Settling into Brooklyn Started by: Dean-Winchester on May 23, '19 05:24

Dean Winchester was recruited by Don Cooper into The Five Points Gang, this gang operated out of Brooklyn. Since he wasn't a Made Man he figured he was better off getting an apartment in town rather than living in Manhattan or at the Headquarters with the Made guys. Dean found a nice apartment just three blocks from the Headquarters, it was a nice high rise that was easily affordable with all the new money he was making with this new crew. Dean drove up and parked in his own garage, Dean was finally moving up into the world. When Dean walked into his apartment he was happy, it was nice and modern. Dean then went outside seeing this side of town was much different than the Bronx or Manhattan, Godfather Chairman Tim had such a hold on this part of the city it seemed no one dared do anything without his say.

There were no petty thugs hanging out selling drugs, no homeless men lounging around and stealing from the locals, no teenage kids causing a ruckus. It was nice and quiet then night life here was amazing too! Even in the dark Dean felt safe in his new home, there was no violence that Tim didn't approve of. Dean would get hammered at the bar stumble home and not have a single issue, though Dean rarely left Brooklyn now. Dean was told that some guy from the Bronx had come into Brooklyn and beaten a member of the families wife, Dean was told to go there and deal with him.

Dean quickly hopped into his car and peeled out heading to the Bronx, he had the address and a picture of the man. They made sure that the man was there and his door was propped open so Dean could head right in. Dean pulled up to the apartment building and headed upstairs, he got to the door room 41C. Dean slowly opened the door and slid his way inside, then closed the door and locked it from the inside. He then pulled out a club he brought upstairs and made sure his pistol was tucked into his waistband. Dean heard the radio playing so he knew it would be easy to sneak in, Dean rounded the corner and noticed the man was lying on the couch facing the other way Dean could walk right up to him and begin the beating. "Should I make sure I have the right guy?" Dean whispered to himself.. Nah. Dean closed in to the man and *bam* he hits the man square in the back of the head. He lays over and grabs him head whimpering, Dean hits him two more times breaking his right hand and severely bruising his jaw and cheek area. The man whimpering continues, "Who are you why are you beating me?" the man screams. Dean double handed brings the club down on the mans ribs twice more, Dean hears a nasty crunch. "Ooohh that sounds broken man. Listen I'll ask you one time, you hit my buddies wife?" the mans face turns pale and cold. "She stole from me, she stole every dollar I had! What was I supposed to do? I'm getting evicted tomorrow man I've got nothing!" Dean looks at the man pulls out the pistol from his waist. "Sooooo did you beat her? You're really just talking around my question and I don't appreciate it." the man looks at Dean with fear in his eyes. "Yes! Yes! I hit her a few times! Please sir haven't you done enough?" the man yells. Dean raises the gun, then before the man could react he brings the club from behind the couch and *Slam* Dean sets the gun down on the table and walks over. The man rolls off the couch tries to stand then falls over through his table, Dean walks over to him raising the club once more hitting him. The man goes limp, Dean then walks over to the window and throws the club out, then closes the window. Dean walks over to the table and grabs his gun, the man had still yet to move by the time Dean walked back over to him. Dean raises his weapon *Bang* one shot to the back of the head. Dean quickly moves out the window and down the fire escapes once he ensures the front door is still locked from the inside. Dean heads straight home and calls the man who gave him the job. "Taken care of." Dean says, "Good" click the man hangs up the phone. Dean goes back to the bar to enjoy his night until the next job.

Once Dean makes it to the bar over in the Bronx, it was the best place to drink you never knew what kind of shit you were going to get involved in, he walks in and finds a bunch of greasers inside they look to be having a good time, Dean walk in and takes a seat next to the prettiest girl in the place. He sits, "Bartender two beers please." the man ignores him. Dean decides not to lose his temper, "Hey man I asked for a couple beers." the bartender looks at Dean then turns away a couple of the greasers start to take notice and move towards Dean. Dean starts tapping his foot, he is really losing his temper. Then he stands up and walks around to where the bartender is serving some, "Look man I don't know if you're deaf or dumb, but I've asked you for two beers twice now. He then slaps twenty dollars on the table, keep the change." the bartender waves to a man behind Dean. Dean turns around, to see two huge men walking up on him. Dean puts his hands up, "Alright I'm leaving, I got it." the bouncers move out of Deans way out of the bar and sits in his car. He thinks to himself, that he should teach this bartender some manners and how to treat a man who works with The Five Points Gang.

