Doughboys Palace in Detroit Started by: Marcus on Jan 18, '11 10:51

Marcus walked leisurely along the freshly cleaned streets of Detroit. With the snow coming down, many were out cleaning sidewalks, streets, and piling the snow on a long bank on the right of the streets so business could continue at its normal pace.

Pulling a cigarette from his mouth, he motioned for Bob his head of security to grab some attention while Marcus found something to stand on. Standing up, he flicked the cigarette into the snow.

Bob quickly obeyed his Godfather and pulled a pistol from his pocket, firing two shots in the air, a crowd began to gather.

With the move over and everyone settling in, I believe its time to get down to business. I would like to announce the opening of Doughboy's Palace in Detroit.

Maximum Bets are as follows:

Blackjack: $200,000
Slots: $250,000
Roulette: $35,000

Enjoy!

Money. That's the reason we're in the business. Sure, there are fringe benefits involved in following La Cosa Nostra, but in the end it always boils down to money. People without it want it, and people who have it always want more. In this respect, Spuff was no different from any other fellow plying their trade across the eight cities, and the opportunity to make a quick buck always piqued his curiosity.

Overhearing a brace of shots, he turned his head towards the source where a crowd had begun to gather with alarming alacrity. Strolling over, but hanging towards the back of the throng, he listened attentively to what Godfather Marcus had to say. Money. That was what caught his attention. The newest casino in town presented a perfect opportunity to lay his hands on some cold, hard cash. What lay before him was the prospect of robbing the Godfather blind, and the best part was that nobody would be able to do a damn thing about it.

Don Marcus, you may rest assured be certain that I'll be paying a visit to this establishment of yours. No hard feelings about the inevitable emptying of your vaults though. It'll all be above board, don't worry.

Smiling to himself, he set off to conclude his business in New Orleans. Patrick didn't like to be kept waiting for too long. That boy had a temper to make a rabid bull seem tame. As soon as he was finished though, he made a mental note to pay a visit to Detroit and, more importantly, Doughboy's Palace.

Roman grins after receiving news of the new casino in Detroit.

Well I certainly am looking forward to frequenting Detroit now.  There's nothing more depressing than seeing a city without a working casino within its limits.  This will certainly make any trips to Detroit that I need to make much more enjoyable.  Well done, Marcus!

After Katie's flight, she only flew to sell drugs, got into Detroit she found a cafe to grab some coffee before getting down to business. She ordered her coffee and took a seat in a large cushy chair next to a window. Katie watched the snow come down, large flakes, one after the other covered the ground painting the city white. Maybe she appreciated the snow here more then in Chicago because Detroit had that new city feel.

She tested the coffee with a small sip and concluded that it was still a bit hot to drink. Katie placed it on the small table to the side of her and picked up the paper. A few pages in there was an exciting add announcing the opening off a new casino. Katie knew that former under boss of her Godfather had taken the reins of Detroit and had established the city for himself. She smiled at the news and made a mental note to stop by and see if she could make herself and boss a little extra cash.

I've been to the casino in Detroit and let me just say...wow! Of course my experience could have been much more memorable had I not lost so much money. But those big bets keep me coming back for more! Plus the ladies working there, let me tell ya. Fellas, leave your woman at home. Like an old "friend of mine" used to say, don't take sand to the beach.
