A day in the life of Korg Started by: Korg on May 23, '19 01:19

Welcome to my inner monologue, I will be your host Korg, and today we will be discussing a day in my life because as you may know I've received a lot of questions regarding how exactly did a man made of stone become a prominent member of the mafia. That's a great question, an even better one would be, "Hey, Korg. How are you feeling today?" but of course no one ever asks that; why would they ever care about someone like me? It isn't like I matter. Mother always said... uh, okay, we're getting a bit too in depth here. Let's cut to the story, shall we?

Just kidding. I'm on a bus and I can't really start a story while on a bus... give me a few minutes, people might stare. Plus we're almost to the destination, just relax. Let me set the mood a little. Dims the lights. Yeah that's much better, okay now I'll be right back.

...

...

...

Okay, now we'll begin. You see, it all starts here, in the city of Seattle, where I was born just a small husk of cobbled together rocks with very little else to show for it. I was more of a grower rather than a shower as they say... Korg stepped off of the bus and began to walk down one of the many city streets of Seattle before dipping down one of the many alleyways, his bulky hands clutching his gun so tightly that you'd think it would break in two but somehow through the grace of story-telling, it worked perfectly.

"I'm here for the ship, I know you know where it is.", Yes, a ship. That's what this is all about. You see, I was born in Seattle but there's not anything quite like me on the rest of this hunk of dirt. There must be more... I'm sure of it. With all of the strange characters you meet in the shady underground of the mafia, there must be a reason for it. All you ever see anywhere else is human after human; at the bank? All humans? The mall? All humans. Go around a crowded city street? Human after human. Then the further you get into the criminal underworld and you'll see all sorts of fucked up things - myself included - we have to come from somewhere, but where? I had to find out. It was my junior detective duty.

"I don't know what you're talking about, wh-what ship?"

This clearly displeased Korg to hear as he slammed the wall behind the man, severely hurting his hand in the process. I guess stone hitting stone isn't as effective as he thought it'd be, but masking the pain like a true master of the underworld, he only cried a little bit and then continued with the interrogation.

"The ship. To space. I've come to far and done too many things to be lied to."

The man had pissed himself and if the amount of pee is any indication, he was a big fan of water, good for him; remember to always stay hydrated, folks. but ths still wasn't over yet, Korg knew that the man must know something and he would have to call in the best damn information extractor this side of the Mississippi; his knife-like hands always knew exactly how to make someone speak and his weird ass alien body was just the type of thing to scare a man.

"I'll be right back..."

Stepping out of the alley for a moment he began to shriek.

"Mieeeek MIIIIEEEEKK WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"

Hey, it usually worked. Now all that I had to do was wait for the little freak to show himself. He was usually pretty punctual, but you could never bee too sure with bugs. Haha. Bee. Bugs. I'm cool.

A loud stomping could be heard from outside the alley, coming closer and closer by the second. Punctual as always, Miek came flying in at a sprint, before stopping close to Korg, almost tripping over himself. He let out a loud shriek, making sure to do a pose with his arms in a cool but threatening X. After standing like that for a solid minute, he lowered his pose to listen to Korg's whispers, peeking into the alley to assess the situation.

Without further ado, Miek stomped and sprinted right up to the man, who had been left in the alley with his hands tied up in front of him with rope. He noticed the stain and the smell, a little surprised  Korg had managed to intimidate someone all by himself. He posed his arms to threaten the man, letting out a deep shriek, knowing he had to show this guy that he meant business. He was determined to help Korg find out where this mystery ship was, and he was not going to let anyone get in the way of them.

As he began to shriek and pose menacingly at the man, the man just seemed to be drifting between states of being terrified and confused, clearly not understanding anything of what Miek was saying in his shrieks, though he did find some interest in the poses. He wondered where this strange looking bug had learned them from, if he had practiced them, or if he was simply improvising on the spot.

Fed up with not being understood, Miek slashed his right arm down to slash the man with a knife. As graciously as possible he missed the man's arm and hand, instead cutting the man's hands free by accident. They both slowly looked up at each other, before Miek let out a more high-pitched panic sound, while the panicked man sprinted for the exit of the alley with Miek on his tail.

Although Miek had hoped that Korg would be standing attentively at the exit of the alley in case anything happened, this did not seem to be the case. Instead, he was at a nearby hot dog stand, excitedly watching the vendor put mustard on his hot dog. Miek let out one last shriek as he continued to chase after the man who seemed to be fueled by adrenaline, unable to catch up with him. He did manage to keep on his tail, and he hoped Korg could delay his mid-day snack to help catch the man in some clever way.
