| Consequences. | Started by: JamesKirk on Mar 27, '19 19:26 |

I see a lot of people here treat this as if it was a real life situation. My idea im not sure if its been mentioned before or not is why not make it more realistic and real life. If a crime family in real life or a member of a crime family commits a murder then in real life there would be consequences whether that be a police investigation or said person who committed the crime serving jail time. Im not saying if you kill someone you get life imprisonment. My idea is simple, and i think it will add more strategy, If say person A kills someone be it a MIA, RIA, NPC or Player then there is a chance they will get caught and spend 2-3 days in prison where they can be jail broken, but this will take a OC and be very hard. If more than 1 person from the same crime family kill someone and get caught then the family is put under investigation for 2-3 where no criminal activity can be taken out no crimes, trades, killing etc.
I think if people say this is how mafia life is, then adding this will be more realistic.
I enjoy reading feed back or even adding or making the ideas better. |

Dislike this idea. There is already the "heat" mechanic in the game where if someone over Made+ shoots someone under Made man, they get "heat". This "debuff" stacks up over time and can reach crazy amounts of time where you can't do anything on your character. This is fair as it makes it so in wars and such you use your lower ranked people to shoot the proers and other underlings. Your idea would slow the progress of everything down 10 fold, especially given the rate that MIA's and NPCs are shot and killed. If this was implemented the chance of this happening would have to be 0.0000000001% chance of this happening. Locking out an entire family which this mechanic is also a bit crazy to me. Losing 2-3 days on a character, much less an entire family, is crushing in most instances. |

This isn't real life. You're playing a game. That's like saying you should stop at every red line and do life in prison in Grand Theft Auto. |

I understand the game aspect, but there is also a clear real life aspect that is mentioned by plenty of people this would simply make it more life real life but i appreciate you feedback on the matter |

There already exists mechanics in the game like Wackback Jail and Force Fail where you get caught killed/attempting to kill someone and get sent to jail with increased time and increased guards. I think if this time were made any longer or the consequences were made more severe we would have a mafia.org situation where people can get stuck in jail for days, lose interest in the game, and never come back. Who wants to be stuck in jail for 3 days at a time for just taking part in the normal activities of the game? |
