shabby looking guy moves towards 1 of the Chinese girls. “Where is it honey?”
 

“他在说什么呀”

“Believe me now?”

Sulking, he turns back upstairs. “Follow me. The boss is upstairs”

MustachePete Was sitting on an executive chair next to Oldboy. 4 bodyguards stood next to them. “Listen here kid, I am a busy man. Where is the package?”

“Right here. 快点拿出来“

The 5 ladies squat down, and took a long tube out from their skirts..

“1KG of Heroin, as requested”
“The fuck is wrong with you…”
“I needed to get through airport security. Luggage and pockets would be out of the question. If I am to make them swallow it, you need to cut them up. I don’t think that’s a problem, but really, would you want to waste 5 beautiful Chinese girls?”

For a moment, everyone remains silent. All eyes on MustachePete and Jonlowhc. Tension in the air is high.

“Hahahahahahaha” MustachePete after staring hard at Jonlowhc, broke out in laughter. “You got guts kid, I give you that. Here, on the table, 25 grand.” He paused for a while and looked at Oldboy. The 2 seemed to come to an understanding. Now it was Oldboy’s turn to speak again. “Hey kid, take this letter.”
  
“Thanks” As Jonlowhc turns to leave, MustachePete calls on “I thought you meant for the Chinese girls as tribute?”
“Yes Sir. I beg your pardon.. forgotten to tell them…” Jonlowhc turns to the Chinese ladies. “你们都留下.”
 

After exiting the room, he opens the letter.

“Hey kid, I like your style with the work you have done for us but You should probably find a good home to keep you safe from the coppers and others that may want to harm you. We have some openings for a young mafioso who is looking to climb the ladder all the way to the top.  Are you up for the challenge? Would you like me to bring you in and introduce you to the Family?  We can protect you and teach you how to keep yourself safe.”

Jonlowhc grimed. Pocketed the letter and climb back upstairs.

d 1^st floor.

Not believing his luck, acceptance into the ranks of the biggest mafia gang in Chicago. Jonlowhc feels a sudden urge to prove himself. The initiation was not what he expected. Asian gang initiations revolves around a lot of bloodpacts. Usually the large toe or the flat of the feet. sometimes the hands, but very rare. After that, a tattoo is expected from the newborn. This will be selected by the white chips, who would then also be the go to leader. After that, everything revolves around creating pirated issues of as many things as possible. Asian gangsters, particularly the Chinese specialises in prostitutions, piracy and other property related industries. Rare few would venture into mechanical parts industry, but only the elite gangsters would create ties with the government and administratives of the nation to traffick drugs. But here...... the taste of freedom is simply overwhelming. Initation was pretty much a handshake with looks of understanding between him and the Don, before the Don asking him a few simple questions. After which, the Don beacons to one of his body guards, who then came with a small envelop. The Don looks into it, and nodded, then hands it out to Jonlowhc. "Welcome to the family." That was simply it. Apart from instructions to seek directions from his second in command, there was really nothing else involved. 

OldBoy came up to him later as he was about to make his way out of the room. "Follow me, lets talk in private" 

Jonlowhc tagged along obediently. "As you know, our shipments of coke from Madagascar has been dwindling due to the recent crackdown and lets face it, the people there are not as quick in production as you guys, so we need shipments to come in fast. The boss has some big plans still pending because of this unexpected delays."
 

"I see... Let me see what I can do. Is there anyone else working with me on this front?" 

"Not at the moment, you are the only one who speaks Chinese. But when the shipments comes in, tell them to go to dock 10, our boys will know how to take it from there. If you come from the airport, tell them to come here. Can't imagine them coming that way unless shipments too little. Let you in on something, the boss doesn't like things coming from the airport. So if you don't want to be swimming with the fishes, keep them coming from the waters from now on."

Jonlowhc nodded. "Don't want to offend the boss."

"Right you are."

First things first, to establish the network further. 

All these while Jonlowhc has only been bringing coke in small small quantities. the payout is good, but not good enough to plant his name down as one of the greats. He will need numbers on his side. Leaving the thought to one corner of his brain, he carrys his luggage to the nearest bus stop. 1 more month in the college hostel. Exactly 1 month time to find a new place to live in. Also, on the job, he be having to report in to work tomorrow morning. Not much time left for leisure. 

Lets start by looking at the facts of geography I need to consider. 

1.) This new location I pick has to allow easy access to moving around Chicago. Either I will need to be close to the airport, or else the ports. As air travel is getting more and more expensive, time to start looking into ships. Afterall, transport via those means allows for larger importations as well. Probably I d move in somewhere around the port. At the same time, staying in the city allows me to connect with key figures faster. I might not need to stay near the port so often since its probably better to hire someone for that. Whereas I can't hire anyone to help me build connections.
