Okay so I have strayed very far from my usual antics and have been very serious in all of my posts, but I feel in the outside forum I can get away with going: FUCK YES. A DAY DEDICATED TO THE EATING OF PANCAKES. BIG YAYZ ALL ROUND! I shall be popping on and off to make myself some delicious cakes of the pan variety shortly. In the mean time I shall put 3 questions to you all, which are as follows: 1) Are you going to be having pancakes? 2) If not: are you fucking insane?! 3) If yes: what do you usually have on/with your pancake goodness? NOTE (1): I understand that this day was not created for the sole purpose of pancake eating. It's actually Shrove Tuesday, and if you're a Christian you should be thinking of Lent and fasting etc etc. NOTE (2): Apparently this practice is only for the UK, Ireland and Australia. How sad. Mardi Gras does sound kind of interesting, although you are blatantly all missing out on the joy of pancakes. |

I have since forgotten the wonders of pancake day after I moved out of my parents house. Why? Because i can't cook them and just end up with a sort of eggy mess in the pan. Though favorite pancake fillings are ice cream, lemon juice and sugar. Rolled up, knife and fork, three seconds later, next please! |

Being from the US, I'm stuck in the Mardi Gras area..in fact, I'm in Alabama and, in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, businesses close for Mardi Gras. I've been called all day with "are you open today?" questions. It's crazy if you ask me! |

flapjacks arent pancakes, homez... proper pancakes are the one, not these yank type ones which taste all dry and are small. lemon n sugar...absolutely tip fucking top. |

1. Much to my dismay, I didn't have pancakes yesterday, but having them this week instead! :) 2. I am insane, that what makes me cool. 3. I normally have erm, either; Sugar and the good old 'Jif' Lemon Juice. Maple Syrup and Sugar Depends what I feel like, but I am totally distraught that I haven't had them yet :( |

mmm I cook them all the time.. I just like them plain with syrup.. the thin pancakes.. not really the thick ones. |
