Okay everytime someone tries a news paper people get pissed off and bash the entire thing not realizing the effort it takes to write one and or organize one. So before I even consider starting one I would like to know what do you guys and girls want to wake up and read. I mean what section would you like to see included. |

It's not exactly accurate to say "everytime" people bash new newspapers. I don't recall anyone bashing the Gwarble Barble, Tea Time, The Bloody Tissue, or one or two other fine works that have been published over the years. At least, no one other than targets of criticism bashed those publications. There was quite a consensus that they were all fine works done by talented people who exerted a lot of effort. People will bash a newspaper if it is the product of laziness or if it is published by someone who doesn't quite have the talent necessary to entertain a large audience composed of mixed demographics. You can't expect to put out a product that will barely survive the scrutiny of an 8th grade school newspaper editor and expect it to be praised by the college students, graduates, and business professionals who make up a large segment of our userbase. I am not suggesting that only the brightest minds among us should attempt to publish a newspaper, but if you are not up to the task of rivalling your predecessors in mafia journalism, don't pitch a fit if you get criticized. Newspaper publication around here has always been held to a much higher standard than your average street thread, and rightly so. |

This thread is here so that I may get a better idea of what people would actually like to read. If you don't have any suggestions as far as that goes please make room for those who do so that they may have a chance to speak please and thank you. Ex. I would like to see news accurate to our time. Also I enjoy read horoscopes.

Well I definitely like to see interviews with current crew leaders or even a RHM/LHM would still be interesting. |

Not that you can replace the sheer caliber of epicness of the Barble, but another Death Wish List would be a nice touch. |

The formula to a successful newspaper is just to be entertaining. That's all anyone is really looking for around here, be it a newspaper, street speech, or story. It can be a simple formula, or a difficult one. Depends on who is publishing it. Even those who produced the most entertaining of newspapers often complained it was a tedious and thankless job. I don't say this to be discouraging, only to pass along what was said to me by some of our world's more prominent journalists. Good luck to you should you choose to pursue this |

It should be insightful, well written, accurate or wildly inaccurate but never a mixture of both. There should be consistency and a high level of grammar and spelling, as well as being entertaining. It should at the same time be the most thankless and most rewarding endeavour you can undertake. In short, to have a successful paper it needs to be a work of genius, something the barble skirted around on numerous occasions, making it by far the best paper to date. |
