First Step To Disaster Started by: ElijahBlanco on Jun 24, '19 09:18

Elijah Blanco didn’t know what he was going to expect when he took his first step into the Debauchery Incorporated headquarters. He was new to this world of crime. Only just having been introduced to it a few months ago - he was curious and determined on finding out what all the hype was about.

He did hear of his crew leader though. Word spreads quickly, especially when someone has a lot of supply of something. This time, prohibition was really starting to become a damn pain in the ass. A big one. Elijah wanted to know the shortcuts of this madness of an era. It wasn’t until he met the famous Biggus Dickus did Elijah’s interests start to grow.

His interests and hard work grew and grew until the day finally came, his promotion awaiting him, Elijah gladly accepted it and hadn’t looked back since. Elijah’s drug addiction - it was a long lost addiction now. He’s moved on. Not for the better though. A sex addiction is just as bad.

Nowadays, Elijah keeps himself distracted from life’s boring reality with his new hostel business. The official opening was last week and ever since then, none of his clients ever leave with a sour face. With the profits coming in smoothly and girls all around him, Elijah had never been this happy and content before in his life.

However, everything eventually comes to end and Elijah knew that he would have to upgrade. To something bigger. Better. He had a plan.

—

The plan was simple, really.

A murder house. Tips and tricks on how to execute the perfect murder. This murder house was going to be the official fun house for all fun lovers and serial killer psychopaths. All he needed was an audience. Elijah had collaborated with an old friend who taught him how to build the most perfect torture devices. There would be people coming in from all corners of the land eager to see what torturous method Elijah was going to execute this time.

The first theme of the week would be Medieval Times. The head crusher was quite a sight. Especially when being used on a real person. No one ever saw Elijah’s face because he was always hiding behind a mask during his performances. The mystery always provided a provocative effect. Hey, it kept the people coming.

Who was going to stop Elijah Blanco? Association with the mafia had its perks. But don’t get it twisted. There was always difficult hurdles to overcome. Just like today. The twenty fourth of June on a Monday, the year 1936 and Elijah received a ping from a guy he used to study with during his college days. A fellow graduate from Michigan’s School of Business Administration whose name was Aim. If you wanna know the reason why his name was Aim, you could probably guess right.

Aim had perfect aim. With anything. He had perfect aim shooting targets with a simple shot gun, perfect aim throwing paper balls into bins in class, perfect aim plunging arrows into animal hearts (and people hearts) but there was one thing he could never master. You could say, he was… shooting blanks. Aim came to Elijah with a problem. Aim had heard of Elijah’s services and after much deliberation with himself, he reached a decision.

On the 24th of June, he mailed a letter to Elijah. Introduced himself once again, told him about what had been going on in his life since graduation and etc. Then he wrote his request. I’m a friend asking a friend for a favour. I come to you with great hope and sincerity, Elijah. Provide me with your finest female specimen whom I will link hearts with. Upon doing this one simple favour for me, I will assure you… You will never see your wealth and fame come to an end.

Elijah held the letter in one hand while the other held a glass of Irish whiskey on the rocks. He took a sip and let the burnt-rubber taste cleanse his soul. Reassurance is different when not asked for. He did like the sound of wealth and fame, but it wasn’t exactly what he wanted. Life is more than that. But as much as that was true, Elijah would never turn down a request from a friend.

The kind soul that Elijah was paid the entire fee for the flight. Aim was coming soon. Coming home, rather. He should have stayed in Detroit. Instead he flew to Dubai in hopes of finding solace. It was too late when Aim found out that Dubai had a dark side. On top of that, a toxic culture. Aim had already blown a fuckton of money on stupid things, stupid girls, before he had come to that realization. When he heard back from Elijah, Aim immediately packed his bags and headed for the airport. The first step to disaster. Hell, as long as he was moving out of Dubai, any disaster was going to be a beautiful disaster.

