:Kramer is furious. First, the police imprisoned his friend, IsaacBlack, for no good reason. Then, the warden gave Kramer a hard time when he visited the jail to release his friend. Lastly, they interrupted his good time while he was visiting a cathouse in Chicago. Not only that, but he actually watched as the cops needlessly shot an innocent fleeing gangster. It was time for Kramer to start cracking heads a little bit and remind the police of who they REALLY worked for: “Selatcia, I could use a hand, if you’re available.” Kramer spoke to his friend through the phone. “Think you could you meet me in Philly a little later? I’ve got a friend down there who I know would love to give us a hand. Yeah. The usual place.” :Kramer hung up and immediately dialed again: “Yeah, Ari? Remember that thing we were talking about last night? I’d like to get together and talk about it today, if you’re available. I figure we can brainstorm a little bit with another friend of mine. Yeah, that’s right. We’ll come meet you down in your neck of the woods. I’ll wire you an address.” :Kramer hung up, lit a cigar, and headed off towards the train station. He was satisfied with the team he had put together. One would provide an intimidation factor; the other, the linguistic and negotiation skills that they would need. He would use the train ride to come up with a more detailed plan, but didn’t see how they could fail with such a skilled party: |

Is there more to come, you've created quite some suspense and un-answered questions. I hope to hear more. |

:Kramer was optimistic following his meeting with his two team members. Their plan seemed air-tight. Kramer had extracted the names of several unenlightened cops from Isaac’s dossier, and then used his connections within the force to figure out when and where those officers’ beats normally coincided. It would take good timing to ensure that they encountered both of the officers that they wanted to impress upon: :The three had ridden back up in to New York, and Kramer had just one more favor to ask: “Yeah, Dottie?” he spoke once again in to the phone. “Listen, I’m uptown with Selatcia and AriGold. I need a quick favor. I want you to call the cops.” :He paused for her inevitable objection, and laughed: “Yeah, yeah, I know. Ridiculous, right? Just trust me. I don’t care what you tell ‘em. Just make sure they come down here right away. ….Yeah, don’t worry about it. We’ll be expecting them. Thanks. It’s a restaurant at 112th and Broadway.” :Kramer laughed and thanked her again, and hung up. He then turned to the two very different men, looking funny seated side-by-side at the bar of the empty restaurant: “Welp, they should be here any minute. You boys ready?” |

Walking into a restaraunt on 112th and Broadway, JackSparrow asks for a beer from the bar and takes a seat. He notices the men sat accross the room from him, they look slightly twitchy. Drinking half his beer, JackSparrow stands up and walk into the toilet, he knows something exciting is about to happen. |

:Kramer waits for Mr. Sparrow to finish his drink, then approaches him: "I hope that you don't take offense, this, sir, but I'm afraid that I'm going to have to ask you to leave. You must believe me when I say that it's nothing personal. We just have a kind of a thing going on here, and we're going to need this place empty in a few minutes." :Kramer then ushers JackSparrow and the bartender out the front door: "Whoops," he says as he flips the sign on the front door to 'Closed.' "Slight oversight, there." |

:Kramer can tell from his yelling and loud breathing that Ari is drunk, and it annoys him: Maybe this will be more complicated than I first thought, he thinks to himself. I'm glad that I resisted the urge, earlier, to take a drink and calm my own nerves. |

Selatcia lets his silence answer Ari's question. He turns to Cosmo_Kramer and nods. He maintains his composure despite the rush of adreneline he feels from what he knows is about to go down. He pulls a polished revolver from his breast pocket. Just cleaned it. I think tonight is as good enough time as any to dirty it up again. |

