New York, October 1931

The midnight train arrives. Off steps a man, 5'7 average build, cool & confident, a man no one would even bat an eyelid at. Yet, underneath the surface lies a past that would haunt any man. His name is Showster, a man seeking a new beginning, a fresh start...if that were even possible in this world. You can only run from your past for so long...sooner or later itl catch up to you. He walks to the nearest motel, a beat down rough looking joint, real shithole. He doesnt care, he was born and raised on the street, every day above ground is a good day in his eyes. He pays cash, takes the keys and strolls to his room. Not much of a bed, as a makeshift couch, didnt matter he never slept anymore, not these days, not after all the shit h'ed been through. Because he knew that if he did fall asleep, he might not wake up, such is the life hed chosen. He pours himself a strong drink and lights a cigarette, stands on the balcony and thinks back as to how he got himself into this mess...

"Happy New Year buddy!" - Petey

*knocks back a bourbon*

"Yeah yeah whatever New Years is overrated, as far as im concerned, its the same shit different day" - Showster

"Man, ur such a buzzkill! You need to learn to enjoy life a little, find urself a nice broad, who knows maybe even have a couple rugrats." - Petey

"Hah, im not that old yet Petey"- Showster

*knocks back a shot whiskey*

"Just to think 2 years ago, we were on the street, hustling tryna make a quick buck. And now he we are, respected faces, working for Jimmy O'Fallon. We might even get made soon." - Petey

"Yeah, its funny that, its amazing how much life can change in an instant, besides u gonna make julie and honest woman already? Uve been together for like forever" - Showster

"Hey im saving up for a ring ok, i dont wanna give her any cheap replica, i want the best! Shes stuck with me through everything, thats the least she deserves." - Petey

"Well I wouldnt tally if I were you, or that Ricardo might make his move, you know hes had his eye on her for a while now" - Showster

"What that picciotto? no way man, Julie wouldnt be interested in that greaseball." -Petey

"Just dont leave it too long, I can always chip in and help if you need...anyway, lets go take care of that thing" - Showster

"Thanks Show, but il take care of it, so..." - Petey

"One for the road!" - Petey and Showster

*They raise their glasses clink them together and down their shots*

Present Day, October 1931

Its funny, I didnt think much about it at the time, but thinking back, those were some of the happiest times of my life. Now, 8 months on, here i am wishing i could just go right back...

Showster sighs and takes a big swig straight from the bottle, watching the neighbourhood go by.

Sammy smiles to Showster, shaking his hand

"Not bad my friend, not bad at all, I look forward to seeing the next installment"
