Regarding Las Vegas and Falcao Started by: CharlieCroker on Jan 02, '11 01:00

After a hard night of drinking, Charlie pushed open to doors of The Liberazine headquarters. The sudden burst of sunlight made him squint and cover his eyes. Quickly turning round he heads back into his office to collect his trusty sunglasses, knocking over several empty bottles of scotch he returns to the doors of the HQ to finally begin his speech.

Right then, as you will all undoubtedly know by now I lost two of my closest associates and dearest friends two days ago to an ill informed lunatic. Falcao came to me on that fateful night to talk to me about an old grudge our bloodlines once shared. I duly informed him that the grudge died along with one of my distant relatives.

At first this didn't suffice in his eyes as he probed me further, saying that one of my members had actually told him that I planned to take himself and his crew. Firstly and foremost I can assure you all as I did Falcao that there was never such a plan and that I stood by my word of not holding any former grudges.

I thought that was the end of the matter until word reached me that a Consigliere from my captain, Opus' family had been gunned down in cold blood. My suspicions were aroused. I continued to talk with Falcao until a masked assailant tried to take me out too. Shortly afterwards I was enlightened by a witness that Townslave, Falcao's Right Hand Man, had sought protection. I asked Falcao why he would, in such a short time after I was attacked. Falcao's sheepish behaviour further aroused my suspicion. A number of close friends caught wind of the situation and quickly contacted me to ask if I needed assistance. Before we could take aggressive action they had gunned down my Right Hand Woman, OpheliaPayne, and my former Left Hand Man The_Hitcher.

It is no secret I was angry. Other cities began to hear of Falcao's rogue actions and the rest as they say, is history.

I still bare no grudge to Falcao's bloodline and will stake no claim in Las Vegas. As I said before, I have no interest in the fine city other than the occasional business deal or long weekend at the casinos.

Pausing for breath Charlie checks his pockets for a cigar and lighter after a frenzied moment he finally finds a Cuban in his inside pocket, although half smoked already Charlie relights it and exhales with a deep sigh.

Now all this is over I'd like to commend the swift and effective actions of those who assisted us in our fight. As we are in public I wont disclose their names as these walls have ears, you know? Right I'm still in mourning and am in dire need of another drink so I will take my leave. Thank you all for your time.

Tony nods his head.. listening to Don CharlieCroker's speech about the bloody events

As a leader of a family, a persons first priorioty is to protect their family and city at all costs.

This can come in many forms, from attacking a city to protect yourself, to clearing up your information and then organizing a swift attack if needed. Protecting your family can sometimes mean swallowing your pride, not squeezing the trigger, or not letting your emotions get ahead of you or simply walking away and taking more time to consider the information and your reaction.

Like my good friend Sal_Giaquinto said once "Gotta use your head in this business, not your heart"

A lot of hard work lost on both ends and a city left in ruins by the destruction, is the end result from this and at such a cheerful time of the year.. it is a shame.

Tony pours out some liqor for the fallen mobsters from both cities and orders the drive to fetch his limo

Zack listens to Don CharlieCroker carefully, and decides to speak his mind on this matter...

Don CharlieCroker... seems to me you reacted like any other good leader would. You preserved your family by defending it the best you could. I feel saddeness for the two very respectable men you have lost. I am sure their kins will soon become greater than they were. And from this i see that your family is strong, casualties could've been worse. Congratulations on your win, and my condolences for the good people you have lost.

Zack nods to Don CharlieCroker and steps down to let others the chance to share their thoughts...
