The sound of bullets outside of Luis HQ all but drew to a close.. leaving a startling eerie silentness left in Philadelphia.. The War was over.. Both sides had lost many that they called friends in this life of ours, but even friends can be enemies at times.. As Luis pulled back the blinds, he couldn't help but notice the large crowd forming outside.. his guards were having an extremely hard time keeping them in line, and Luis knew what had to be done...

He took a long drag off his cigarette and exhaled before stubbing it out in the ashtray and opening the front door of his HQ and stepping outside.

"Hello Ladies and Gentleman, I know why all of you are here.. I will get straight to the point as I know you all have been dying to hear what my reasons were for removing New York and Chicago..." Luis paused as he cleared his throat

"Sometimes in this life, you have to make tough decisions.. as a young lad to this life of ours, I have grown to learn this fairly quickly.. At the end of the day, it was Us or Them..... There was nothing personal, strictly business."

He noticed that some of the faces in the crowd were puzzled, what exactly did that even mean.. us or them?...

"I can see, that some of you may not accept these words, you require a REAL reason.. well.. the truth of the matter is, Things were only going to get worse for me and my people, the longer things dragged on the more it became a risk of being removed, I know Philly was being looked at quite closely, and for some time now.. I did what i needed to do to protect those under me, and in reality the population as a whole.. See, LV was not where New York and Chicago planned to stop... One by one, they wanted to knock down everyone around them who could potentially come to Philly's aid if things ever went wrong...." Luis paused again before continuing on

"Late into the evening, while shooting was still transpiring with the removal of LV, Tim personally had come to me talking about my feelings about Thomas, and well.. Angelo himself had been talking about a L.A Removal... I will not drag anyone's names further, but due to these transgressions.. it became very clear to me that "their regime" would stop at nothing until it was in control once again, putting me and my people at risk...."

Some of the people were nodding at this point, some were still disgruntled.. but Luis understood.. losing your friends to bloodshed was a hard thing for certain people to accept, what was even more hard was that this is the way of this life.. You live and you die... 

"I hope this all perhaps answered the questions you had lurking in your head, and thank you for your time..."

Luis quickly slipped back into his HQ as the masses began shouting and yelling at him... Luis closed the door behind him and sighed.. It's time i go pour myself another drink....

As in "us or them" you mean 1041 right? There seemed to be a lot of wise guy and below who were not in that bracket that died.

I just struggle to see why reskins rhm can live but a 5 day old gangster gets wacked the balance seems off protecting the population as a whole or protecting who you feel like are two different things right?

Due to infractions committed by KennyRusso, a New York leader was punished by the gods, and inadvertently protected from any possible attack. Rather than setting back our attack until he was freed from his prison, we decided to move forward with the plan. This made it necessary to be a little more thorough in the hunting of under mades than maybe was necessary originally, because of the threat of those men and women as possible proers when Michael was ejected from jail. 

Combine that with an unfortunate wackback on Don Nicholas of Chicago, which made it necessary to also dispose of Chicago people of a similar status. It isn't necessarily what we wanted, but what we needed to do to keep this as clean as possible for our people, which in the end, is what is most important. 

Rather than trying to pick out the people most likely to try to pro, we decided that it would be best to just blanket scorch anyone who could not be vouched for by one of our leaders. A few people were vouched for as such, which included Lust. Those people were saved, and the rest were fair game.

It might not seem "nice," but to perfectly honest, this is the mafia. We as leaders owe our primary protection to our people, not to the people of the city we are murdering, regardless of their age or stature.

I meant lust  she was a rhm of a 1041 member and she lives, I don't care about what went down but when luis says things like "their regime " that regime is dead so how can he sit and say hes protecting the population as a whole when hes actively in favour of no protection order long after target's are dead, look at the amount of dead that never were 1041 be honest your not protecting the population your protecting your own just be honest fuck

I had thought it was pretty obvious that he meant the populations of the cities not named New York and Chicago, but perhaps not. He did go on to elaborate by saying, in literally the next sentence:

New York and Chicago wished to keep removing cities, at least from what Luis is saying there. It would have only been a matter of time until one of those cities was Philadelphia.

