After sending Angelo out on his own to Chicago, Manhattan had been quiet but people had still been coming and crews were filling up rapidly Heston sat in his office looking at the resumes before him. “My right hand would be an obvious choice but she is far to valuable at the moment I don’t think I can afford to lose her for now.” The next sheet of paper provide by Don Books looked promising “hmm his father was a good man he had some clout about him” Heston picked up the phone and spoke to his head body chef “yeah that guy from Manhattan he will do see if you can find him and bring him here he will be near one of the casino’s doing business” Heston put the phone back into the cradle and waited ..... It didn’t take long before there was a knock on the door “Enter” Heston called out Don MarkHanna and Hardgore_Alice entered the ornate office to see the “chef” sat there in his pristine whites .... “So Don MarkHanna there is an open spot just down the block and I was wondering if it would be something you would be interested in?” |

"I will certainly do my best to handle this responsibility in Alice's stead," MarkHanna replied as he stood next to Alice and Books, "Thanks Books for your recommendation and thank you Godfather Heston for this enormous opportunity. The pride I have to be from this place is inexplicable. Forever Elite, I will call my house 'Standard & Poor' and our focus will be on business potential and growth." A map of Manhattan was attached to the east wall. A red circle is visible, marking the location of Mark's new HQ. "I think that location will do quite nicely. I'll go get started on the renovation and get with my contacts in that neighborhood," MarkHanna bowed in respect to the Godfather of Manhattan, Don Books, and Alice as he walked out of the intricate office. Days later, with renovations complete, MarkHanna stood in the middle of the lobby floor of Standard & Poor. The movers were working steady, carrying couches, desks, and filing cabinets into the building. They brought bookshelves and entire pallets of financial research material. Mark had a couple of meetings within the hour so he didn't have time to organize the furniture. The brokerage office of S&P put out word that they were looking for potential candidates to join the team just recently and there were already some people who had applied for position. Mark walked to his office near the lobby, sat at the desk, and lit a small cigar as he waited for his associates to arrive for the meetings. |