Before meeting each other, Elijah arranged a dinner at the diner he would always go to with Aim. It was their favourite hang out place on weekends when they didn’t have any other assignments to do.

Once Elijah heard of his friend’s arrival, his mind was alerted.

When he saw Aim for the first time in a long time, he wondered why they ever thought moving away from each other would be a good idea. “I should have never let your ass step foot on that airplane. If I had the same influence that I have now back then, I would have ordered for the pilot to kick you out.” He threw his arms around Aim, patted him on the back a little too hard from built up excitement and smiled widely from ear to ear.

Aim shuffled backwards from how tight the hug was and laughed. “Damn man, you mind?” As he greeted Elijah with a big old smile, he was reminded of how much he had missed him all these years. There was something warm about seeing an old friend. It was like blowing away the dust from an old picture book in the basement. Bringing back old memories. It was nice, nice indeed, but now it was time for fun.

Put Elijah and Aim in the same city. Trouble is bound to occur.

“So how about my request eh, Elijah?” Aim nudged him playfully in the ribs.

Elijah looked at Aim and gestured towards the shiny black vehicle parked in front of the entrance doors of the airport. “Hop in, dude. We’re going on a trip today.” Aim was no doubt excited for the coming days. He suddenly felt sick inside his stomach. Elijah noticed his gloomy expressions and questioned them.

“Dude, you okay?”

“Yeah, just a little nervous.”

He couldn’t really understand why he was so nervous, having interacted with so many girls in the past before. Maybe this is what true love would be like. Feeling sick inside your stomach? Actually wait. It’s supposed to be butterflies not anxiety. Oh well. Elijah patted him on the back and reassured him. “You’ll be okay. My girls are harmless.”

Aim knew completely why he was talking about the girls like they were his - that’s because they were. After Elijah’s latest promotion along with his rise in the mafia world, his wealth was becoming known in many parts of the land. With this came power. And the women. It was good timing when Elijah decided to open up a hostel business because all kinds of women showed up to his doorstep looking to be hired.

Quite literally, Elijah had claimed a lot of women but he had also rejected a lot of others. What did you expect? Elijah was moving up in the business world and no longer was he going to be just another guy. He was going to be a strict business man. He had to be strict and harsh sometimes. Elijah didn’t buy the girls for himself though. They were for his customers. And today - the girls were getting a huge announcement.

On behalf of Elijah’s request, his receptionist as well as his hired manager at the hostel announced to the ladies that there will be a very special client coming into the hostel today. In a dim-lit room, all the women were sitting all prim and proper on a long red velvet sofa. Some started to widen their eyes - but there was one lady who obviously didn’t like the sound of this. She was seated with the girls, but clearly she was not interested in whatever they were all giggling about.

The woman was minding her own business, looking down at her nails and analysing a piece of dirt stuck under them. She was suddenly woken up by the sound of heavy footsteps approaching. She already knew who it was before she had to look up. Elijah - of course. He walked in with his buddy, Aim, who immediately locked eyes with the woman. When they saw each other for the first time, it was like complete serenity. Heaven on earth.

This mystery lady had long, blonde hair that reached her waist and had on a killer smile. She was captivated by his stare. “I want that one.” Aim pointed to her discretely as he glanced to Elijah straight after. Elijah saw his serious look. Nodding, his eyes started to twinkle in amusement. “Ah, you like my Alice. One of my best girls. I don’t know if I can make that sacrifice just yet. Giving her to you and all.” Eventually, he was going to let Aim have her, but there was a close brother sister bond between Elijah and Alice that he would never forget.

Even though Aim knew who he wanted to go for, he still called for a dinner with all the girls. Elijah was skeptical and wondered if Aim was just trying to take advantage of being flown out to Detroit. But he mentally slapped himself. This was his friend. Elijah knew he was always the show off type. But deep down, Elijah knew that Aim was a really great guy. They had shared some good memories together, one of them involving a runaway prisoner and a hairless cat. Anyways, that was a story for another day.

