After a long day of work Jordan walked into her apartment and threw her keys on the kitchen counter. She tried to walk past the calendar on the wall, but it seemed to scream out to get her attention. Jordan shook her head as she looked at it. She knew what day it was and what she had to do tonight. All day long she dreaded it. A few days ago Jordan bought raffle tickets during the the Chicago Business Festival. She won a date with TheCaptain, but she didn't feel like a winner. She was scared she would be fish food if Johnny found out about her going out on a date with another man. Buying five hundred thousand dollars worth of tickets in the raffle made Jordan feel stupid, but at the time she thought Johnny was dating Belle behind her back. Jordan flew off the handle and bought the raffle tickets. She didn't expect to win. She also didn't expect to find out Johnny wasn't dating Belle. Pericolo had showed her photos of Johnny and Belle, but Belle told Jordan the photos were fake. She insisted her and Johnny were only friends. Jordan was so confused she didn't know what to think. The complications with her relationship sometimes made her envy single people. Jordan tried to break the date with TheCaptain, but he insisted on honoring the commitment he made. He probably just wants to steal me away from Johnny, Jordan thought grimly. She didn't know how she would be able to hide the date from Johnny if she had to spend all evening pushing TheCaptain's wandering hands away. Fuck! I need to figure out a way to get through tonight without killing TheCaptain or getting myself killed. Talking out loud to herself didn't help. Jordan looked at her watch and realized TheCaptain would be picking her up in one hour. Suddenly she remembered something she heard earlier that day in the HQ. Shedao and Pericolo were planning on going out tonight. Jordan rushed across the room to the phone and called Pericolo, but there was no answer on the other end. Jordan slammed the phone down and opened her purse to frantically look for Shedao's phone number. She was relieved when she found it, dialed the number and heard Shedao answer after the first ring. Hi Shedao, this is Jordan. I heard you have a date with Peri tonight. TheCaptain and I are going out tonight too. Do you mind if the four of us meet for dinner and make it a double date? |

SuperSao is standing at a street corner and is on one of the pay phones. It's hard to tell who he's talking to for a few minutes. Yeah I am outside her apartment right now, she's on the phone but I think they're leaving soon. SuperSao listens for a few minutes before responding. Alright Belle, I will call you when she leaves. Sao hangs up the phone and goes and sits in his car. He grabs his binoculars and looks up into Jordan's window and sees that she is walking into her room and is semi-undressing as she walks towards the room. She shuts the door and Sao puts down his binoculars. Okay, she's getting ready. TheCaptain should be coming soon. I kind of feel bad spying on Jordan, she's beautiful and a great friend, but hey...I have to make money somehow. Sao picks up a beer and pops it open and waits for Jordan to get ready |

Shedao paces restlessly in the foyer of his flat, then he suddenly glances at the clock on the wall. 7:23. Damn! it seemed like hours ago that it had read 7:22. What's the matter with me, eh? I've killed men before. I've ripped off banks in broad daylight. I even helped Jordan rip off that casino! But one little date has me more shaken up then my first "enforcement" job? What kind of man am I?! Why did I have to go and buy those tickets? The one time I was EXPECTING to lose! Good lord, I can do anything the Boss asks me to do, but one little date... Shedao jumped, startled, when the phone rang. he got to the phone on the other side of the room after the first ring. Oh, hi Jordan. Yeah, I won the raffle. Oh? I thought I had heard you had won the other half. No, I don't think it should be a problem. I was thinking O'Shea's, is that alright with you two? Great! We'll meet you there then. Okay, bye. Now this was an interesting development, but certainly not unwelcome. Now with other people there, Shedao is more relaxed. He glances at the clock. 7:25. Perfect. Time to go get Pericolo. |