Dean sits outside in his car and decides to wait for him to come out, Dean sits in his car for forty minutes until closing time. He sees everyone leave the bar, then the bouncers. He knows the bartender is alone, he waits another five minutes to give the people time to get some distance between them and the bar. Dean then grabs his pistol and go back inside the bar, the bartender hears the door open "Sorry buddy we're closed." Dean chuckles "Don't worry you don't serve my kind anyways." he says as he draws his pistol. "Now keep your hands nice and high, I know you fuckers keep guns under you bar. How about you step out from back there and come take a seat over here." he says as he locks the door behind him. The bartender moves with his hands up and sits, "Buddy is this really over a couple beers?" Dean picks up a pool cue and hits a ball. "Well I never got my twenty bucks back either so I mean couple bucks and some money.." Dean takes a pause. "But nah man it's not over any of that, I want to know your problem with guys like me." The man stomps his foot, "YOU WANNA KNOW MY PROBLEM! YOU'RE ALL KILLERS NOTHING BUT VIOLENT SELFISH KILLERS!" the man yells at Dean, "There we go get it out get it all over." Dean says as he continues to shoot a game, "Now tell me who killed someone close to you?" the bartender starts to tear up, "Motherfucker last time you guys ran this part of the city my daughter and wife were caught up in one of you wars, I was here working like I always am. One of you Wise Guys got a lead that some Don yall were out to get was in my house, why I don't know so you people just drove up and starting blasting at the house.. hell you even threw dynamite into the place!" Dean shakes his head, " I see because someone ages ago, killed someone you love. Now I can't have a beer? You realize we all lose people to this life? No one makes it out unscarred!" Dean demands at the man. The man puts stands up and grabs a beer and breaks it on the bar, "I'm not part of this! I'm done talking, I'm going to kill you where you stand!" the man charges at Dean, Dean pulls the pool cue back and slings it across his head. The man collapses in the bar, he's out cold. Dean decides to go to his office and get pen and paper.

I'm sorry for your loss sir, I truly am. But know no one chooses this life with the intentions of dying or killing innocent. We swear against it, I know whoever killed them had not done it on purpose. The next time on of us comes into the bar get to know us. Give us a chance to prove that we aren't all evil monsters. I'm going to leave some water and pain medicine beside you, hope you head doesn't hurt too bad man.

Dean stands up from the desk leaving the note there, he then grabs some pills off the desk and heads to the bar grabs a glass and fills it with water. He puts it all beside the knocked out man along with the note, he then exits the bar and gets back in his car. He heads home, when he arrives he sees a note on his door that reads.

"Come to the Bronx again and we'll give teach you a lesson worth learning."

Dean knows where he's got to go now, he calls his buddy Kenny and ask his if he minds rolling with him on this adventure.

"That's a big mistake you're doing pal." Said Kenny, impatiently pacing back and forth. He was put up to the task of extorting protection money of a electronics store in Brooklyn but the owner was refusing to pay up; Cooper had sent an associate to do the job yesterday but he just managed to get himself beat up by the store guard. He needed someone with more experience on doing this kind of work, so he sent Kenny. He looked around the place and saw a lot of TV's and some radios, he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, staring down at the business owner, never breaking eye contact.

"Man, I was supposed to be at my apartment, enjoying a bottle of whiskey and some cigarettes, listening to music. But no, I'm here trying to get money out of ya. So please just pay up and I'll leave you be for the next month." Kenny reached for his pockets and grabbed a cigarette and lit it, he took a long drag out of it and walked a bit more closer to the counter where the business owner was behind. He placed the cigarette between his index and middle finger.

"Refuse to pay and I'll bust some of ya product. Refuse to pay again and I'll beat you up. Refuse one more time and I'll come back at night and burn this place to the ground. Don't test me."

Kenny took a drag out of his cigarette again as the store guard approached him. "Time to leave." He said. Kenny raised his eyebrow and placed his cigarette on his lips, once the store guard was close enough Kenny delivered a strong punch on his face, making him lose balance. Kenny placed the cigarette on his fingers again and tidied up his hair. With a grin on his face and looking at the shop keeper, he said.

"Do you think I'm kidding?" The store guard got up and Kenny quickly hit his elbow on the guy's nose, he fell on the ground with his hand on his face. Kenny placed the cigarette on his lips again and approached the shop keeper, he grabbed the man by the back of the neck and shoved his face against the counter. Holding him down, Kenny shouted on his ear.

"PAY THE FUCK UP!" He slammed the shop keeper's head on the counter one more time and let him go. The shop keeper quickly shook his head and opened the cash register, pulling the money Kenny was asking for. He handed it over to Kenny, who grabbed it and stashed it on his pockets.

"Grazie." Kenny took a drag out of the cigarette and left the store.

Kenny opened the door of his apartment and quickly walked towards the table where he left his bottle of whiskey half finished, he grabbed it and jumped on the couch, finally enjoying a bit of time alone with his favorite alcohol. It didn't last though. After a few sips he heard his phone ringing. Kenny cursed at it, calling the phone names. He does that a lot. He takes a swig out of the bottle and walks towards the phone, picking it up.

"This better be good.." Kenny growled on the phone. Dean-Winchester started talking and Kenny listened. "Hm. Sounds like fun. Sign me up! I'll meet ya at our favorite bar." Kenny hung up and snatched the bottle from the table, he grabbed his revolver, placed it on his waist belt, took a swig out of his bottle and left, heading to the bar where him and Dean usually gets hammered.

"Sounds good brother I can't wait to go get a drink with you tonight, the bar is called Charlies Bar. It's right off of Lincoln Ave, this the address is 112. Not sure, you'll see it though. It's a nice little spot and a bunch of greasy kids out front drinking, not sure how the place has gone so long without getting busted. Think that's where we go and look for our first lead."

Dean hangs up the phone and grabs his bottle of Bombay, it was a strong gin but mixed with some orange juice and it was a remedy to go to sleep.

Dean took his drink and headed to the bedroom, for a good nights sleep.