It was awkward to say the last. The dinner, that is. Most of them already knew who Aim was going to choose anyway. It’s especially obvious when he kept on stealing glances at Alice from across the table. One of the girls whose name was Marla pointed to the mash potatoes. Some other girls giggled as Marla tried to get Alice’s attention to pass it. But of course, she was too busy flirting with her eyes. It wasn’t until one of the girls nudged Alice in the ribs did she realize.

Blushing, Alice picked up the plate of mash potatoes and attempted to pass it to Marla. Something always bad has to happen though. One of Alice’s fingers slipped from the plate and it all went downhill from there. Marla didn’t go to sleep happy that night. The other girls told her that it was no big deal and that her brand new sweater would get washed like the stain was never there. Alice apologized shortly after and promised her that they’d both go shopping together. All paid for by Alice.

Alice gagged. It was an ugly sweater anyway. She stayed back while the other girls skipped away back to their rooms.

Aim pushed her gently against the wall, his hot breath fanning her neck and their faces way too close to each other. Alice could feel him. His everything. At that point in time, she was blushing as red as a tomato. Even more than. Even tomatoes don’t turn that red.

“You sure you want to do this?”

“Oh I’m sure. Very sure,” Aim growled.

Elijah was never at the dinner. He had to attend a very important meeting, but he was oh-so-glad to get to know the details of Aim and Alice’s night. Both of them told their own version of what happened as well. It was amusing. For a good two weeks, the talk of the town was Aim and Alice’s upcoming engagement party. Elijah funded the whole thing. He didn’t mind, of course.

“As long as you reimburse the expenses, mate.” Elijah winked. He looked back down at his desk, his hand grabbing something from the drawer. Aim laughed wickedly. He started to wonder what Elijah was getting from his desk, until he pulled out a very elegant tie box wrapped in a blue bow. It had been shipped to Elijah’s doorstep, advanced shipping too so it got there only two days after ordering it. It’s actually very hard picking a tie out of many unique and custom handmade pieces. This one was the best though - for Aim.

It was pure silk, red (Aim’s favourite colour) and was going to compliment Aim’s naturally rosy cheeks. Or maybe he was always just blushing these days thanks to Alice. Evidence of their love for each other was clear. Despite some backlash from the girls, over time everyone started to accept it. Plus - who would wanna miss an engagement party with free food and drinks?

As Aim and Elijah were walking beside each other about to enter the doors of main venue for the engagement party, Elijah looked at Aim and gave him a lasting smirk. “I’m happy for you. And happy for her too. Come visit the hostel from time to time. Don’t hide away from me while you guys are off enjoying a perfect life in another country.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it, buddy.” Aim chuckled.

The theme of the wedding was unique. Jungle/safari style and the tropical cocktails were a nice touch. Elijah had never seen something like this been done before so he was especially delighted when he saw the bride walking down the aisle barefoot. Ah, of course. They were in the jungle! Who wears heels there? Her dress was tailored to perfection as well as Aim’s suit. Thanks to Elijah, he was looking very dapper and even Elijah had to stop himself from drooling beside him. As Alice was slowly walking down, passing by everybody while the Maid of Honour was right behind her, Elijah was standing next to Aim as his best man.

Just before Alice was going to stand in front of him, he looked at Elijah with a smile that showed so much sincerity. He punched him in the arm, what he would always do as a joke. “This is the best fucking day of my life, man.” Aim said. And damn, it really was. After the vows and the kiss and the tears, Aim took his now wife to their honeymoon location. It was a beautiful lodge house by the lake. The honeymoon retreat had been discussed with Elijah. Aim had to choose between a fancy hotel in Las Vegas or a peaceful lodge house. The latter seemed like the better choice because it sounded peaceful. Alice didn’t like noisy places either so it was a perfect pick.

