Remus it's your time Started by: Marcus on Dec 11, '10 21:45

It hadn't been long sense Godfather Roman and Don Marcus sat in this very same study, drinking this very same drink and waiting on someone again. This time around, it wasn't planned, it hadn't been set up and all though the meeting would bring forth new things, new possibilities and new changes a heavy gloom filled the air.

Myrddin was a good man and it will be hard to fill that spot in Chicago, but I feel very good about this decision.

Marcus said to his Godfather who sat across from him. Roman nodded in agreement and just then there was a knock on the door.

Come in.

Marcus's voice a bit louder then normal so it'd penetrate through those heavy heave oak doors. Moments later, the latch clicked and the door was opened. In stepped Remus_Lupin, his shaggy hair streaked with gray falling into his eyes. He shook it away out of his vision and closed the door behind him.

"You wanted to see me?"

He asked cautiously. Marcus had called upon Remus earlier that morning and had probably woke the man up from his slumber, but Remus sounded alert on the phone. He had probably not slept much with the death of Myrddin so close for comfort.

Yes, take a seat.

Marcus gestured towards the only open chair, which sat at the front of the coffee table. Remus had Roman on his right and Marcus on his left, but before Marcus took his seat again he poured Remus a drink and gave it to the man.

Godfather Roman and I appreciate all the hard work you've done for this city and how you held it together during the war even after your crew leader and best friend was selfishly taken from all of us.

Marcus paused as Roman leaned over in his chair to grab a bag that sat next to it.

With all your hard work and dedication we'd like to offer you the reigns of Myrddin's head quarters. Some may say we are rushing this, that we haven't even let the grieving grieve over the late Myrddin, but there is no time like now. There are two options one has when a close one dies, to grieve, stall and damage the flow of life by not being able to move on. The other choice, one we would rather take, is to celebrate the life that has passed, to move forward and take the opportunity to start fresh.

Marcus smiled over at Remus as Roman handed him the bag. Remus took the bag gently from his Godfather and opened it. Stun surfaced quickly to his scarred face and then a smile. This was really happening and he was going to be apart of it.

That money will help you get started.

Remus looked up at Marcus and then to Roman, who gave him the nod. Remus sat with a large smile plastered upon his lips, speechless at the opportunity he had just received.

You don't have to say anything, we already know you will a great job. Congratulations Remus, you deserve this.

Katie heard about the news as she was just in the middle of a bank robbery. As each of the criminals ran out of the Bank of Chicago with a large bag full of cash trailing behind them, loose bills slipping out into the wind, towards a get away car. The driver spilled the news, said he heard it from a guy who sold heroin for a good price down the road. Katie cocked her head at the driver wondering why he was talking to some dope man instead of waiting patiently in the car, but she didn't have time to hear an answer. This was excellent news and she knew she needed to congratulate Remus right away.

I'm going to take a cab downtown, I have some business to take care of.

She looked down at the bag of dough she held and tossed it into the car.

Keep it and get out of here quick, I can already hear the sirens piercing through the city.

With that Katie slammed the door shut and watched the car speed down the road. She then stood on the curb and hailed down a cab. The driver knew the address Katie had given him and made the drive in a timely pace. She gave him a few twenties for the fare before exiting the vehicle.

Katie approached the crowd where the auth had been given and found her way to Remus, she grinned at him, completely happy that he had been given the reigns to Myrddin's crew and a chance to start his own family.

Congratulations Mr. Lupin! I can't think of a better person to be offered such a position.

Katana smiled as she walked past what is now Remus's HQ. Knowing that he would take care of it very well.

Congrats Mr.Lupin. Just like Katie I can't think of a better person to take over. I know you will do well.

Walking out of a nearby bar Se7ven looks across the street to the new building.

Ah, great, live long and do this city great things, your position is well deserved.

A nearby bum hears him mumbling and looks at him with wide eyes.

Se7ven throws him a coin and dons his fedora, walking off into an alleyway.

Iestyn was smiling as he knew that his father would be so proud of Remus right now. He was a good friend to Llywelyn and Iestyn hoped that Remus and he would be able to continue that friendship. He also knew, based off his father's journals, that Remus would do well as crew leader.

Congrats, Remus!! So happy to be working under you.

It's a bit late. But congratulations. Losing a Crew Leader in our city is a great loss but I'm sure you will do a great job in filling his shoes and helping mold the city of

Sin adds to the applause, a smile curling at the corners of his lips as he heard the news of the upcoming Head Quarters to be built.

Congratulations! Best of luck!

With that he'd offer a wave before side-stepping and continuing off onto his way to whatever business needing tending!