:When the three least expected it, the cops knocked on the door. Selatcia quickly hid his weapon, and the three awkwardly turned to face the three officers outside the glass store-front. The cops tried the door, but Kramer had locked it after kicking JackSparrow out. Kramer, Selatcia, and AriGold looked at each other, then Ari stumbled over to the door, and popped the lock: "Officers," Ari said, "Thank God you're here. I've...I mean, we've got a problem. And we need your help." :The officers waited and asked their predictable questions as Ari spun them a tale about a cook who had robbed them and run out the back with their money: "I'm confused," said the tallest cop. "We were called here about a drunken streaker. I don't see anyone naked around here. Sir," he addressed Kramer for the first time. "Is this man giving you guys trouble?" He gestured towards Ari. :Dottie must have told the cops something about a streaker in the restaurant. While the cops wasted time talking nonsense with the other two, Selatica silently side-stepped behind them. Kramer convinced them that there was some confusion. That Ari was drunk, and had made a mistake, and that the officers should check the kitchen in the back for the cook, who had robbed them. Just as they had kicked open the double-hinged door leading to the back, Selatcia grabbed the two officers in the rear by their collars and slammed them forward, onto their noses. Ari and Kramer tackled the tallest one, who had taken the lead: :After disarming them, Selatcia guarded them while Ari and Kramer tied two of them up, using the best knots they could collectively form. The third, they recognized as a friendly cop--one who had been bought and who was known to be cooperative. They kept his weapon, but let him stand free: "You--you've got to let us go!" the tallest officer said from his bound position. "No........... You are ours, for now." Selatcia responded. |

:But the cops just sat there with their heads hanging low. Officer Ned didn't even have the gus to puff his cigarette, and it smoked, limp, in the corner of his mouth. Kramer stepped forward, and Ari dropped back alongside Selatcia, who remained, standing tall and straight along the stove: "Gentlemen," Kramer said. "I will ask that you look at me when I am addressing you." Ned looked up, but Malone did not, so Kramer reached over and freed his wallet from his back pocket. He removed his ID. "Officer Henry Malone. 5'9. Green eyes. Born June 5th, 1894. You don't say? Mine's the 6th. 816 99th Avenue. Apartment 6B. You got a wife up there, Mr. Malone? I'm sure a handsome man like yourself does. Any kids? I'll bet they're beautiful. Ah, I see that you're an organ donor." :Malone looked up: "Thank you," Kramer continued. "Now look, fellas. The truth about this whole matter is that it's a misunderstanding. You guys don't understand how things work around here, so we've called you down here today to speak to you about it a little bit. I apologize for our techniques. We're typically not violent men. But I'm sure that you can understand that we get frustrated, from time to time, when others interfere with our business. It's screwing with our livelihood, you see? We're just trying to feed our families, like anyone else." :Malone snorted: "I can understand your confusion, Mr. Malone. It's all very mysterious, from the exterior. But you'd be surprised how many of your colleagues have an understanding with us. Your warden...detectives...even the commissioner and some FBN agents are frequently cooperative. And I can assure you, we can be very cooperative, ourselves." :The third officer, Mr. Crepinski, who was standing free and had returned after we asked him to leave for a few minutes while Selatcia did his thing, nodded: "It's true," he said. "Mr. Kramer nearly pays my rent with all of his bribes. And I have more cigarettes than I can smoke. Hell, Don Whatsername practically built that new school downtown with all of her contributions to the mayor's community fund. You'd be surprised how much good can come from turning a blind eye to just a little bad, now and then, fellas." :Ned nodded, but Malone just looked at him and shook his head. Ari stepped forward, as if to give him a smack, but Kramer stuck his arm out to stop him, and shook his head, looking at the two cops, all the while: "It is the way things are, Mr. Malone." Kramer said. "And you are going to have to learn to deal with it. Or you may find yourself at the bottom of the East River. I've swam the East River, Mr. Malone, and, trust me, it's a VERY smelly place to be. Not pleasant in the least. Or, worse yet, maybe something could happen to Mrs. Malone, and we LEAVE you to live with the guilt. Could you live with that guilt, Mr. Malone? That your family suffered because you couldn't take some money, keep quiet, and let us feed our own families?" :Malone shook his head, and lowered it once again: "Gentlemen," Kramer said, brushing his hands over one another several times, as if ridding them of crumbs. "I believe we've had our breakthrough." |

:Kramer leaned forward and stuffed a wad of bills in the breast pocket of each of the men who were tied up. He then walked back to Mr. Crepinski and handed him a larger wad: "I'll leave you to untie your friends, mate." Kramer said. "I think they get the picture, but talk to them, if you need to. Say whatever you need to say to keep us all safe, and don't be afraid to send for me if anybody needs a little reminder." :Selatcia cracked his knuckles: "Welp, I guess we'd better be off," Kramer said. "I suppose I'll see you gentlemen around." :Kramer tipped his hat at the cops and the three gangsters walked out the front door. Kramer held it for the other two men, and flipped the "open/closed" sign to "open" before stepping out. The bartender, who was sitting on a bench down the block, stood when he saw them exit: "It's all yours, bud." Kramer said, cheerfully handing him a couple bills. |
