| The Murder of my Father: Why Seattle Failed Us ALL! | Started by: Mr_Madonna on Jul 29, '19 19:51 |

Let's imagine a scenario. Let's imagine that the Streets are dead. Where they were once thriving places of business, with dozens of Street Speakers, many of whom were eagerly anticipated by a rapt audience, holding courts on a variety of topics. Let's imagine speeches listened to by hundreds, with many people participating. Let us, basically, think of a past where the Street were what mattered. Now let's look at the present. Stale Streets, uninspired and uninspiring stories, listened to by single digit numbers; participation at an all time low. And then, what's that!! It's someone coming out and actually talking about things. Rigorously describing the world as he sees it. That's what Madonna did, with his brave and RESPECTFUL speech on the city he loved: Seattle. And close to 120 people listened! And many joined in. Long form discussion returned to the Streets! Joy! It appears we had turned a corner, and the Streets could be saved. What does Seattle do with the most popular Street Speaker of recent times? Grant him VIP Status? Celebrate Him? Promote Him? No. They shot him in the face and dumped his body in the Street. This was murder, pure and simple. Nothing more and nothing less. My father did nothing except energise and excite an otherwise dead Street. And for this, he's shot in his sleep. So now where are we? Back to sleepy, desolate Streets. The Bright Shining Light extinguished by some anonymous assassin's bullet. IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED? SULLEN, QUIET STREETS? What do Hayley Mickey_Bowers alan Video Tony- Wilson Wild-Card Suna Integra Kat-Pryde Thomas_OMalley and Newt_Scamander have to say about this |

Many thanks to those who tipped this speech, and my fathers. Could I respectfully ask, anyone who wishes to support me and my work, to arrange for VIP Status. Something my father's city so obviously failed to do for him. |

Please I did not dump Madonna in the streets. The world has had too much of him there.
Madonna had disrespected an acting Godfather in Chicago by calling him "Fragile"...Eh, not cool Madonna had also broken Seattle Omerta, whether or not SHE/HE thought they did. You got problems or questions ask privately dont drag it to the streets and embarrass us. Madonna had also pretty much ruined Lillis Mollys story when they rudely interrupted her. Madonna also shot someone long ago, Thomas Laurel allowed me to let your Parent live so we did.
Many joined in...Eh, okay.
Friend, in all sincerity i do not wish to waste my time. I originally thought you were new to these shores by the way you were speaking, so i thought let me educate before i decapitate. Plenty of friends have shared with me that you probably are not that new. If you wish to have a private debate and wrestle over what was done cool lets do it. This petty drama is not worth your time and it certainly is not worth mine. |

So Video, just so we are clear, in Seattle you don't get killed for: Shooting the BGs of a Made member of LA Giving a speech critiquing your home city But you *do* get shot for replying to a disrespectful person in a respectful way? You, Video, admit to being a bad earner. You admit to being worried about the upper structure of a rival city looking down on you, so you shoot a promising, high earning, high profile member? My critique of Seattle didn't go far enough. |

I do not think you really do want my thoughts but here we go. We'll start with Madonna's speeches.. They simply were not speeches, more like questions to try and spark discussion. The one time Madonna constructed a speech and presented a critique of their home city, Madonna went on to criticize the names of the upper structure in Seattle and the fact they we didn't provide him VIP status. On top of that Madonna also tried telling Seattle leadership that we have too many crews and that we should have made him a RHM. Although the tone might have sounded respectful... It wasnot. If I recall from old journals, in the old times as Madonna liked to reference often, disrespect caught you the death penalty. I won't even go in to the omerta issue with Madonna's speech. Madonna had also shot someone for whatever reason, could almost call it "murder pure and simple." Again, once upon a time a person would have been killed nearly immediately after even shooting at an unauthorized target. Luckily for Madonna at that time, the CL of the victim and Seattle showed mercy. The final reason Madonna was dismissed from this world was the pretty blatant disrespect towards the respectable leader of Chicago. Dean was basically told by Madonna that Madonna is a superior thinker and that Dean is fragile. Once again an offense that carries the death penalty. Not exactly the respectful narrative you're trying to pass on us today. You say Seattle failed us all. I am afraid it was Madonna that failed Seattle. It is very unfortunate that things happened this way, however you as Madonna's next of kin can do better. You have to make that choice though. I wish you the best, sir. |

Wilson, Deanwinchester- attempted to belittle the valid and necessary work that I was doing, and I dealt with him firmly but respectfully. The point is that my accidental shooting of a BG was treated as such. My critique was reasonable and treated as such. So let's he honest. Video knows that Dean is fragile and shot Madonna because Seattle have an understandable fear of Chicago. That's why it was done. And the Streets will suffer. And that's a tragedy. |

We all know that any practical advice we offer this fine gentleman is going to fall on deaf ears. I'm not here to offer any argument to Mr. Madonna. I'd like to say what I know that I- and a few others- have been thinking since his father's first You, Mr. Madonna, and your father must think that we are the dumbest group of sods you've ever happened upon. Under the guise of "loving" his city, your father proceeded to compromise the security of his city, insult every leader with emboldened insolence, and then tied it all up with the "generous" offer of his services. I hate to burst your bubble, but the lot of us saw right through it. That post was nothing but one big "I am so much smarter than all of you." What blows my mind is how surprised your father was when it was met with disagreement. Now, you've come to the streets and done the same thing. How do you imagine it's going to be met this time? I know folks like you, and nothing anyone says is going make a dent. I wish your new CL the best of luck. By the way, I won $500k on a bet that you'd do exactly what you've just done. I feel like I should split it with you. With a muffled laugh, Emily shakes her head and walks off. |

