"You read this Graham? It seems like they are getting braver with their outlandish lies, this is getting tiresome! They are devils, why not accept their fate?" The lone soldier who tried to support the foundation found him outnumbered when numerous eyes turned onto him. These types of things seemed to become a bit different with time, people seemed to believe the Eldians and it was pissing a small number of supports. Only people who knew the truth even stayed away from such people, only no one ever, ever, complained about this type of thing to Graham. "I'm seeing this, I see it clearly. Now get back to work, you don't need to believe this or not! You need to get your ass out there and make sure that I start seeing some difference around this play, we are meant to be the best army out here. All I see is a bunch of gossiping hens, put some respect into that uniform and maybe, just maybe, you can discuss with me." Said soldier gulped before walking away hastily, his eyes turned back onto the newspaper. The lies that these devils would stoop too was a problem to him but he knew that he could do nothing about it, he was not a commander, nor did he have any soldiers that supported him." Back in the main war room, Vulpes stood by the door as Graham looked over the sheets and documents that he had got. His situation was a bit different now. The Eldians had decided to get some payback, they released the true events regarding the war on Seattle and it soon became a mixture of hatred and outright disbelief at what the foundation had stooped too. Graham looked up at Vulpes with a critical gaze, looking over the man's face. Joshua could see that Vulpes had something to say, this man was one of his trusted allies. He could see that this type of loyalty was not in the others, it was something that he wished would be placed elsewhere. Joshua did not like blind loyalty, he wished for the best within his legion. "Hm, Vulpes, what do you have to say?" His second had raised an eyebrow, continuing to stand by the door with a small grin twitching at his lips. "They've changed the narrative, they are no longer devils, they are their own warriors with their own agenda. These Eldians, grenade launchers? Military Schematics, that type of thing is out of this world. If this information gets out, it could be drastic and many powers in this life will want this type of gear." Joshua shrugged, people had already been inventing worse gear but it would definitely involve some thinking to get around such gear. Looking back at Vulpes, he saw the man had a brilliant idea in his mind. The way his eyes lit up, this type of thing, it was amazing and Graham gestured for him to go on. "We should call him in, he's been pretty different in how he's been doing things. If we want a fighting chance, we do it now. He owes us a favor and this type of thing should be quite fun to do, shouldn't it?" Towards the end of his sentence, his voice lifted in laughter. "Call him...and bring him here, its time we used his speed for something, right?" Vulpes nodded, heading out the door as he left Graham with a smile gracing his lips. "So Eobard, just what have you been since that time in the past?" |

Eobard Thawne had been oddly relaxed for a while now, he had escaped Wally West, the speedster had been persistent in his rivalry with him. While Eobard had relaxed, he realized...he couldn't exactly get back to his time and people here, they seemed almost like mobsters. Others were like him in some form, there had been former speedsters here and then there was another Reverse-Flash, that one had been a doozy. Eobard had assumed that he was from another earth. Now with his connection to the speed force draining, he had been left with nothing but a few perks of what his speed could usually do. He had been forced to pick up a job that was below his standards but what else could he do? He couldn't exactly do what he did back in the 22nd Century, things hadn't gone according to this timeline, only it seemed that he had miscalculated, someone had already created a Grenade Launcher, which wasn't even meant to be in supply yet. Now he had to be extra careful, he believed a speedster had to be here, giving hints to certain people with certain groups. This certainly screamed other-worldly involvement and it soon happened, he felt it happen, his connection to the speed force had come back with full force and he found himself running around Los Angeles with red-lighting in his wake... Now that is how he met the Legion, now he had assumed that this Caesar fellow and pictured himself as the one to bring back the glorious roman empire but he had failed and instead, his legion was now run by a man who clearly knew what he was doing. He had taught Eobard a few things and in return, Eobard had helped the person known as Joshua Graham, granting him a favor should he ever need anything. Eobard had founded his own group, trying to find Speedsters from other earth's or even help them out. He thought that he had felt something in Las Vegas one time, another speedster but then it fizzled and he could still feel the person, their speed rested at their fingertips and they didn't even use it to their advantage. You may be asking, how does this tie in now? Well, Eobard Thawne had found the person and recognized him to be Jacobson Peralta...Jacob, Thawne and the influence of Cisco Ramone had not been as bad as he first thought. In other words, Jacob was that speedster he felt all that while ago and from the looks of it, he was quite powerful, in fact, he would be able to hold himself against Eobard himself...he wondered why the man had never used it before. Until the legion came knocking on his door and Eobard understood too well, he was obligated and knew what the man wanted. He was here to collect on his debt and he had a feeling that the man was not going to take no for answer, Eobard knew that he could either save Peralta and teach him in the ways of bringing out his speed or he would have to kill him. |

