Bob takes a deep breath, rubbing his heavily-bloodshot eyes before clearing his throat in the traditional manner. The growing crowd lower their inaudible murmurs and focussed their attention on the large afro presented before them,

"Good evening, everyone. I'm sure you all have a plethora of questions or perhaps even concerns so I'm going to attempt to clear up as much of this as I can. Obviously, we're in a state of rebuilding currently and that should be our primary focus right now but I feel it's only right that when something like this affects our entire countries operations, it's only right that it's addressed.

Honestly, it pains my heart that Godfather-Chairman Zoom isn't able to be stood alongside me addressing you all with this, this is something we agreed we would see through together and the number of fallen mobsters today is genuinely saddening. Obviously, it is accepted by us all upon the drop of our blood when we swear oath that part of our life is that we often meet a bloody or seemingly unjust end - there are few happy endings for mobsters as our kin all learn time and time again in this Thing of Ours. While none of us are happy to see the sort of events we saw here today, they are often not without good reason and necessity. We have been in a long period of peace and every single one of us as mobsters has been reaping the rewards of it. Many of us have thrived and reached heights of power and rank, we've kindled many good working and personal relationships and we've all had the chance to really enjoy the company of our friends and our associates - the important things if we're frank. Unfortunately, with such extended periods of peace, the more time that passes, the more people grow concerned and worried - and as such, the more people feel the need to try to control the environment around them rather than let our world continue in its comfortable and prospering state. So let's start at the beginning of today's affairs - the tragic and untimely loss of Godfather-Chairman ConstanceBonacieux and Don KingOfMeatPopsicles.

It quickly came to our attention that Don Elvis and his Consigliere Venra were the two shooters behind the attack. Venra went down immediately after their shot presumably to a failed protection attempt while Elvis sat secure with his entourage around him, unable to be touched - which lead to the only realistically sensible retaliation, the removal of his crew entirely. While the allied armies of NY, CH, LA and PH went ahead with that, ChiefKeef formerly of Waterfront, Seattle appeared in amongst the battle and opposed the allied Cities. ChiefKeef and his crew were added to the list of targets and you can all see how that unfolded by the books of recorded obituaries.

After Seattle was handled, I was approached by Godfather Zoom with news that Detroit were complicit in the turning of Elvis - to put it plainly, we soon heard from two reliable and trusted sources that Detroit were telling Elvis that PH had plans to remove him before he would have chance to rise to Godfather-Chairman. As someone who worked very close with Constance, who was out of town throughout the entirety of these accusations I might add, I actually know for fact Elvis was set to step up into the big shoes of Godfather-Chairman of Seattle; that was before he fell trap to the usual cries of paranoia. These things happen and while I wish Elvis had taken a moment to trust those who helped him find his feet in his new City, I don't think he's entirely to blame. Sometimes action like this does need to be taken, but I wish he'd stopped for a moment to verify the authenticity of what he'd heard because to put it plainly - the claims of PH moving against Seattle were bullshit... We've just spent the last how long trying to fill that City up...?"

Bob shakes his head before continuing.

"So... With Seattle wiped, Detroit's stance was seriously put into question. Zoom and I had to come to a decision on how we would proceed. We reached out to those most loyal to us and tried to establish a reliable connection to Detroit - someone who had a good tie to Joe Ligambi and could oppose the evidence of their involvement in Seattle's actions. If I'm honest, we struggled to find anyone that would oppose the claims made against Detroit. So that's two good sources and not a single person in the counsel of the allied Cities to suggest Detroit wouldn't act in such a way - it was on that the decision was made. With that, Zoom and I began putting into motion the movement against Detroit where we would intend to remove all Made+ ranks from all districts in Detroit.

Obviously, we were very aware that KennyRusso and South Side were descendants of Detroit and so the leaders who were brought in to focus on the Detroit's removal shared their concern and between us it was agreed South Side would not be touched for the time being and they'd be given a chance to react in their own manner. As feared, their response was retalliation - and honestly, I don't blame Kenny or any of those working under his authority. After all, they were only acting in defence of those who gave them the opportunities they were graced with - the same as the allied Cities were doing after Philadelphia's two huge losses to the hands of Seattle and the tongues of Detroit.

Again, as is obvious from the obituaries, many events unfolded and the war to remove Detroit and South Side took place. While I'm sure many of you will hold the opinion that this was unnecessary bloodshed (it wouldn't be a war without those unhappy with the outcome, of course), I can assure you that you can all rest calmer and safer in your beds tonight for this removal. Just like all of you, we hate to see the death of mobsters - especially so many! A lot of hard work and dedication goes into what we all do here and the unnecessary destruction of that is not something any of want to see or cause, no matter what rank we are, what position we hold or which corner of the world we swear loyalty to. However, as we all know and agree when we take to this life, sometimes this is the business that needs carrying out."

Bob pauses for a moment of breath, sighing before continuing once more,

"It's been a very busy day and I know many of you probably have questions that I've failed to answer here with this statement, but please be forgiving if they are not all immediately addressed. There is a lot of work to do and our time is currently best spent focussing on the rebuilding of our country and the housing of our homeless. I will be back to address the questions you may have in due time, but please be patient with me, we have lots happening right now, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Please all remember to take a moment to pay respects to those who risked their lives for their families, and especially those who paid the ultimate price by way of death. In times like this, you see who the true soldiers, the true loyalists and the truly honourable mobsters are. Thank you to everyone who came together against this threat - that is what Mafia is about - the bonds that are formed in these times of necessity."

The old MD listened to the man speaking and nodded his head.

"Now that explains the unusual amount of bodies in the morgue! So much work, so much to do. I must be ready."

He rushed off with an expression of both bliss and happiness in his features.
