Lost in Translation Started by: Erich on Apr 26, '19 01:50

Eric had been sitting in the bar for hours. It had been explained to him, painstakingly so, that his job for the day was to sit in the bar and watch. Watch for what? Nobody could seem to explain that part. Just to say, bad things. If bad things happened, then he was supposed to go to the HQ and tell them.

Well. Bad things happened.

A group of about four men had come into the bar, and they did not order drinks. To be fair, neither had Erich all day, but he was on the job, he would not drink on the job. So water and peanuts were his day. These men though? They were not here to watch as he was. They were here to break things. And so, they did. Eric watched as they started by dragging the bartender, a man who Eric had come to know as Roger, out from behind the bar, and then they got to smashing. One of the guys picked up a bottle at a time and gleefully smashed it on the ground. The other would line up a bunch of them on the bar and just run along hitting them with a bar stool. The bar was soaked, and one man was watching the bartender while the final one spoke to the rest of the bar and held open a bag.

Erich had see enough and made his way to the back door when he heard a gunshot go off. The wall to his left had a new hole in it, and he dropped into a full sprint back to the bank.

As he dove his way inside the back door of the HQ he looked around for any familiar face he could find.

"Jemand! Jemand! Roger's Bar! Böse Männer kamen mit Waffen."

Linval and Neil had their hands on their guns as they opened the Godmother's car door and allowed members of the Race Street Company Trust to exit the car.  Most everyone was excited to try Roger's Bar newest food: WAFFLES... but they didn't realize, this bar didn't have waffles.  It didn't have breakfast food at all... what it had lots of was trouble and unfortunately the warning from Erich was lost in translation.

"Okay guys, breakfast is on me!  Order whatever you want!"  Bella walked towards the door surrounded by associates and bodyguards.

Rat waited for everyone else to exit and he ran up to the door to hold it open for everyone to enter.

"I got the door peoples."

"Kein Frühstück! Böser Mann!"

Erich was continuing to yell into what felt like a brick wall of people. He looked around and picked up a rock then, hurling it toward the big window in the front of the building. With any luck there were still men inside. He rushed out in front of the Godmother then to put himself between her and the bar. He did not make it all the way to her before one of her bodyguards became a wall that he ran into.

"Du verstehst nicht! Sie wird verletzt werden!"

Amaryllis had gotten into one of the vehicles, sitting quietly. She was still trying to think of what the large German man had been trying to say. She hadn't quite enjoyed being dragged outside the door, it was hard enough to keep up with taller people because of their long legs. But being short and light on top of that made it seem like she could be dragged around like a rag doll almost.

Once the array of cars stopped, she went to poke her head out, noticing the Godmother getting out and walking towards the entrance, the man that had rat-like features already opening up the door. Two bodyguards were already standing in front of the godmother while the large man was yelling something in that different language of his again. She really didn't know what was being said, but the body language was strange. Looking around at the building, she frowned slightly.

"This place seems... a little weird... Are windows always broken like that?"

Looking around the place from the doorway.  Rat smelled the air and sighed.

"Um, I hate to say this to everyone, but I don't think that they have any waffles.  I only smell blood and beer.  And piss.  That's definitely piss."

He glances around.

"So should we go get donuts instead?"

Rat smiles broadly.

Bella looked at Erich and his panicked ranting and looked at the newly broken window with a sharp expression of disapproval.  It was while listening to both Rat_Smiley and Amaryllis_Sarantou that she became aware of the commotion going on inside.

"Son of -"  She muttered looking to Neil and Linval, both of whom she finally noticed were looking prepped for a fight.  She drew a breath and a smile slowly spread across her face.

Neil shook his head.  Linval cracked his neck by leaning it to the side in the extreme.  "The Wolf will be sad he missed this one, I think."  He chuckled.  "But if you wish to dance, Mrs. Byrne, Neil and I will do our best to keep up."

"Erich."  She said to him firmly, knowing she could not make him understand her but knowing the tone would make him stop panicking.  She simply gave him a nod and motioned towards the door expecting him and her people to follow.  Her guards' sidestepped Erich and made their way inside.  Bella, followed, allowing the men to enter the chaos first.

Inside, Roger was being given a terrible working over by one man, his friends were stealing bottles of alcohol and emptying the till.  Bella shook her head and spoke above the din, "This HAS to be the sloppiest shakedown I've ever seen."  Bella's voice cracked through the air like a boom of thunder.

One man, to his credit, dropped his gun instantly and ran towards the back door, seeming to recognize Bella.

"Option A, follow your wise friend's lead out the back door and never return to South Philly on pain of death.  Option B..."

"Listen Bitch-"  The leader stepped forward and mouthed off.

Neil was on him instantly and the man's gang, who apparently had no idea who they were facing off against, followed suit trying to engage Bella's crew.

"Oh... I was hoping you'd pick that option."  Bella said balling up her fist.  She hoped she still remembered how to do this, it had been a VERY long while.