Just getting out of the shower, The Captain stands, looking at himself in the mirror. He sees the same beautiful man he's always seen, but a worried look lies over his face. At first this whole raffle for a date thing sounded great for The Captain. Got him more of the attention he so loves, and gave him the pleasure of being with a lady for the night, without actually having to go out looking for one...not that he usually has to anyway. Things just went downhill though. First, only one person even bothered to try to win a date with The Captain. That person is a wonderful lady, but she's also JohnnyAxe's lady. He got word that the only reason she wanted to win a date, was because she suspected Johnny of cheating. She tried breaking the date off, but The Captain couldn't let her do that. It was a contest, and she won it. He'd feel like he was going back on his word, should they not go through with the date. Still...that didn't make him feel any better about it. The last thing The Captain needed was JohnnyAxe, trying to kill his ass. On top of things, even though he agreed to do the date raffle, there was another girl he was crushing on hard. He'd never felt this way about any girl before, and now he's feeling bad about going on a date with a girl other than her. Still...it had to be done. The Captain throws his shirt, and sport jacket on, throws on some cologne, and looks at himself in the mirror one last time, putting on his shades while doing so. Its not your fault that you're this damn sexy man...gotta take the good with the bad. The Captain exits his house, grabbing the roses from the counter that he bought for his date, and locking the door behind him. Upon getting to his car, he opens the door, starts it up it, and looks in the rear-view mirror, checking his hair one final time. After playing with it for awhile, he's finally happy and pulls off onto the road. The Captain takes a long way, wanting the extra time to collect his thoughts, and calm himself down. He opens the window and lets the wind blow through his hair. "Fuck", he says to himself. "I'm gonna have to fix my hair again...oh well, I need the air." After a brief fifteen minute ride, which seemed like a lifetime to him, he pulls up in front of Jordan's apartment, and parks. Looking in the rear-mirror, he fixes his hair yet again, and hopes this truly is the final time he has to do it. He contemplates just driving away and and forgetting the raffle ever happened, but he realized that could have just as bad of a result, and he could never live with himself after. After deciding that he has to go through with the date, he gives the horn a soft hit, unlocks the passenger-side door, and waits for Jordan. Its time...I just hope this isn't a date with death... |

The car horn startled Jordan. She jumped up off her couch and grabbed her gun. She hoped she wouldn't need to use it tonight, but always took it out with her just in case. When she walked outside she waved at TheCaptain sitting in his car. She couldn't help noticing how handsome and well groomed he looked. He was easy on the eyes, but not her type. Jordan preferred the rugged looks of her boyfriend, JohnnyAxe. As TheCaptain got out of the car and walked around it to open the passenger side door for Jordan she glanced at the corner and saw SuperSao standing near a phone booth. She was glad he was there. She had been looking for him all day, but heard he was busy doing a job for Belle. Jordan waved at him to get his attention then smiled at The Captain who was standing next to his car with the door open waiting for her. Excuse me for a moment. I have to talk to my associate about something. Jordan met SuperSao halfway down the block. He looked nervous about something, but Jordan didn't have time to ask him what was wrong. She opened her purse and gave him a handful of money. I have a job for you to do, spy on Belle for me. Tell me if she spends any time with Johnny. I want to know when, where and what they talk about. I'll be at O'Shea's for the next few hours if you have anything to report to me tonight. SuperSao nodded and took the money. Jordan turned around and walked back to TheCaptain's car. She got in and he closed the door. Jordan didn't want him to be so nice to her, but realized him being a gentleman was better than him pouncing on her. We have reservations at O'Shea's. Shedao and Peri will be joining us there for dinner. They drove to the restaurant chatting about the weather and any other small talk Jordan could think of to make the time pass by faster. When TheCaptain stopped the car in front of O'Shea's a black car parked across the street caught Jordan's attention. A few men were sitting in it, but she couldn't get a good look at them before a valet opened the car door for her to get out. TheCaptain stood next to the car holding his arm out for her. Jordan put her hand on his arm as her suspicions grew about the men in the car across the street. She smiled at TheCaptain and spoke to him quietly about it. Before we walk inside take a look across the street at the black car. Do you recognize the men sitting in it? |

The Captain put his car in park, shut it off, and watched suspiciously, as Jordan went to talk to her "associate". "Was Johnny already planning something?" thoughts began racing through The Captain's mind. "Would Jordan really aid in an attempt to kill him? Who knows, a jilted lover may do anything to get the attention of the one they love." He reached down under his seat, and grabbed the gun planted there. He never carried a gun on himself on a date. But he always kept one under his seat. Its just plain uncouth to bring carry a gun on you on a regular date, but there had to be one kept near, in case shit hit the fan. In this case, it looked like shit might hit the fan. The Captain put the gun in the side holster that he always kept strapped on, even when he didn't have a gun to carry in it. Just as he put the gun away, Jordan got into the car. He greeted her with the roses, and his trademark wink, and then started up the car. As he was about to pull out he heard Jordan mention "Peri" and he quickly looked to the rear-view mirror, and started fixing his hair. Realizing what he was doing, he quickly regained his composure, and put his hands back on the wheel, pulling back out onto the road. Oh...yea that'd be great...The Captain's hair looks fine right? What's The Captain saying, it doesn't look fine, it looks great. O'Shea's though? Great choice. The Captain's never been there. This should be fun. The Captain continued down the road, keeping up the small talk with Jordan. As they pulled up in front of O'Shea's, The Captain stopped the car and they both got out. The Captain noticed the car parked across the street and started getting suspicious, but he figured a way to play it off, like he had no idea what could be going on. As The Captain expected, Jordan pointed out the car to him. He pretended to casually look over at it, like he had just noticed it now. Ehhh...The Captain doesn't exactly recognize them...but he's been in many similar situations before. Let's just say...The Captain's broken up his fair share of happy homes. The Captain says with a wink and a shrug. |

