The Plot Thickens Started by: AlessandraKorkunova on Jul 07, '19 02:20

The walls of a tiny New York apartment was painted with the remains of someone's dead body. A man whose pants were covered in dried piss laid lifeless on the welcome mat. Whoever first entered the apartment must have had quite the surprise. Police officers and detectives had arrived after someone had reported the incident and when questioned they had no idea how long ago the murder was committed - all they heard was some terrible shouting from across the street. Then a loud wack. Alessandra Korkunova was alerted when she grabbed a copy of the daily newspaper from a stand. As she bit into her bagel on her way to work, her eyes were glued to the words, the purpose of them mainly to make New York and the surrounding cities aware of a serial killer on a ruthless rampage.

'BEWARE: SERIAL KILLER ON THE LOOSE. STAY ALIVE.'

Alessandra had no idea how serious it was until she heard about two more bodies found dead. The serial killer was dumb and smart at the same time to leave a small candy on each of the bodies he killed. It was the only way the police knew he did it. This time, a couple from Chicago was found tied to each other and forced to stab each other multiple times until the serial killer was satisfied. He left two tootsie rolls near the crime scene as a small souvenir for the police department. The local community was past the point of just being a little scared. Even the police were growing frustrated that they couldn't him. Everything had been tried already, including finding any prints on the candy, but of course - the son of a bitch probably used gloves.

The streets were quiet in Bella Vista, Philadelphia. Alessandra was enjoying the peaceful nights. But as she kept on hearing more news about this candy serial killer, she began to imagine just what would she do if she had an encounter with him?

The candy serial killer was making his usual rounds again as the night sky creeped over Philadelphia. He had not been in the city before but it was now time to execute his madness on the innocent townies. No one knew who this killer was or where he was going to be tonight. However, that didn't stop him from thinking that he could die anytime. It would also be a shame if this was the last night that he could carry out his murderous mass. As he silently strolled across the streets, he held a bag of candy in one hand while the other was holding onto a large butcher knife. He had stolen it from his recent victim, an unlucky teenager on their first day of work. This killer held no mercy for anyone. Even for his own family. Memory of him cutting up his family into little pieces provoked him even more as he noticed a woman walking alone on the other end of the street.

Alessandra Korkunova was aware that she was outside at a dangerous time of the night. But she was taking out the trash as she noticed her bins were getting more full. Just outside her apartment, she could feel the cold breeze travelling along her neck. "Brrrr," she said aloud. Her steps retreated back into her home. Love at first sight? Killers don't experience love. They get the thrill from blood oozing out of someone's body. The candy serial killer was known to kill people at first sight. But as he looked at the lady on the other end of the street, he paused his movement and stared at her. He became somewhat obsessed with her. It was very creepy to say the least.

As Alessandra Korkunova was back inside, she fell back into her sofa and enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace and the jazz music that played softly in the background. Life was peaceful. The next morning was not so.

It was early in the morning when Alessandra suddenly heard some ruckus from her backyard. It sounded like someone was looking through her trash in an obnoxious manner. She was still half asleep when she got out of her bed, almost knocking herself over a pair of fluffy slippers. When she slipped her feet in the comfy shoes she went out to the back door and stepped outside. The sounds had already stopped. No one and no thing was there. The morning wind hit her hard. One of her bins fell down and she went to go pick up. As she approached the trash cans and hugged her robe closer to her chest, she felt a shiver run down her spine.

This time it wasn't from the cold wind.

There was a piece of candy lying next to the bin. It's as if someone had strategically put it there for her to see when she had to go pick the pin up. It was a small and hard caramel candy. She looked up instantly and whipped her head to the left and right, paranoid that someone may be watching her...

The Night Before

Right after she went back inside she decided to take a quick power nap. Work that day had been somewhat tiring and stressful. She wanted to quench her thirst with her all time favourite caramel latte drink upon waking up from the nap. Steam traveled in the air as she poured herself some of the delicious drink, her mouth salivating just by looking at it. She then took it upon her lips before blowing it to cool it down. She had forgotten that one of her windows near her kitchen were open and unfortunately for her anyone passing by could have seen what she was doing in the kitchen in the last few minutes. It wasn't until after she finished her drink that she realized she had forgotten to close it. The candy serial killer had his first pleasurable experience with his eyes that night.
