Amaryllis heard a familiar sounding voice as she turned to see the gentleman she'd treated earlier. She offering a polite smile as she looked a bit confused. "I'm sorry, what was that about Italian?" She didn't speak Italian, but she had a general idea of that being what he was talking about due to the simple fact that he had said 'Italiano'. She did move over to join him in the corner however, taking a sip of her whiskey as she turned slightly to give him her undivided attention. "Why do American's like whiskey? Can't say I know that answer... I just enjoy the taste and the aroma of the whiskey. I find it quite pleasant." |

Silvio smiled as Amaryllis took the seat next to him in the corner. "Green is your color, Amaryllis. A beautiful dress for a beautiful woman with a beautiful name. And it just seems like every American I might is drinking whiskey. It is a shame; there is nothing better than a good wine. Americans always rushing, rushing, rushing. Even in their drinking, they rush to get drunk. Where is the pleasure in the journey?" He poured himself another glass. "And speaking of journeys, how does someone like you become a nurse in a Vegas clinic, Amaryllis?" |

Amaryllis couldnt help but shake her head as she chuckled softly at the man while settling into her seat, taking a sip of her whiskey. "I appreciate the compliments, Mr. Violante, they are quite flattering. As for my drink choice, i wouldnt quite agree that all Americans are trying to get drunk as fast as possible. Most people that I know who drink Whiskey simply drink it as something you sip, that you take time to drink so you can savor it. Something allows you to ease into relaxing with." she took some time to think on his next question, shrugging slightly before speaking. "There's a lot of people getting hurt or killed in this world... so i figured why not try to do some good. What about you? How does a man like you end up in Vegas?" |

Silvio sighed. "An exile, I'm afraid. I fell in love in Venezia with the last woman I should have loved... the daughter of a very powerful man. And now... I cannot go back. A sad tale, no? Well, here I am." |

She listened to him as she took another sip of her whiskey, shifting in her seat so she could look at him. Her eyes softening as he talked about why he was here. "Exile? That sounds pretty rough... and because of a woman, I hope you don't mind my asking but was it that she got you into trouble that you had to run here? Or did something else happen?" She cocked her head a bit as she leaned an elbow on the table and her hand rested on her head. "This might sound weird, but this is definitely much more interesting than my actual reason... which is a weird way to think of things I guess... I don't really know honestly." |

Silvio nodded. "Si. Her former suitors had been... ah.... removed from the equation permanently by her father. I fled as far away as I could. Still, I am not too worried; I am far away now, no? And what is your actual reason?" Interested, he leaned forward. |

She listened to his words as she nodded. "Well, that makes a lot more sense now, I can't blame you for hiding away. That just seems terrifying to think someone's father would scare away the suitors by killing them." She shrugged a bit as she sipped her whiskey again. "Well.. my father worked for someone... didn't know him much growing up, he died... I did some work for a family in Philly... then shit went down and I came here to start life as a nurse because it just seemed to be the thing for me." |

Silvio refilled his wine with a grin. "And what appeals to you about nursing, Amaryllis? Outside of the uniform that you wear so well?" |

She chuckled softly at his question as she thought for a moment. "This will probably sound cheesy or lame to you but honestly... it's the helping people. There's a lot going on out there where people get hurt or killed... so it seemed like the proper to do. I've enjoyed it, helping people that is. It's nice..." |

Silvio looked at her with shining hazel eyes over the rim of his wine glass. "And who helps you, Amaryllis? I would never want to be too forward, but I am a student of the art of massage. Someone who helps others deserves to be helped themselves, no?" |

She felt like she noticed the look he was giving, but simply sipped at her own whiskey as her blueish green eyes watched him.
"At the moment, no one takes care of me but myself, Mr. Violante. I do believe you have a point though, one should deserve to be helped themselves if they help others. I believe some call it good karma. I might just have to take you up on your word of being a student of massages." |

"Bene." He stretched his long fingers with a smirk. "Shall we? I have a room across the street." |