"I know you're in there Eobard, come on, you know why we've come here now." Vulpes had entered once Eobard opened the door, clothed in his Reverse-Flash suit. He nodded his head and turned around, ready to leave until he stopped, noticing how Eobard had stayed rooted to where he was now. "You know I'm wondering why I am not hearing some speed-walking, come on, we've got work to do. Would you rather just stand there and catch some dust or do you wanna go after the real bad guys?" Eobard's eyebrow rose in such disbelief that it would have been in his hair, he knew that the term was subjective but from what the newspaper had read. It seemed that the term was fit with the Foundation and now the Legion was working with them, it was not something that he liked but he could not do anything about it. Such business was not his, he just worked with them and occasionally helped them out with problems, he knew this was going to be a battle but what kind? Were there other metas in this timeline? "That term is quite subjective, it depends on who see themselves as the good guy or bad guy. We never know if we are truly good or bad unless we show them the full strength of what we can achieve and how we wield it, this type of thing, it's not a war you're fighting. It's a rebellion." Eobard was no slouch when it came to crushing or even assisting in rebellions, he had helped many people with different things and sometimes they won, others they lost in the end. It was an odd thing rebellion, it was to often get a dictator out of power or to place the right person or empire on the throne that they should be ruling. It's never straightforward and that path can often lead to distrust, rebellion in ranks and death. "Yes, it is but this is more than that. I'm sure you've read the news or otherwise, you wouldn't be this hesitant with trying to help us out now. Talk to me, listen and let us see what we can do to ease your mind into this because I'm not letting you go, you've been a great help to us here." Eobard walked towards his window and could already see the night sky in the distance. "Tell me Vulpes, have you ever heard of something called the speed force?" |

"No I can't say that I have, is it something that I should know?" Eobard chuckled to himself, still facing the night sky and enjoying the feel of the cold air on his face, it was quite interesting in what he could do and now he was feeling an extra spark in the air tonight. He knew it wasn't Peralta, the man seemed to be repressing his own side of things. No, this was something else. Someone was interacting with the speed force on this earth and now that fascinated him if they continued, then he would have to pursue them and bring them to heel. "Yes it is, you've seen people with such speed that they can run a mile in under a minute. I, as a speedster, can do that under 3 Seconds. I have the power that I wield, it all comes down to us speedsters, some people have powers that no one ever explains. We have so much in this world, it makes up so much that we never really tested its possibilities." Eobard then settled himself, believing himself the impossible, only he had turned out different in his world. He had become the good guy, while Wally West. He was the man that people looked up to and that worried Eobard, Wally West was a criminal and people rooted for him, cheered for him and it was then that he realized, everybody loves a good bad guy. "So you're telling me that you are connected by a force that gives you speed? It gifted you this speed to do what? What was the purpose of it?" Eobard shrugged, many of his closest speedster allies had tried to talk with the being that was the speed force. He remembered his conversation with it and he was shaken to his core, on his earth, he had become the reverse flash like many others because he did not wish to become like his own worse villain. It turned out that many of his other earthly counterparts had wanted to harness the power of the speed force, wanting to be just like Wally West, instead, they all became villains. "No one knows, that's the thing. We've all had to make our own purposes, mine was to protect the earth and prevent certain elements from evidence. Beings like H.I.V.E or Brainiac, they all fought me and sometimes I won but they always had help in the form of another speedster. They called him The Flash, he was something of a villain on my earth and we became arch-enemies." Vulpes stood there in shock and he wondered for once if Eobard was joking, only his face was still serious and his eyes held a distant longing... |

