I have been around here ages, and as much as I love the current UI. Things need updating over time and things need improving, features need adding etc.
It's only natural for the game to develop and change over time. I personally love the new UI look and think if people gave it a chance, even those who say they hate it, they will actually not find it half bad.
It's not like the whole game is changing, it's just the UI, deal with it.

I for one can't wait for the new MR to come out!!!

Damn. I get away with playing this 8hrs a day at work purely because the system we use is grey and my boss can't tell im on here. Still, I agree that things must over time be updated to reflect the changes we've had.

after checking it out, i have to say it look icky. i really hope you reconsider the look. or atleast give us the option to keep the old interface.

I don't see the point in them giving us the option, it will just mean more work for them, when people will quite happily just play on the new UI. I think adding that bit of colour to it makes it look better, rather than it looking 'icky'

Orphelia we may have to live what the coders make the game but the players make this kind of game.

Any sort of graphic is depicted through text based role play. Otherwise this would be a grey screen with a few clickable links.

So although I see your point on it's what the coders decide. What if the coders don't listen to users, put in something absolutley idiotic or something of the sorts then lose users (even those that donate). The game would gradually fall to pieces.

If you ever go to a store and see comment cards or notice their 1-800 numbers about how their service was it's because the company needs feedback on what consumers want. We're telling the coders what we want, if they choose not to listen, fine, but to say the players have no say (thats what it seems you implied) then you're knowledge on how to run a business is quite questionable.

to be more specific the current version, not the new one looks cleaner and more user friendly.

From what I've read, Jackal, is people are in favor of both the GUIs. Which, I'm sure there is some way that they could offer both. Yeah, it maybe more work, but it covers both grounds.

What are the rumors of when the new interface starting?...I heard Christmas or around that time...is this a fact yet or still a rumor?