Mr Madonna
You seem to be causing a commotion! You also seem to have an over-inflated opinion of yourself - “the streets will suffer”? “Most popular street speaker of recent times”? “High profile member”? Personally, I think you're borderline nuts! I'm not sure what everybody else thinks!
You probably don't know this, but this used to be my playground, and I understand that it's human nature that you might need to express yourself, but perhaps you just need a holiday? After all, you can''t keep acting like a virgin!
I'm not going to dress you up as someone you're not, I've never spoken to you, but you obviously like to express yourself! The more you talk, however, the deeper and deeper you seem to be sinking.
This is American life, this isn't Hollywood, this is Seattle – you're not living in the movies, this is all about Omerta. You'll probably get to die another day, but at least you'll have had your 4 minutes of fame! |

William wanders into the street, smoking his last MorleyTM Cigarette. Thankfully it was now late evening and the sun was well enough down that he didn't feel the need to self immolate, and that would provide all the edge he would need to grab a pack or two off some generous schlub... along with a bite to eat perhaps. Here some high class whinging, he stopped beneath a broken street light to finish his cigarette and listen to the heart breaking tale of the latest 'My CL done did me bad'. |

Lyric, you stole my fishnet wristband. What gives? "The streets will suffer”? - Yes, Madonna was storming the Streets. Nobody caused that much of a stir in that short a space of time. “Most popular street speaker of recent times”? See above - it's entirely true. “High profile member”? - Who else in that crew had a higher profile? |

You still haven't answered my question. Just what is your definition of omerta? I haven't been around very long but I do know how to read and every rule set talks about omerta and the penalty for breaking it. You were lucky to even get a response from Godfather Video in the first place instead of an instant bullet, much less two responses. |

Mr_Madonna I feel your pain and very sorry about the death of your Father. I know how hard it is to lose someone especially a parent. Omertà is an extreme form of loyalty and solidarity. It seals lips of men even in their own defense, a loved one's defense and even when they feel they are innocent of charged crimes. But in your father’s situation the term Omertà is thrown around too loosely. . Your father wasn’t "loyal to the oath of omertà" for as a WiseGuay he hadn’t taken one. Had he vowed to continue to represent his crew, his brothers and sisters, his district, and city with respect and great pride, vowed to never bring harm to another of his crew, to keep the interests of the crew and city as a first priority in his mind, maybe he could value what it all means. This might be a entirely different story had he understood, took the oath of a Made Man, perhaps he would still be alive today. Move on Brother, you can’t bring family business to the streets. All you are doing here is creating a vendetta that literally can only be resolved by taking of revenge. I don’t think your father would want that. I think he would want you to learn by his mistakes. I wish you the best of luck, but you got to let it go. |

Blueface had witnessed the speech Madonna gave hours before his unfortunate demise and thought the narcissistic tomfoolery regarding Seattle was finally over. After standing for a couple hours listening to the voices of the Streets chime in to add to the amusing spectacle earlier, he grew tired and finally sat down on a nearby bench. As he took his time trying to rest his weary feet from all the standing, he figured he'd go back to the usual daily grind. He spotted an inattentive lady carrying her purse and got to work; tiptoeing his way to the unfortunate victim. As his hands were about to dig into the lady's purse, he heard new commotion coming from the direction where the late Madonna's speech came from. He figured that would be worth more his time than this lady's savings so he walked his way back to the comfort of his bench.
He noticed that the new speaker looked similar to Madonna and was echoing the same disdain for the leadership of Seattle. Blueface has already seen that notable figures have already voiced all that is to be said regarding the importance of our life's values so he just decided to voice his amusement.
"Well, just when I thought this clown show has given me all the laughs it could possible give, I get a part 2. Isn't this a great day to be an onlooker in the Streets?" Blueface voiced out loud as a chuckle escaped his lips.
The number of stern looks from the crowd told him this wasn't an incredibly common sentiment among them.
"All jokes aside, it is honestly impressive to me how your father managed to even live long enough to become a crew's Wise Guy with how delusional and narcissistic he made himself seem with that speech he dropped. I have no idea how any person in this life of ours feels so entitled to be given handouts from his city's upper structure due to his self-perceived 'skill and importance' and in the same speech make fun of his upper structure's names? You're lucky to even survive long enough in this livelihood of ours to become a Don's Wise Guy so the gall of anyone to demand such things and even convince his kid that it is a just cause he should continue to champion is incredulous to me. If it proves one thing about your father, it's that he has an inflated ego with not much to show up for it other than a bullet hole. Don't make the same mistake as him and groom your children to do the same," Blueface said.
Content with his speech, he sunk back into the crowd as he sat back on his bench in anticipation of further continuation to this 'discussion'. |

Jester spun an iron ring around one arm while he ate his potato like an apple in the other.
"I know I'm simple, but I coulda guessed that speech was gonna land Madonna in a dirt hole. That's not Seattle, that's the mafia. You don't talk about bosses like that. There's so many things that are fun to debate, but there's things that you just don't talk about publicly. Maybe for our next street debate we oughta talk about what actions in this world warrant death. There's about 4000 things here that'll get you killed and Madonna managed to cover half of them in one street speech."
Jester does some reverse handsprings off into the sunset to find something better to do. |

That's life. Get over it. You chose to be in it no one forced you. Anyone can day anyday. I could wake up tomorrow and get hit by a car and die or get shot. Move on. |

Fat-Moe comes to the streets being bit grumpy from not having his breakfast just yet. He looks over towards Mr_Madonna sith a disgusted gaze. Grabbing a apple from a vendors stall before he starts to speak. "Your father came to the streets with this sickening entitlement mentality, as your doing so yourself . He was disrespectful to our GFC Video and the SEA leadership. With the nerve to break Omerta. For everything we say or do in this life we chosen, we must be prepared to face the music be it death or rewarded." Fat_Moe turns to head home to see if breakfast is ready yet. |