"Why are you telling me this? This has nothing to do with the situation that I face as a Second in command of a war effort, this is now or never Eobard, are you going to help us?" Eobard looked towards Vulpes finding the man looked a bit pissed off and put out. He clearly did not have any more time for the games and talks of the speed force, this was too much for him. Eobard knew that this was not his earth but he did not wish to help out the bad people but who was that? Who was bad or good? As he said, the term was rather subjective. "I don't know. Who're the good guys here Vulpes, hm?" Vulpes tilted his head and realized what Eobard was saying all this time. He could not work with people that believed themselves the good guys when there were others who believed the same. It brought an odd ripple in his mind, Eobard was a sensitive person currently and now it was time to use his dislike of the villains against him... "Over 3 years ago, the Eldians launched an invasion on New Roma. This was what started the civil war within multiple cities in which Eldians held court, it became known as the red death..," Vulpes noted how Eobard had paled and continued on, this was what he needed. He needed the man to see what other men had believed or just wanted to in this instance. "They were named devils as a result and soon Hector Gonzalez had enough, he mustered his own Eldians, nicknamed Warriors for the fine skill they showed in arms. They infiltrated Seattle and launched the attack, it was for a just cause. The people in New Roma called for it, the eldians had destroyed their homes, people, and city. They wanted revenge..." Eobard bowed his head, New Roma, this city had to be of some importance, otherwise, they would not have launched into a war like that. Still, was this the true story, were these so-called eldians the bad guys? He didn't know "So, you want me to help you fight a war? I should tell you, it seems like there is another speedster out here...something is here and it's definitely not on the side of the Eldians..." Vulpes looked a bit shocked at that, his head raising slightly as he wondered what could be out there that put a pause in Eobard's voice. Only they could not focus on that for now. They needed to make sure that the Eldians would not gain any more ground, this was a war and they now had a speedster on their side. |

Eobard Thawne is someone that knew what he wanted in the world. He did not wish for it to be an endless peace, for he knew that was never possible, even in his world. There always something that waited in the wings, a new speedster perhaps or an empire being ruled by a supervillain looking to conquer the new earth that he had inhabited. Thawne knew that he had to fight for this if he truly wanted it, which was why he tested his speed continuously and was able to match Wally West. Speed was not the issue and never would be, the problem was what he knew was right and wrong. In this type of situation, he did not know. It seemed that the Eldians had committed the first transgression and thus deserved to be wiped out. Only the Eldians had stated that they were not their ancestors and deserved to be heard out. This was where Eobard felt the confusion of a thousand people in his mind, he had never been like this before. Now could he do this? The short answer was yes he could, he did not want to but he had given his word and this is where he falls into duty, as well as what he wants to do. Thawne knew that this was going to be a war. A fight that either side could win if he joined up with the foundation. Now due to the fact that Peralta was obviously repressing his speedster connection for some reason, it gave him an advantage. "You okay there Thawne? You're a bit pale, might want to relax and see if you can't train later. Get some of those thoughts out of your head, place them into the heat of the battle that is soon to come." How could he relax when they talked of war so casually? From what he heard, the foundation had just been dealt a serious blow and would take some serious healing for them to even think about launching a counter-invasion. This was not something that he would usually speak on but with his own plans coming to the forefront. He needed to be sure of one thing...that he could bring a new speedster into this world. "I'm alright Julianus, thank you. You may go and do whatever you do in your spare time." Eobard barely attention to the fleeting steps and turned his attention back down onto a newspaper in his hand. It had discussed what the Eldians had been through up to the attack on the Marley. They had suffered, bombings, even being made to test out some new artillery. Only Thawne knew that some of the things that the Eldians stated had been a bit stretched, for sympathy sake but he did not deny that it was horrifying. Eobard had a plan and if he wanted this to work, he would need to talk with Jacob Peralta himself. The man needed to be connected with his speed, perhaps he could 'stop' Thawne and bring him into their custody, thus stopping him from doing any heinous acts. Bowing his head for a moment, he knew that this would be a difficult plan but he would do what he needs to do. |