“I used to live in New York,” Alice said as she fumbled to take her red stiletto heels off. Aim was undoing his tie just as she closed the door behind her with one hand. His eyes stayed on the tie as he replied back to her. “Oh yeah?” He looked up finally to make eye contact with those precious blue eyes. Aim threw the tie on the sofa.

“Yeah. This is perfect. Really, it is.”

Alice had more than a couple of drinks back at the wedding reception and she couldn’t wait to just fall asleep in his arms. Aim stared at her rosy cheeks. He suddenly took a few steps closer to her and picked her up bridal style. Alice squealed excitedly as she quickly threw her arms around his neck, before tilting her head back trying to laugh quietly. “No one’s here but us. You can scream as loud as you can tonight.” What followed after is better left unsaid.

Elijah had hired so many girls when he first opened the business that there was no problem replacing Alice. She had the role of bartender as well as dancer, well known by many of the clients. Elijah was sure that people would be asking for her this week. It was definitely a flip of the script when she had given the role to Marla, but she was happy to accept. Even though they have had their few fights and arguments, they were petty. Marla came to the wedding and made sure to wish her best wishes to the newly weds.

So that was that. Work was starting to run smoothly again and Elijah was back to his normal schedule. The planning of the wedding ceremony and everything else that came with that took up a lot of his time, not that he minded it, but he came back to a lot of yellow post it notes stuck all over his desk. Elijah scanned the papers, the books, the pens and the empty chair in front of his desk. If he had decided to stay there for the whole afternoon and do more paperwork, he would make himself crazy.

Instead he found solace at the Debauchery Incorporated headquarters and there he found himself accompanied by many of his fellow family members, some newly recruited others not, at a tea party. He walked in without any clue of what was going on, smiled and nodded to everyone before taking a seat on one of the single sofas around the coffee table. Everyone was busy chit chatting while he sipped on his tea. He was always the quiet one. A hard worker, but it was always a shock to hear him say anything.

After what seemed like forever, Elijah started to get comfortable. Met a lot of new faces but sadly not everyone was present. He saw his two younger sisters walk in. Like two peas in a pod. The innocent, wholesome and sweet one was Misty_Wyn. The other sister known to Elijah as the goofball but also very hardworking (when she wants to be) was named Sienna. Elijah looked up from across the room and gave a quick nod of the head. “Where did you two come from?”

He guessed in his mind that they had just come from a pampering session judging by the wide smiles on their faces, but he was wrong. Very wrong.

Elijah was surprised everyday by these two. Like most women involved with organized crime, they had their dark sides and crazy moments. He never had a worry though. They were grown and had learned to live fine on their own after the passing of mother. Elijah had to take care of them for a while but as they all got older, each of them started to grow out of their shell and carve a successful pathway.

However, like most protective older brothers, Elijah still felt iffy sometimes letting them go out on their own. As much as they hated the idea, Elijah had hired a guard for the both of them. His initial proposal was two but after an angry discussion he decided that one was enough.

The tea party allowed time for Elijah to catch up with his sisters.

When he went back home, he actually felt keen to get back to work after being bombarded with the latest fashion trends and their latest thirsty newbie whom they had to chase away.

Edward Manor. That son of a bitch, good-for-nothing leech had been let off the hook way too many times. Elijah was sick and tired of it all. They had a deal. Edward simply didn’t quite do it for Elijah anymore. It was time to show him what the consequences were for not following through with their agreed contract. It was on the papers. Thirty percent of Manor’s shares must come to Elijah. This was the second time this month that Manor had not been giving the correct amount.

Elijah had to be a little less gentle now.

Usually what would happen is - they meet up in some secluded warehouse where Elijah awaits for the black leather suitcase filled with the cash. Now just what will happen when Elijah changes the plans. A man deserves to die with some dignity. That is the least that Elijah will give him. “We’re picking him up,” Elijah spoke to his personal driver one evening. He was looking at his reflection in the mirror, fixing his tie. He wanted to look sharp when he would go see Manor.