Damnit! Pericolo said as she hung up the payphone at the airport. A women next to her pulled her child closer to herself and Pericolo quickly apologized for her language. She walked away from the scene holding her head down and telling herself to keep her cool. I need the largest glass of water you have. She said as soon as she approached the airport bar. Whoever decided to put bars into airports was a saint. She turned to her associate, ColinDoyle. He had traveled with her to New Orleans to drop of some drugs for a mardi gras party. Why did I think it'd be a good idea to party a little, miss our flight and try to kill the buzz that's playing around with my head now? Pericolo asked him but turned away before he could answer. Usually she never joined in on the fun of selling and doing drugs, but it must have just been the excitement of the air, the beads, the floats, the masks. Either way Pericolo was coming down for a coke high and it wasn't going so well. She downed the water and looked back at Colin who had a strange expression on his face. You think I'm crazy don't you? Colin started to reply, but Pericolo cut him off shaking her head. No, don't answer that, It's just one of those days. Grab your bag, we've gotta grab a cab downtown. She hurried Colin towards the exit and into a cab. The plan was to fly to New Orleans early afternoon, drop the drugs and then fly back giving her enough time to drop off Colin at his house and then go home and freshen up before her date with Shedao. She had hoped she'd be able to get ahold of him from the airport, letting him know she'd meet him at the restaurant. Before that phone call she had her roomate tell Shedao, if he showed up at her house, to let him know that plans had changed. Pericolo looked down at her watch and realized she would have no time to let Colin off at his house. Colin you like food right? |

Colin sits down on chair at the bar and orders something hard to cure his jitters. It had been a very long night. It was needed though, He had not done anything like that since the last time he was in jail, since then he had been a straight as an arrow. He had gotten caught up in a drug deal, and ever since, has not used himself, its all strictly business. As he gets his drink Pericolo returns from the phone and starts talking nonsense to him. Then as she is ushering him towards a cab asks if He likes food "Of course he likes food" he thought to himself, "Who doesn't". Colin opens the door for Pericolo and she gets into the cab, he then walks around and gets in next to her As he sits down her hears Peri telling the Cab driver that we are going to O'Shea's Well last night was fun, we should definitely do that again sometime. But I thought we were gonna drop me off at home before we went out tonight? Im a little worn on and need a rest. |

As Jordan and TheCaptain walked into O'Shea's the men in the car across the street were making plans to rob the restaurant. In the front of the car were two brothers, Billy and Bobby. In the back was their cousin, Jimmy. He was the ring leader of the trio's recent crime spree in Chicago. They weren't happy with the small amount of money they got from snatching purses and robbing 7-11 stores. They hoped the four star restaurant, O'Shea's would be a bigger score for them. Jimmy, can I shoot someone this time? Sitting in the front passenger seat Billy was eager to get the job started. He was trying to load bullets in a gun, but they wouldn't fit. God damn it, Bobby! You bought the wrong fucking bullets again. Give me that damn thing. Jimmy leaned forward from the back seat and took the gun from Billy. No, you can't shoot anyone. Just point the gun at people and tell 'em to give you their money and jewelry or you'll shoot. But we ain't got no bullets! Billy protested and reached over to smack his brother, Bobby on the back of the head. Next time I'm in charge of gettin' the bullets. Shut the fuck up, Billy! We don't need any god damn bullets. Jimmy was getting pissed off at his cousin. Just point the fucking gun at people and threaten to shoot 'em. They won't know there ain't no god damn bullets in the gun. While they were making their plans Jordan and TheCaptain were waiting for Shedao and Pericolo to arrive. They were sitting near the bar having drinks. Jordan was just about to ask TheCaptain how business was when she noticed one of Johnny's bodyguards walk in the restaurant with his girlfriend. Jordan didn't want him to see her. It's a little stuffy in here, Captain. Let's go outside for some fresh air. TheCaptain nodded to agree with her suggestion. They picked up their drinks and walked through the restaurant then out the door that lead to the back alley. Jordan wished the night was over already. She felt like she was dodging bullets when they escaped from Johnny's bodyguard seeing them. Her hands were shaking as she reached in her purse for her pack of cigarettes. When she opened the pack she noticed a joint. She smiled and felt like she struck gold. Hey Capt, do you have a lighter? |

