Why Die To Live When We're Just Living To Die Started by: Giovanni_Verrazono on Dec 30, '10 07:48

Gio walked into the bar. Not stopping to look or say a word to anyone he made his way back to the only blood red velvet booth. A woman was there already, she wasn’t the most beautiful women but she was worth every bit of a man’s time and attention. Without looking up she said…

"So you gone talk today or you just going to sit here land waste my time again."

Gio removed his hat and coat then sat down

"Yeah I’ll talk… what you want to here"

"Well for starters why does a guy like you keep coming to a dump like this I mean don’t the fancy kind eat at fancy places and talk with fancy women."

"Well maybe the fancy do but I’m not a fancy guy, when I’m here I’m home."

"You know you never talk about home you should try telling me about your life."

Gio leaned back in his chair look the women in her eyes and started his story…

"From the day I was born which was the third day of April. Thing just never seemed to work out. I admit at first wasn’t trying but is that truly my fault… I was only playing the hand I was dealt. Nobody was there to stress how important things were. I mean yeah I got beating after beating but that did no good. And when I say beating I don’t mean your average beating I’m talking rubber mallets to the skull as well as kitchen knives pressed against you throat. Ahh how good it would have been if the cold steel would have slowly cut through. Maybe then I could achieve happiness in the end.

Okay I’m going in the wrong direction with this let’s take it from the top. Pops used to beat on my moms and she used to cut him in his sleep. When he left it was weird not hearing screams that made me clinch to my sheets. Nothing would help not even counting sheep. Not long after that I met this guy, he was kind of fat, and my mother told me that he was my new dad. Even at that age I knew resistance was futile so I just did I was told and called him dad until I was twelve years old. But making up to the age of twelve wasn’t easy at all. I got a beating for just about any and everything, most things was because one of my siblings wouldn’t fess up to something they did. My mom thought she was doing what parents are supposed to do in that situation but that didn’t work. If she was smart she would have noticed all that did was snatch the will to live out a kid. No love, hugs, or kisses, just shut up sit down and wash the dishes.

Okay the rest of that story is kind of deeply dark and depressing so I’ll skip all that. By the time I was ten my mom found out my dad was addicted to ironically the same drugs I’m selling. From that point on things went further downhill. But that’s it for now I’ll tell you the rest later got to fly out to New York in about forty five minutes.

Gio, Picked up his coat slipped his hands through the sleeves, careful not to hit his diamond cuffs. He then grabbed his hat slid it on his head to the point where his eyes were pushed back into the shadows."