The personal driver looked back at Elijah with a confused face. It was unlike the usual routine. Elijah already knew what his expression was looking like before he even turned around to face him. He cleared his throat then gave a brief nod. “I need to tell you something very important…”

-

Edward Manor was outside the entrance of his mansion, holding an umbrella due to the rain that the radio predicted today. Elijah offered him one last polite gesture as he opened the door for Manor. They didn’t speak but they made eye contact. Elijah nodded and Manor leaned back into the soft leather seat. Entitled prick, Elijah thought harshly to himself. He then went around the car and hopped into the backseat with Edward, before giving one single pat on his driver’s shoulder signalling that they were ready to go.

The driver knew where they were going. After the little chat with his boss, he understood perfectly. Edward Manor was running out of chances. And even if he did suspect something, it was all too late now. Their destination was just up ahead. Edward twisted his expression as he looked out of the window. He turned back to Elijah with a skeptical look, his bushy eyebrows clearly apparent under a street light they had just passed. “Where exactly are we going Elijah? We passed the corner that leads to the warehouse.”

The rain splattered against the window, until it swelled into hail. The trees down the road were swaying in unison while the sky grew increasingly dark. Edward Manor sat in his seat as he realized the true purpose of this ride. If anyone was going to try to attempt anything on his life, it was going to be Elijah. He had actually known for a while that he had it going for him. He just didn’t realize that his time would be this early.

-

In an abandoned shed that was housed near a graveyard, on the ground on his knees was Edward Manor begging for mercy. Elijah stood back while one of his two guards held a gun in the middle of Manor’s forehead. “Scream all you want, Manor. No one can hear you from here.” As Manor was seconds away from getting his life taken away from him, he looked at Elijah in the eye with burning rage. “You will pay for this, motherfucker!”

“Oh, I certainly will. It will be a handsome payment for letting the gods let me witness this execution.”

The guard turned around to look at Elijah, his finger ready to press the trigger.

“Do it.” Elijah narrowed his eyes while he pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

WACK!

There’s only so much patience a man can have before blowing someone’s brains out. At least now Elijah didn’t have to worry about tricksters like Edward Manor.

He dropped by at the Debauchery Incorporated headquarters once again and looked for the boss, whom he found was sitting in his office, his head buried in papers. Elijah knocked at the door which caused his boss to look up. He looked annoyed, but most of all relieved that he was being distracted from the enormous mountain of paperwork on his desk. “Lunch?” Elijah asked. He wanted to just have a quick catch up before going back to his hostel business.

Elijah already had a vehicle parked outside of the building. Without Elijah or his boss saying it, the driver knew exactly where to go. The same place they would go to for lunch every time. It was a simple diner, but the best thing about it was the unlimited rice. Elijah was one of the youngest billionaires, but unlimited free rice? Rich people love free things. Elijah looked at his driver in the rearview mirror and gave a brief nod. Once they reached the destination, both of them headed out of the car and into the diner.

-

The evening time had come when Elijah got back to his hostel. Dinner with the boss had satisfied Elijah greatly. He was ready to go to bed but realized that he still needed to check in on his receptionist and girls at the hostel. Elijah singled his driver. The hostel was still open and barely empty when he arrived. Loads of cars were parked outside.

He went past the entrance doors and into the foyer where he saw his hired manager talking to a couple. “You’re here for the new couple’s massage, aren’t you?” Elijah asked the woman and her husband as he eyed the expensive watch clasped around the man’s wrist. The man looked up. He was unaware that Elijah was the owner of the hostel. He immediately gave Elijah a mean face. “That ain’t any of your business, kid. Now move. We got a room.”

Elijah’s body tensed as he watched the couple walk away. The receptionist was tight-lipped, frozen to the ground. When he had finally finished processing what just happened, he looked at Elijah and parted his mouth about to say something. Elijah shook his head as his eyes narrowed hard.

“Leave them be. They paid, didn’t they? Let them have their fun. We’ll deal with them later.”
