It had been two weeks since Levey had seen hide or hair of Tamsyn. Ted had been no help at the bar, he only saw her a couple of times, as many as Levey did, and Ted was good. He never asked questions, just did as he was asked and made a buck doing it. He was the right man to trust, but that also meant he was a dead end. So Levey had followed a trail. He picked up a hint here or there of a redhead with a weird name. He followed that trail all the way out to Seattle, and started asking questions in the wrong bar apparently.

That's how he wound up in the trunk of this car with a bloody lip. Sure he could kick out the tail-light and try and get these guys pulled over, but if they didn't get pulled over they'd make him pay in blood for the damage to the car. So instead, he waited patiently, bound, gagged and thinking.

It felt like about half an hour before the car stopped and he was pulled out of the trunk. He was tossed onto the gravel, which, if he moved too much was going to absolutely ruin his suit, so he waited for one of the bigger men who had nabbed him to lift him up to his feet. He didn't though, only to his knees. That's when Levey felt the cold steel on the back of his head.

Who the hell was this Tamsyn?! Why did she hide so well? How did she have so many powerful friends? HOW DID HE MISTAKE HER FOR A JOURNALIST?!

"What should we do with the guy?"

He heard a booming voice behind him ask.

"We wait for the boss. She's on her way."

Came the answer.

Well, on the bright side, Levey had at least a few more minutes of life left before someone pulled a trigger.

"We've got him ma'am."

Got him?  Shit.  Katherine cursed inwardly to herself as she called out to Garth without missing a beat making for her car.  "It's time Garth."  She spoke in a manner that didn't hold much volume, but still made her men jump when they heard it.  She didn't have to speak loudly to command the respect they gave her and often her quiet demeanor got more results than a crazy blustering one.  Either way, she moved with purpose to her car, Garth right on her heel.  Of all her guards, he was the one that seemed to move seamlessly with her as if his mind were linked with her own.  "What are you thinking about this one Kat?"

She shook her head as she looked up to her oldest friend, confidant, and protector.  "Not sure Garth.  Just been hearing some troubling things.  This one is causing a ruckus around town.  Honestly it's the last thing we need right now and I just got a panicked call from Bernard.  It seems things got a little out of hand in his shop..."  She sighed a little and rubbed her temples as she closed the door, hearing Shane and Rasputin get in the back seat as Garth started up the car.  She wasn't certain what she was walking into so she took three today.

Garth just chuckled softly and shook his head a bit.  "Bernard gets panicked if a cat wanders into his shop..."

Katherine felt her demeanor crack just a little and she gave a soft chuckle and nodded a bit.  "I know..."  Gazing out the window she watched the scenery go by as she tried to get herself in the right headspace for this meeting.

Not five minutes passed and she heard the wheels crunch on the gravel.  Looking out, she gave a soft hiss.  She knew that this kind of treatment was the way of the Mafia, but honestly...  Pushing her door open and not even so much as waiting for either of her guards to get out themselves, those high heels hit the ground.  "When I said I wanted to find this guy, I didn't mean so barbarically!  A coffee shop would have sufficed gentlemen."  Her voice was smooth as silk and warm as honey as she moved with purpose toward the bound man.  Laying a light hand upon the gun in her guard's hand, she guided it away before drawing a switchblade and slicing his bindings.  Her guards tensed a little but they were used to their boss by now.  Besides, it would take some serious work on this man's part if he were want to do her harm.  The men around them fairly bristled with a readiness and it was clear that things would get bad quite fast if the man threatened the petite woman before him.

"Good afternoon sir, I do hope you'll forgive the rash meeting planned today.  I'm Katherine Pryde and I run a small operation out here in Seattle.  I've been hearing about quite a stir being made around the city and unfortunately not everyone takes kindly to that sort of thing."  Her eyes remained upon the eyes of the man before her as she offered a hand to pull him up should he accept it.  "I just  wondered if you'd indulge me in a moment to understand?"  One might wonder just how far that sweet exterior extended as those overly expressive chestnut eyes remained fixated upon the man before her with all the gentleness of a dove.  Yet a closer look may find traces of a raptor...  Just depended upon the moment.  One did not come in and cause a stir in her district without her at least looking into it.

Levey nodded and took the woman's hand. Once again, he laid on a thick Texas accent as he spoke to the stranger before him. Petite as the woman might be, she was clearly in charge of the half dozen men around. The less she knew about him the better.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to cause so much trouble. Name's Lee."

He stood up to his full height, an average size of a man Levey rubbed at his wrists where the ropes were just a moment ago.

"Ya see darlin' there's a girl, Tamsyn. I made the mistake of trustin' too quick. She took me for everything I had one night and I'd like to pay her a visit, but all I got to go on is a name, a pretty face, and red hair, the likes of which I've never seen on the range before. I tell ya'll, this is harder than herdin' that's fer sure."

He looked to Kat after glancing around at his surroundings.

"Your friends here, they've got my six-shooter, and I'm not one for a fist fight, any way we can go get that coffee you were talkin' 'bout a minute ago?"

He smirked in a friendly way at her as he waited to see just how friendly those eyes really were.
