Believe it or not, there is a such thing as back stabbing, cold hearted, small penis'd mortals out there who really would do anything to get to your partner for life and make babies. Solution: Simple, don't ask for money, Earn it! Now there is nothing wrong with telling your crew leader your goals and intentions, and if they feel jolly, then they may let out a low "Ho, HO ,HO" and then giving you what you want. After all it is nearly Christmas.

Some very interesting points Mr. Wad. My question is if lending or asking for taboo money, why exactly that is. I feel borrowing 20-30k to get your feet on the ground in the drug game helps everyone involved. Not only do I get to quickly build my units and make some bank, but the lender also makes more money because im personally doing bigger transactions. you could even charge 5k interest on it and it'd be fair. I think paying back that amount of money back the next day is a very easy task. It seems like a win win situation. Even if the person fails to pay the lender back. THe lender just spent 20-30k to get a free kill.

20-30k is more then acceptable to ask for, hell I lend much more then that to my newest mafioso's. I was addressing more of the high quantity requests. I highly appreciate your input though. You are absolutely correct, there is nothing wrong with that at all.

The points you raise here Mr Wad are both valid and true. I think too many people come to these shores, not realising what affect their actions have upon their family. Everyone needs to understand the amount of problems they can cause for other people if they mess around. But what causes this? Is it general ignorance from the new mafiosos? Do they not pick up the bible and read it? Or is it the guys who hang around at the dock, trying to recruit this fresh meat? Do they not explain to them properly how things work around here? Personally I think it is the young mafiosos, if they decide to some to these streets, they have got to learn how we do it around around here. Hopefuly the older people around here will be able to see its not the family's fault if a new guy messes up.

when i first arrived here, i couldnt ask for money quick enough...lukily, i was fortunate enough that someone did help me. Having said this, i always pay my debts as i dont like to owe anyone anything!! i think it is in everyones interest to lend/give money to the lower ranks in there own crew , 2 reasons why: 1. it helps the player to gain rank and money. 2. by having the money to buy and sell drugs from early on creates more money in revenue for that crew. so even if you are not RHM OR LHM, everyone has a responsibilty to lend/give money to lower ranks!

I personally blame the recruiters. If you wanna take on an associate...you need to take care of them. With some of them it's like buying a puppy...you gotta teach them where it's acceptable to take a shit. Some of them will wander around not even knowing how to get to the HQ to read where everything is laid out. One on one interaction is lacking in a lot of cases.....and it leads to a lot of dissapointment (and lets be real...one on one interaction is what it's all about). Their lack of knowledge is your lack of leadership (as far as the sponsor). The mistakes they make (there always should be a few exceptions of course) should fall squarely on the shoulders of the sponsor.

My father jumped through fucking hoops to let everyone who he brought in (and even others) know the ins and outs. Shit he even helped out a few people in different families (which I think was foolish). I can tell you now his proudest moments were watching them jump up the ladder one by one. He was never in it just to get a body....as nobody should be.

Let me go ahead and repeat what I heard my father tell someone once.

Dont get me wrong, i do agree that the fate of the new mafiosos in the the hands of their sponsor, and it is up to that sponsor to make sure that they know the rules around here, as you very rightly pointed out with the Puppy euphemism. But my father had the odd mafioso that however much he helped, threw it all back in his face, he would spend hours teaching and trying to resolve situaions for them just to be a dick.

I saw many people grow under my fathers short time as a CL, most of them were amazing people, couldnt ask more from them, but it is the ones that piss you off that you remember. Think of the last time you spoke to a sponsor about one of their associates. Was it applauding them on how good their associate is? Or was it telling them that if their associate makes one more wrong move they are out of here?

As for your father RW318, i had the privilige of getting help from him, he was a great teacher and a man to be admired.

I suppose my father was lucky enough to never run into those types of associates. Damn near everyone he offered a hand to accepted it.

He never spoke to any sponsor on their associates..unless it was to address the sponsors possible concerns with them.  "Good job on that one" came from them seeing their associates becoming button men/women. "Be a little more careful" came with a bullet to their associate and a letter explaining the reason. Some things are better left unspoken. When someone can count on you to teach and get all the effort you can out of a new associate....that's when you've got all the trust in the world.  Blatant failure should only lead down one road.
