Please, can we clean the mess?
Even the day after a major take-down
Over the whole country
People are only telling fictional stories
Literally, they have nothing to do with the society we live in
Even the explanation of a take-down is hard to find
 
Are we really letting down all our pride
Rambling on and on
Even just talking to ourselves?
 
Stories are fine, if
Put in the right spot
As things are now with these
Masses of stories
Masses of monologues
I lose track of what matters
Noone seems to care about what they do as
Grabbing all the benefits is all that seems to matter

Even if it would be misinterpreted

Streets need to be cleaned up
To come back to the core of our values
Really, it is bothersome

You can't really drown out what isn't there. I'd get it if there was loads of hot button topics being proffered and not gaining traction, because the discussions are being overwhelmed by detectives and bookstores, but there just isn't. 

Maybe if people offered more "traditional" street discussion there would actually be more...well, traditional street discussion?