Yea I agree, Jordan. We got all night to sit inside, might as well enjoy the night air. The Captain finished his current Dr. Pepper, and ordered a new one, before following Jordan outside. "They seem to really have this planned...outside for some fresh air?" The Captain thought to himself. "Is this where I'm gonna die?" he checked for his gun to make sure it was still there. Satisfied that it was, he continued following Jordan. "If I die tonight...I won't be the only one..." Oh, yea The Captain has a lighter, one sec...The Captain digs through his pockets, after a few minutes he reveals a lighter and hands it to Jordan. Its a beautiful night tonight. Perfect night for a date. |

Pericolo pulled at her collar, undoing a few buttons and using her hand as a fan. Five minutes down the road she cranked the window handle letting in the Chicago winter chill. She could see Colin start to shiver, but she put up her hand as he started to protest against the window being down. Not now Colin, I'm sorry. Colin gave a sigh as the cab bounced down the road and past his street. Pericolo had no explanation to her thought process tonight. Yes, Colin could have taken his own cab home from the airport. Yes, the cab driver could have just swung a quick right back there and dropped him off. None of these things felt right though, if Shedao didn't show up at the restaurant, Pericolo's gut told her she'd be very happy dragging Colin along. She sucked in a deep breath of cool air and pulled her face away from the window. Colin I know your tired, but you can't go to sleep on an empty stomach. Come have dinner with me, then I'll drop you off. He nodded his head, the idea of free dinner slipping into his thoughts letting a smile reach his lips. Suddenly Pericolo was thrown into the grate that seperated the passengers from the driver. The car came to a dead stop and she heard Colin announce that they had arrived. Making sure all her face was still in place, Pericolo yelled a few dirty words at the driver and threw a little less then she owed him through the pay slot. As she stepped out of the cab her heal caught on the interior of the car and Pericolo ended up head over heals on the pavement. A hand was offered to her and she took it not caring who's it was, but embarrased when she saw the face. Hey Captain, Jordan. How's it going? She offered the words up as cooly as possible, but the looks on their faces told her they weren't taking it. Jordan pointed a finger at Colin and mouthed 'Who is that?'. All Pericolo could do was stand on the corner, her hair wild, make-up smeared and clutching her purse. She was just about ready for someone to pull up and ask her how much. She gave Jordan a shrug while pulling out her compact mirror. Fixing herself up as best as possible she looked around the street. Where's Shedao? |

Colin chuckles a little as he watched Pericolo fix herself up yet again, maybe they should have taken it a little easier the night before, she still has not recovered fully. As he is standing there he notices the odd looks he is getting and sticks his hand out to TheCaptain to introduce himself Hello Im Colin, Pericolo here is an associate of mine. As he is shaking hands with TheCaptain, he glances over and smiles at Jordan, and says a polite hello. Well Its a bit chilly outside shall we go in and get a table, or are we still waiting for more people to arrive? |

You alright Peri? You gotta be more careful, don't wanna hurt that pretty face of yours. The Captain said with a wink. Dunno where Shedao is. Hasn't showed up yet. Hope he gets here soon though, The Captain's starved. The Captain looked at Peri as she fixed herself up a bit. She looked like she'd been to hell and back in the span of a day. Still, there was something about her that shone through the wild hair, and the smudged makeup. Maybe that was what made him feel for her, what he never felt for any other girl. After staring for at least a few minutes, he snapped himself out of it. "You aren't on a date with her" he thought to himself. "Stop ogling, you look like an idiot." After snapping out of his trance, he realized that his own hair might be a mess, and pulled out his own mirror, fixing it up. Is my hair ok? After putting his mirror away, he noticed Colin offering his hand, and took it in a firm handshake. The Captain at your service! Nice to meet ya, Colin. Whichever you and the ladies prefer. The Captain's fine with standing out here, and he's fine with going inside. Shedao should be able to find us either way. |
