He had sat tapping his finger on his desk the tears still fresh in his eyes from losing someone so near and dear to him.   He knew he could see money lost or people not working as he rolled the files round in front of him.   Sliding all into a briefcase he looked at his watch as his stomach twisted and ached from the loss.  His sullen look, showed his mood as he walked down to the corridor to the vault and grabbing another briefcase.   Slowly walking to the entrance he looked to the phone as he spun the rotary round.   

"Meet me at Pasta Speciale please one hour"

Wandering into the South Side as any past the shops and nodded to people almost an anonymous figure in the crowd.   He dressed simply, no fast cars or gambling habits, he was an oddity for a man in this line of business.   Looking over the restaurant, he smiled as he knew the owner well, before entering.

"I booked a table for two, I am expecting company soon, I will take a glass of wine when waiting if possible"

Watching as Nicholas approached he pushed both briefcases to his side of the table.   As he leaned towards he looked him in the eyes.

"We don't stop what we are doing when we learn about the losses we suffer along the way.   We use them to give us strength for the decisions of the future.   South Side cannot stop its plans to grow or build or succeed.   I expect you to build, grind, succeed while taking on the memories of your former boss.  Do it as a tribute to yourself, Sabrina and those who stand beside you each day"

Flicking through the menu, he requested a Sab's special as he sipped the glass one more time.

"The one case contains some funds, the others some candidates to join you.    Find something to eat, as a peaceful meal will become an oddity with your new workload"

He knew would be over the papers by the end of the day, but he looked forward to seeing Nicholas as a new Crew Leader in SouthSide.

 

It was with a heavy heart that PiusXIII attended the soap box announcement. A great woman was lost today, he could see how hard it was on her leader, and Godfather as well as he quickly scrambled to find a new leader to fill the void. A young man named Nicholas was to take the reigns and re house those that recently found themselves homeless.

It's a sad day for not just South Side but anyone that's had the pleasure of speaking with Sabrina and knowing her. Nicholas you have big shoes to fill but I'm sure with the guidance of Angelo_Lagusa you will meet and hopefully even surpass expectations.