Vladimir was sleepy, but he wasn't the type to leave when a Godfather was speaking. Taking a swig from his flask, he stood among the crowd, scratching away at the dried blood kissing the navy blue stripes of his тельня́шка.

I'm sorry lad but I don't see the contradiction. He laid it out clear as day, and then he elaborated on it further.

Not in the sense that I am understanding "1041 takedown" to mean. When you say it like that, I think of a specific move on only the 1041 and known associates.

The move was made against the leadership of New York and Chicago combined, regardless of their affiliation with the 1041. I held many of those men in high regard, but I hold my godfather(s) first and foremost.

If I was in any city but Philadelphia right now I would be sweating bullets.

Current pattern from Philly is wipe a city, spin it to be protecting the population at large, wipe another 2 cities, spin it as a pre-emptive protecting our people... I can't wait for the next one just to see if Louise will drop the facade & admit this is a purge regime.

Given the concentration of hitters (& instigators cough JTG cough) in Detroit I can state with some certainty however strong the bond appears now, give it 4-5 weeks max & paranoia will kick in then  it will be bye-bye Detroit.

At first Aladdin held back a little, listened to the reactions and then stepped forward. He walks up behind Norway and taps him on the shoulder. He takes out his whiskey flask from his back pocket, with some of the finest vintage from Crown & Cork and hands it to Norway. 

Now! Now! Young lad. I understand your grieving. Moments like these make people do uncharacteristic things. I for one am also grieving with you today. I have attended quite some funerals today, and believe me I am no fan of them. But when friends fall, it is our duty to visit and show respect to the fallen. All honorable and capable men and women, dead in the twilight. Such is the nature of our business.

Now as for doing this for the greater community? I assure you. This isn't the first time Philly and its associates were involved in a takedown. However don't for one second mistake that the wars previously, were a product of Philly driving the war machine of sorts. Philly has for the lack of a better word, taken part in the march the last some times the war drums were in session. But believe me when I say this, we certainly did not initiate those attacks. If anything we were just partially involved and backed the decisions of the GodFather Chairmen Council. A council that was heavily influenced by the 1041 as you previously stated. Now don't for second think that BodFather or Tim, weren't good men. If anything I have a ton of respect for the fallen Bodfather. Guy was a close friend of mine. And today I have certainly weeped for him, more than he would know and certainly more than you can imagine.

Now as for your prophecy about Detroit. Perhaps you aren't well versed in information much, goomba's rarely are. But Detroit came to the aid of the 4 cities involved in the takedown last night. They helped clean up any messes from the initial fight. And we don't take that lightly, since we know Chairman Insta had to fly in from his vacation. Any man willing to cut his vacation short to help out his friends is something to be noted. Now yes Detroit has roots with my fallen dear friend Bodfather, but even Insta was not oblivious to the workings of Chi/NY. And believe me, you don't have all the information pertaining to the matter being spoken off. And I wont divulge that either, since stepping on fallen men, isn't my cup of tea. Will say this though. In the end, GodFather Chairman Luis made a tough decision for the greater good. We had already lost friends in LV due to Tim's blood lust and the scourging then. And the blood in LV wasn't even dry yet and he wanted more. We couldn't have that. Wars aren't profitable, if anything they are bad for business. Any man that knows the Philly outfit or mine in LV now, knows were businessmen and anything that stops our cash flow is a problem. 

Aladdin takes a step forward and looks into the young goomba's face.

And yes we had to play those scourging tactics out this time as well, as Wayne so very well highlighted. But dont think it was easy, dont think it was enjoyable. If anything last night as crowns fell and heads rolled. We lost many a friends. And that we don't take lightly either. And hence they are all paid high respect.

Prophecies my friend are sexy to look at, but rarely satisfying. Its like impulsive shopping trips. Nice at first, disastrous when the bills come in. Don't do that to yourself. "However, no matter how much I realize that the reason is irrelevant, I still do appreciate the luis_Patangeli and the other powers of the attacking city coming out to the crowd and owning it.  I can understand that it's hard to do sometimes - but it does help our community to heal and grow."
