... to be a successful business person and Mafioso? What skills do you possess that separates you from the rest? Salvatore takes a breath, and begins his second Street speech in two days, on subjects that spring to his mind as he is wandering the streets, and he impulsively speaks, changing tack and digressing faster than the eye can follow as his mind goes off at tangents. Controlling himself, he organises his thoughts before delivering his thoughts verbally to the crowds bustling around the Street. You've got your skilled shooters of course, you have your leadership skills, but is there anything else you pride yourself on? I was recently approached by a young Mafioso claiming to be new to our way of life, and she possessed skills I haven't seen in these parts for a long time. We all clamour over each other stating how as Mafioso we have high levels of respect, but how many of us actually show this respect in every day life? It was amazing how much a little bit of respect impressed me. "This level of courtesy will get you far", I informed her as I was so astounded by it. Her retort? "I thought only the ruthless got by!" Ruthlessness? It can be useful when it comes to leading, but what position are the lower ranks in to be ruthless? I'd say they're not in any position at all to use that skill if they possess it. Another point this young Mafioso had was how much arrogance littered the Street. In my personal opinion, arrogance has no place for anyone wanting to gain my respect. Arrogance is a sign that a person thinks they are better than everyone else, superior to the rest of the Mafioso that make up the rest of this world. I would not rate that as a good quality in any circumstances. There are many qualities to be appreciated in a Mafioso, the obvious and the more inconspicuous personality qualities or skills. To be a good orator is a valued quality of course, speeches and contributions to other speeches being relatively necessary apparently from anyone that lives our life of crime. So, have you got what it takes? What skills or qualities do you possess that separate you from the rest of the rabble? After concluding his speech, leaving it open to any level of Mafioso, a Mafioso with any level of oratory skills, to answer, Salvatore steps down from his soapbox and sinks back into the shadows. |

Mike sucks in a large breath. I'm 100% legit... what's this "Mafia" business you keep bringing up. No such thing as a "Mafia". Purely fictional... for entertainment purposes on many many different media outlets. Mike pants afterwards. Phew. |

Damn! Marino finds the nearest payphone and rings his contact in the local cops. Sorry mate, they've cottoned on... Yeah I know you said it wouldn't work but it was worth a try... What? Of course they're Mafioso!... Fine, don't listen to me then, you just ignore the streets. Whatever! Salvatore hangs up, returns to the streets and looks sweetly at Mr Toreno. They seem to be ignoring the streets. Something about a pay-off or something? You have that secretive quality sir, a very difficult thing to manage... Alas, you appear to missing the ability to sell yourself! After all, that's the opportunity I'm granting you. |
