I'm looking for some thrill seekers to test our racing concept. Its changed a little since my last thread so I want to keep it separate. Intro For those that remember the boxing, we developed a system that allowed two users to square off against each other by submitting damage/defense points to a referee. The Ref would then narrate the result of the match up over a number of rounds until there was a winner. We had a tournament across the 7 cities, there was lots of gambling and generally everyone enjoyed themselves. This system works a little differently and a neat addition is that multiple users can be involved in a single race. Preparation You'll need a car. For the first few races we'll use pre-generated ones, though we have potential to build/buy better ones in the future or upgrade them. All data on the cars will be held be myself. The Mechanics Stats The cars have 4 Stats:
These values pair up to decide on the cars Skills Skills/Track Sections The cars have 6 Skills which are used against the track sections of the same name.
Each of these has a value determined by the Stats. A typical "turn" would look like this:
Driver Values Once you register as a driver you can select three traits which can be used as wildcards to boost your performance mid-race. Once used, the traits effect your base stats, increasing one while reducing others. Each Driver gets three and each can be used once each race.
Effects last 2 turns, so be prepared for a potential knockback on the next section of track if it isn't suited to the trait you've used. Playing The outcome of a race dependent on the stats of the players car vs the stat of the given section of track they are on. I have a matrix which determines the number you need to roll greater than to "win" the value of that track. Objective is to finish the race with the most points. Dice bets will be issued by myself and the last digit of the roll recorded as your value. Winning Design of both the boxing and the racing has been focused on not leaving it totally down to luck. The edge you will have over other players is:
I welcome any all suggestions/feedback on this. Aim is to give people something to do, not to make money. Any questions or gaping holes you can see, comment here so I can keep adjusting this. Thanks! |

What is the time frame for which you need volunteers? For a couple of hours today, or available all weekend? Something else? |

As and when I have people available to be honest. Even in a four person race we can let it run over a week if need be, there's no need to complete these things within a certain time. Of course it would be great to do it at one, but I've prepared it to be not time dependent. |