Eobard looked across the table and found himself staring at Joshua Graham. The man that was leading this army against the Eldians, now he had met this man once before and did not know what to think of him beside the fact that he was powerful. He did have a smart mind and was clearly ready for the battle that they would be doing against the powerful men of the Eldian organization, he studied the man for a moment. Already noticing how he did the same with him. Both men were powerful, Thawne with his speed, quick thinking, and smarts. While Graham matched him in ruthlessness, smarts, and tactics. Both were ready to do what they believed was right and currently, neither of them had a chance against the Eldians if they were not united in front of each other, much so in front of their peers. Now, this was the very moment that would decide the fate of the one Empire that could topple Eldia, this was the moment that Eobard waited for. He may have been from a different time but he knew that certain battles were defining in what legacy was to be left. One would have to decide on how they wished to be remembered, such as the Danes vs Saxons, there had been raids and then there were battles that were defining in what was left as a legacy to the Saxons, Danes, and many others. Now here he was, standing opposite the one man that could be Alfred The Great and him, Uthred The Bold. He stepped forward, allowing himself to assume the mantle of the speaker at this moment. "Graham, it's been a while since we last spoke and things have certainly changed in how you do things. You've recruited more soldiers and people are more than ready to support your war against the devils of the emerald jewel that is Seattle." Thawne knew that he was barely piercing Graham, the man was not much of a speaker but when he did speak, everyone paid attention. Who could not? When a powerful man speaks, you do listen and you want to see if the words he says next are some of wisdom or stupidity. Joshua was far from stupid. "Vulpes even rushed to me, stating whether I was going to be involved with this mission or not and now I wonder, how am I of such importance? I am nothing but a speedster, yes that is something far superior but why should you be worried? Do the Eldians have a speedster now?" Thawne chuckled, his eyes narrowing at the sight of Graham looking uneasy. Like he knew something that the others did not, Thawne filed that away, he could tell that there was obviously something with the Eldians and for a moment he wondered, what could it be? "Under certain circumstances, I could reassure you that is not the case but not anymore. A week before the attack on the Marley, I got strange reports from our people in London. They had suffered a power outage due to lightning crashing down...white lightning." Graham met Thawne's eyes and now it was the speedster himself who looked quite uneasy, something that was not very good for either of them. They or rather Graham wanted to make sure that no one could challenge them but with this recent lightning storm, it did nothing to ease his mind and he knew that this was going to be something that he had to choose. "White lightning? Huh, so he might be here. Tell me, did they report anything strange happening or was it just the white lightning?" Graham passed Thawne the report, allowing then speedster to read this himself as he was to caught up with the fact that Thawne might know who this was. "So you know him? One of your buddies from the future?" Thawne growled under his breath, the so-called God of Speed was not his friend. Godspeed as he had became known as was a speedster that could split himself into two. Due to the threshold of his own speed beginning to fail him, and even weakening himself in the process. He was not someone to be taken lightly, even Thawne had trouble with the bastard. "I know something like this and if he was on the Eldian's side, it means that he is more dangerous than ever. He's not someone that just joins you for fun, he needs a cause, something that he can believe in. This cause, this fight against you all with the Eldians...it's just enough for him to join and possibly hinder me in the process." Graham looked over his shoulder, finding himself staring into a mirror as he eyed himself a bit differently. Shrugging with a carless bob of his head, he took back the report, waiting for either of them to say something. "So, this Godspeed, he's someone that can defeat you? He's not someone that we should take lightly is what you're saying, now what I want to know is how he got here or if he's here in the first place." Eobard walked towards Graham and found that the man was looking at him with an extra bit of wariness about him, hm, the new threat was obviously being taken seriously but this was not going to matter. They needed someone on the inside, too bad that a ton of their shit now means that was not going to happen anytime soon. "Hm, he got here how any other speedsters get to the 1940s...he traversed the speed force and miscalculated or he's here looking for speedsters and wanting to steal their own power, add it to his own." Eobard never got used to his sarcastic and neither had anyone else around him, he could see how much Graham was reacting to it and it did seem to be an acquired taste. He simply smirked, walking over to a pitcher of peach iced-tea and pouring himself a glass with fluid movements. "So, what do we do with this Rogue speedster?" |
